HOW TO SHARE YOUR FILES ON THIS FORUM

Since we cannot upload file to the forun directly, how can they be shared?
You can upload your files to dropbox, Adobe Cloud (you should have it with your cloud subscription), or any other storage area on the internet.
You want to keep your files private - send the link to an Adobe employee who asks you to share them or another user you trust
You do not mind sharing you files - share your link on the post.
I hope we can keep this post on the top so that new users know how to share their files.

thanks John

  • How to attach the .emp files and .rar files in this forum.

    Dear Sir ,
I want to attach the ".emp" file or .emp file stored in the "rar", how to attach these files in this forum because whenever I am going to attch the .emp file or .rar file , it is showing the error that " The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type".

Well, you might think that. But you would be wrong.
I'm not aware of any unix OS with an undelete function at the filesystem level.
Such things don't tend to work well in a multiuser/server environment where lots of things are writing to the disk in the background.
And trying to guess what the filesystem used to look like is a good way to court random file system corruption.

    Thank You

    Hi Octopus,
Based on the error message, it seems that the Visio Graphics Service is not started or the Enterprise feature is not enabled.
I recommend to check the things below:
Go to Central Administration > System Settings > Manage service on server > check if the Visio Graphics Service is started > then click Application Management > Manage service applications > check if the Visio Graphics Service application
    is created.
Go to the root site settings page of the site where you got this error, click Site collection features to check if the SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection Features is enabled.
Go to the site settings page of the site where you got this error, click Manage site feature to check if the SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Features is enabled.
More information about the Visio Graphics Service:

  • How do i see how many points i have in this forum system?

How do i see how many points i have in this forum?
I will give points to best answer

    hi Debbie!
Go to your public profile link, next to your status level you will see your total points.
hmmmm. one quirk. if people don't actually have a status level yet, i don't see a points tally if i look at their public profiles. (not sure how it looks to a poster without a status level if they look at their own public profile.)
if you've got a relatively small number of posts (and don't have a status level yet), it's possibly to do a manual count by checking through your My Posts (by opening each post in there and checking for any yellows or greenies.)
    love, b

  • Does Adobe Send allow you to select how many days your files can be downloaded - as with Adobe Send Now? Also, why don't I see the virus scanning message any longer with "Send" versus "Send Now"?

Does Adobe Send allow you to select how many days your files can be downloaded - as with Adobe Send Now? Also, why don't I see the virus scanning message any longer with "Send" versus "Send Now"?

We relied upon the "days available for download" to get people to take
action more quickly. The "virus scanning" progress bar was simply another
way of knowing this activity was actually taking place - unless this is
written somewhere in the Adobe Send User Guide.....wherever that is.

    Just curious...
How many members is there in this forum?
    Thanks,
    Stefan

How many members is there in this forum? Your user ID is 898414. But that probably doesn't
mean the number of members is approaching a
million... does it? Maybe it does. There are a lot of
people who get a user ID and ask us to post the code
for face recognition or something like that, then are
never heard from again.and interestingly based on the id's the first member to have registered and who did post atleast one message posted his first message on Jul 21, 2005 2:16 AM

  • How to make jar file for this compilation method ?

can any one tell me how to make jar file for this compilation
    D:\java\browser\IEInJava>javac -classpath jdic.jar;. IEInJava.java
    D:\java\browser\IEInJava>java -cp jdic.jar;. IEInJava
    *this is a compile code:-*
    D:\java\browser\IEInJava>javac -classpath jdic.jar;. IEInJava.java
*and this is a run code:-*
D:\java\browser\IEInJava>java -cp jdic.jar;. IEInJavanow how make JAR file ?

Assuming IEInJava only uses classes inside the jdic jar, this is one way. D:\java\browser\IEInJava> jar cf yourjar.jar IEInJava.classThen to run it you would use D:\java\browser\IEInJava> java -cp jdic.jar;yourjar.jar IEInJavaAnother way would use the jar manifest file to specify the Main-Class and Class-Path.

  • Uploading a file in this forum - anybody ever succeed at that?

I tried uploading a file, and it didn't say it worked, but didn't say it didn't work either (and since I made a few attempts which didn't work, and it said so, I assumed when it didn't say it didn't work, that it did work).
    Filename/upload-title: "ADL Compensations (2012).zip"
So, did it work? If so, how would I refer others to the uploaded file (and where would I find said file m'self).
    If it didn't work, then:
    * why didn't it say so.
    * why didn't it work.
    Anybody?
    Link:
    Page:
And yes I did select the file to upload, even though not shown here, and filled out the rest of the info..
When I clicked the submit button, it kinda scrolled me to the top of the page again, but there was no "you forgot to do this.." message anywhere.
(if you neglect a required field, it will say: "you need to fill out this field..")

    Hi Rob,

  • How to view an attachment (in this forum)?

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/419236 - the poster inserted a jpg attachment, but I cannot find how to view that attachment. Left-clicking, right-clicking, double-clicking... all does not do anything?
Does anybody here know how to view an attachment in this new forum?
P.S. just for fun I am also attaching a jpg file with this post.

    - this one works? I wonder why it doesn't work in the other post; it says QUEUED.

    >
You use \ on the line before and on the line after what you are quoting.Same for posting code: use on the line before and on the line after your posted code.
There is a 'Preview' tab on the reply window so you can see what your reply looks like before you submit it.
See the FAQ. There is a section there 'Are there any useful formatting options not shown on the sidebar?'

  • How to upload Apex-application in this forum

i want a help. i develop a apex-applicatin . by use apex-4.2. now i want to upload my app: in this forum. how to i do it? plz give me suggest.

    Moderator Action:
Your post has been moved from the Storage General Discussions forum space
(where it definitely didn't belong - this isn't a storage hardware question),
to the Application Express general discussion forum, for a guess at closer topic alignment.
... and to answer your question?
You don't upload your application to a discussion forum.
Perhaps you might get a clearer picture of what Apex is by reading previous forum threads in this space - perhaps read the last two years' worth of such posts.

  • How do I share a folder in creative cloud, I know how to share individual files..

    thanks

I think we are heading towards a legal action resolution to this mess - False advertising, misleading/deceptive claims. 'Coming Soon'?
Your 'Adobe Unveils Major Update to Creative Cloud' press release in May 2013 stated:
"All files and assets will be automatically synchronized between the desktop, cloud and mobile devices. A designer can take a photo on their iPad, use Photoshop® Touch to refine the photo while on the go, then access that file, via the cloud, and use Photoshop CC on their Mac or Windows PC to further enhance the image. Designers can designate shared folders and invite others to collaborate on files. Edits are stored with version history so users can share their files with confidence."
The press release indicated that these features would be available 'next month' - That was 8 months ago!

  • My start up disk is full.  How do I delete files from this?

My air is saying my start up disk is full.  How do I delete files from it?  Is there a specific location I'm supposed to delete from, or is it just general files from everywhere--email, etc.

For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
    iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as  Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
    sudo /Applications/GrandPerspective.app/Contents/MacOS/GrandPerspective
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.
