How to share my ical to my ipod

I don't know how to share my iCal from my MacBook Air with my iPod (sincronize), please help

Connect your iPad to the Mac.  With iTunes open, select (highlight) the iPad and then select the Info tab.  Configure there.  The Sync box is unchecked on mine because I use iCloud and this would give me double entries.

    Apu,
It's possible to share between two computers but not two iPods, change the settings for the pod to manual > Edit > Preferences > iPod.

  • How to share/exchange songs from two iPods?

    Hi,
I would like to know of a way(s) to share/exchange songs between two iPods.
    Thanks,

Easiest way is to connect the "other" ipod to your computer, put the music CD into the computer and import the songs to the "other" ipod.
iPods are intended to be used to receive music from iTunes so you will probably need to switch your ipod to manual udate to work with two.

  • How to share youtube bookmark with another iPod Touch

Can this be done? Email won't work, because it uses safari to access youtube.
    thanks

Select your bookmark. Tap the blue arrow at the right of your bookmark. Under the description, tap "Share". When your friend opens the email on his iPod Touch and taps the link you sent, the YouTube app will start and play the video.
If you are making a new bookmark, the "Share" button is right next to the "Bookmark" button.

  • How to share internet connection with 8gig Ipod touch

Hi all, I'm about to buy a 8gig touch tommorow and would like to know before I buy it, How can I share my HSDPA Three broadband connection with the Touch? the Connection is a usb dongle on the desktop, I've got a usb wifi dongle plugged into the desktop aswell, i havent a clue how to set it up tho, why I want to know is, so I can listern to shoutcast radio stations on the touch upstairs in bed without having to stay downstairs near the dessktop. is it possible to do and if it is how ? cheers

Your touch can connect to your wireless network via WiFi. How your network is setup makes all of the difference on whether or not you can connect, however.
If your desktop is connected via Ethernet (even with a USB adaptor) you may be able to use the desktop as an ad hoc wireless network. This is possible on Macs ad Vista machines, not sure on XP.
Your best bet is a wireless router, however. They generally have more range than an ad hoc setup and have additional benefits such as a firewall and network security. You would connect your broadband connection to your wireless router and then all of your devices, wired or wireless would connect through your router.

  • How to sync Notes, iCal & Address Book between iPod & Mac?

    Hi, there:
Could someone please be so kind to teach me how to sync Notes, iCal & Address Book between my iPod Touch (with iOS6) & Mac (with OS X10.6.8)?
What file format would it be in when Notes is synced from my iPod Touch into Mac, if possible?
How may I drag photos in my regular photos files (not using iPhoto) from my Mac into iPod Touch?

Thanks so much for your detailed reply.  Much appreciated!
Just to confirm my understanding that 100% clear on the solution, if my wife gets her own iCloud account, on her phone she'll receive her own emails & iMessages (makes sense) but not contacts.  Calendars though we could share.
Without two separate iCloud accts though -- iCloud on my phone, and her email through Gmail on her phone -- we could share all the common iCloud data (contacts, calendar, notes, reminders, etc.) by enabling the appropriate settings on her phone.
Am I correct to conclude then that the sole benefit of her adding own iCloud acct is email through iCloud (and I guess the free 5GB)?  It would not be possible to simply and easily have one common 'family' address book (i.e. since while Calendars are share-able, contact libraries are not)?

  • HERE'S HOW TO SHARE iCAL w/ MULTIPLE USERS on 1 Mac

Here's how to share iCal calendars among multiple users on a single Mac.
What you need to do is to move the iCal folder to a shared folder that is accessible to all users and then replace the iCal folder in each user's library folder with a "symbolic link' to the shared iCal folder. The symbolic link looks like an "alias", but if you try this using "aliases" to the shared iCal folder it will not work (trust me). You can create symbolic links using the Terminal, but I have no idea how, and the idea of using the Terminal scares me. The easiest way that I know of to create a symbolic link is with a shareware application called Cocktail. It allows you to do a number of different things including System Maintenance, Network Optimization, etc. It took me a while to remember how to do this; I originally found the information in the Discussions when iCal was first released, but apparently none of those original postings are listed in the forums anymore.
Here's how to do it (you must have Administrator privileges):
First locate your iCal folder (your user name > Library > Application Support > iCal) and make a copy of it (Finder > File > Duplicate). Drag the copy to your Desktop until you're sure iCal is being shared between users.
Next move the original iCal folder into a Shared folder in the Users folder (Hard Disk > Users > Shared > iCal). To make sure all users can access the information, select the Shared folder, choose File > Get Info, click the little Lock icon, then under "Ownership & Permissions -> Details" make sure that the "Owner" is "System", "Group" is "Wheel" and "Access" for Owner, Group and Others is "Read & Write". Do the same with the iCal folder within the Shared folder, but this time, under "Ownership & Permissions -> Details" make sure that the "Owner" is "your user name", "Group" is "Staff" and "Access" for Owner, Group and Others is "Read & Write" and click the "Apply to Enclosed Items" button. I basing this information on what the Ownership & Permissions are for each of the folders in my system.
Open Cocktail (I'm using version 3.6.5). Once the app is open (you must enter an administrator's user name and password) click on the "Files" button, then click on the "Links" button. Where it says "Create Symbolic Link" click on the "Choose" button. Navigate to the iCal folder (Hard Disk > Users > Shared > iCal) and click "Choose" again. In the "Save As" box that appears enter "iCal", then navigate to the Application Support folder in your Home folder (your user name > Library > Application Support) and click "Save". Quit Cocktail and open iCal. You should see all of your calendars as you did before.
Log in under each additional User, move that User's iCal folder (user name > Library > Application Support > iCal) onto the Desktop, then create another Symbolic Link to replace it, using Cocktail as described above. In each case you should see the same calendar information as when you were logged in under your user name. As a test, add a New Event or To Do in iCal under one user, log out and back in under another user and you should see the changes when you open iCal.
Once everything appears to be working, you can delete the iCal folders from each User's Desktop.
As an additional maintenance measure, use Disk Utility to repair Disk Permissions.
Unfortunately, if each User has his/her own calendars in iCal they will not be in the shared calendars. Only the calendars in the first iCal folder used to set up the shared folder will be available and I don't know of any way to merge or combine the other user's calendars into one.
Hope this helps and good luck!

If every user first exports their calendars (with unique names) and then the "First" user imports them, before all the other set up, everyone's calendar will be there.
Also, iCalShare lets you publish and subscribe on a computer or across a local network, without having to let everyone see and edit all your calendars.

That's because you're using the same Apple ID on both devices. On your phone: Settings>FaceTime>You Can Be Reached at>Remove your Apple ID.

  • How can I share my ical work calendar with my coworkers that are using google calendar?

How can I share my ical work calendar with my coworkers that are using google calendar?

You can only do this by syncing your calendar to an external server - MobileMe is designed for this but if you don't already have a MobileMe account you can't start one now.
If you do have a MobileMe account the method is described here:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/sharedcalendar.html#publicshare
If you don't, you could sync to Google Calendar (Google accounts are free) or wait for iCloud which should be out in a couple of months and will probably provide this sort of facility.
You might like to consider BusyCal which is like iCal Pro - similar to iCal but with extra facilities. It can sync calendars on a Lan and also between accounts on the same machine (you have to have fast user switching enabled).
There is a free trial available on their website: it's slightly cheaper from the Mac App Store. (I have no connection with this company).

  • How to share account with multiple devices?

3 kids with 3 devices - an iPod Touch and two iPads Mini - family shares one account with Apple/iTunes and one library on our family PC.  They use FACETIME and MESSAGES with their friends, and they all see each others messages and conversations.  How do I fix this?  Is there a setting or a way to create sub-accounts off the family account so they can still share the main library for music and video OR do I have to create separate Apple/iTunes accounts for each kid?  Is there a setting on their devices that can help?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I'm not even sure the right question to ask...

  • How to share my iTunes Music Library

My wife and I each have our own iPod and we want to share one Music Library on our desktop computer. I follwed the instructions in iTunes:" How to share music between different accounts on a single computer". This entailed moving the iTunes Music Folder to a publicly accessible location:
    c:\Shared Documents\Shared Music\iTunes Music
I can access my library, but my wife cannot. I used EDIT, Preferences, Advanced to change the location in her account to the above path, but still no luck.
    The path actually displays as:
    c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\iTunes Music
    What to do?
    Tom

We share a library by using separate playlists for each iPod.
    I'll try to explain.
If your iPod is connected to your computer And iTunes is up and running , you should see it listed along the left hand side of iTunes. If you single click on its name, you can also change its name.
    1) Create a playlist that you would like associated with that iPod. Give the Playlist a name that is useful to you - perhaps similar to the name you gave the iPod. eg. "Person 1's iPod" and "Person 1's Playlist."
Go to the EDIT Menu at the top of iTunes and select PREFERENCES
    Click on IPOD tab.
    Click on MUSIC tab
select AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE SELECTED PLAYLISTS ONLY
select the Playlist or playlists that you want on that particular iPOd (eg. ""Person 1's)
That's how We've been doing it.
If up until now , you've been doing it manually, be aware of what the difference is. (between manual and automatic update)
If you have nothing in Person 1's playlist, then the result will be nothing in Person 1's iPod.
You should be able to go back to your old way just by de -selecting those options in the same Preferences area if you don't like this system.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • How to share your itunes library with another person

how can two people have all the same stuff on their ipods/iphones? we have both bought different things but dont know how to share them

    Hey jimyam,
Thanks for the question. If you wish to access your music library from multiple devices, anywhere, It sounds like iTunes Match may be the right service for you:
    Apple - iTunes - Match
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/
With iTunes Match, all your music can be stored in iCloud — even songs you’ve imported from CDs. You can access your music from all your devices and listen to your entire library wherever you are. And you'll also be able to listen to iTunes Radio without ads.
