How to share iTunes account?

Hi, i'm sure i'm not the only one thats asked this question so hopefully theres an answer out there somewhere already?
I'm a father of 5 (yes thats 5 children!) and we are an 'Apple Family'. Between us we have 4 Macbook Pros, 1 iPad, 3 iPad Minis and 3 iPhones. At the moment 2 Macbook Pros, 1 iPad, 3 iPad minis and 2 of the iPhones are using a shared iTunes account, now my son has just got a new Macbook Pro i've got to the point where it won't let me add anymore hardware to this account...
I first saw the details about this 'Family Sharing' possibility with the IOS 8 and Yosemite and thought this sounded exactly what I was after, however this only supports 5 users and I have 7!
Is there anyway I can set up a total of 11 Apple products on the same iTunes account, and if not how best would I set this up? Can I have 2 iTunes accounts with different usernames but the same credit card details? is this the best way? If I did it this way I would have to purchase things twice?
Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated..

hold the shift key down (on pc) or options key (alt on mac) when opening itunes then you can find library
I use a library under a shared folder on my pc
do that for both user accounts and it will always open that library

hi, thanks but when i connect my wife's iphone to the pc it does a three step synch at the end of which nothing has transfered to her phone.
asking it to synch on the dropdown menu top left pf itumes page or asking for synch after going into the icon for her iphone on top right does same three step synch with no result. i have no set up my itunes library on a separate pc (notebook) and put her apple id and password into the share function, and her id and passwoed onto share function on this pc. that gets my 'library' up via the share menu top left but it doesnt synch onto her phone either...

Your best bet would be to set up a separate Apple ID for her to use with iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime, but continue to use the same iTunes account for purchases (click on the second box "Use one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases" to go directly to the section which outlines how to do this). The reason you would want to continue to use the current ID for iTunes is because all of the purchases made under that ID will be forever tied to that ID - purchases cannot be transferred to another ID:

Now that we can share Itunes accounts, How can i converst my kids existing accounts to child accounts under my account?

I want to convert my kids existing itunes accounts to sub accounts under the new family feature....is that possible? I have added them to my family but they show up as adult accounts. I would like them to be child accounts.

No method for that but you can keep changing the account from the iPhone and it won't delete the apps from the second account

How to share iTunes library between accounts

Lots of various ways have been sugested but none kinda work the easy way i was looking for. So, here's what i did and it works great... so far. (sorry if this is a repeat of something somebody has already said, if so I didn't find it):
1- moved the iTunes music folder to the shared folder (probably not neccessary anymore but it will stay there...)
2- changed the pref in iTunes under advance to find this new path. (in both accounts)
3- downloaded BatChmod
4- draged both user folders over the utility icone (one at a time) and checked marked all settings to give max permissions to both accounts. also checked both autor/owner and unlock then applied. (now all I have and all my wife has under each accounts are totaly accessible by both)
5- Since my account had the latest version of the iTunes library file I alt/command draged an alias into the other acount. Deleted the existing iTunes library file.
Tested and works great... if i make a change it's noticible in both accounts and vice versa.

I apologize in advance for bothering you, but I am having problems. These are the steps I followed:
1. Moved Itunes Music Folder to shared folder and changed location of music folder in Itunes Preferences to point to the shared folder in both user accounts. My library is the only one currently on the system.
2. Downloaded and ran BatChmod on entire user (house icon) for both me (User 1) and then logged into User 2 and ran BatChmod on entire User 2 house icon. As suggested I checked every box on the BatChmod utility including auto/owner and unlock and then applied.
3. Created Alias of Itune Library file in User 1 (my) directory and copied it into User 2's ITunes Music Directory, removed Alias extension and deleted existing ITunes Library file in User 2's account.
The files are currently organized as:
- User 1 (seth) ITunes Account contains:
- ITunes Library data file
- ITunes Music Folder
- ITunes Music Library.xml
- Shared ITunes Folder contains:
- ITunes Music Folder
- User 2 ITunes Account contains:
- ITunes Library data file (former ALIAS - arrow indicates still alias)
- ITunes Music Library.xml
When I (User 1) open ITunes, everything works fine and I see my playlists and library. However, when I try to open Itunes logged in as User 2, I get the following error message: "ITunes music library file is locked, on a locked disk or you don't have permission to access it."
I already ran BatChmod so I followed your suggestion and went to Command-I and insured that all Ownership, Permissions and Details state that Owner, Group and Others all have "Read & Write" permissions. Its still not working.
Any suggestion what I am doing wrong? Did I make it overly complex? Sorry to bother but your instructions make it seem really easy.

My wife & I use the same iMac with different user accounts. How do we share one iTunes account on that computer. I tried moving the iTunes folder in music on my user account to shared user, but it seems like new iTunes folders are created in the original location when I do this. What am I doing wrong.

Then hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder in /Users/Shared/ folder.

Hey,
We have 4 different devices at home : iphone 4, Ipad 2, Ipad 1 ant IpodTouch 5.
I need to find out the possibility to share my main account (from my itunes account with my iphone) with my kids whom are using an ipod and an ipad ?

They would have to sign into their account in Settings>iTunes and App Store to make a purchase with their account.
I do not understand what you mean by:
"avoiding me to absorb them on my iphone".
On your Phone and the other devices you can go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn off Automatic Downloads. Automatic Downloads mean that if something is purchased on one device, it will automatically be download on other devices that use the same Apple ID

No. iOS is not designed at this time for multiple account logins. You would be synching over the top of each other.
