How to show a "Dummy" Selection Screen

Hi All,
I have written a Report that has no parameters. However, I still would like to show the Selection Screen so that the user can call the F1- Help for this Report.
If I do not declare any parameters, the report is executed immediately and no means are given to show the F1- Help.
Is there a way to show the Selection Screen without parameters?
I have tried to create a "Dummy" Parameter that is hidden but causes the Selection Screen being shown, but that does not seem to be possible.
Any hints for me on that one?

Try this workaround to "trick" SAP into displaying the selection-screen:
PARAMETERS: p_dummy AS CHECKBOX MODIF ID m1. "Dummy Parameter
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT /1(50) gv_cmnt.
INITIALIZATION.
gv_cmnt = 'Read the Report documentation before executing it'(001).
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
* Hide the "Dummy" field
LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF screen-group1 = 'M1'.
      screen-output = '0'.
      screen-active = '0'.
      MODIFY SCREEN.
    ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.

Goto your selection screen
Make entries in the fileds od the selection screen
press save button, it will ask you for the mane of the Variant
Give the name of the Variant and save it
Variant is now created for the selection screen.
Reward if useful.

I have custom field in my selection-screen of LDB PNP.
Can you people please let me know how can I put the selection-screen modificaiton For ex:
i have created
parameters a as checbox.
select-options: p_btrtl for p0001-btrtl no-intervals.
now If the check box is selected then p_btrtl we can enter values or esle If check box is not selected then p_btrtl will be grayed out, ( I.e. SCREEN-INPUT = 0)
This is simple from ABAP without LDB. But with LDB can we achieve?????????????

you can use the following logic for the additional selection validation. I have done by using PNP LDB. Ex : I have done for one of the field in IT0377.

We can get the Program whether this is running in background or not then we need to use SY-BATCH, if the SY-BATCH is set to X then the program is running in Background,
so in the INITIALIZATION event, you can use this SY-BATCH and check the User names, and give the error messsage which you want to restrict

Hi,
You can create the 'Parameter Transaction' so that whenever you run the particular transaction it will run with the initial value given when the Tcode was created and hence you can skip the initial screen of the module pool program.
To create Parameter transaction from SE93 you have to choose the last option i.e Parameter Transaction.

if you have a simple report " selection screen of abap program 1000 ".... I think it´s not possible....
but.
If you have a "handmade" dynpro 0100 > try to use a HTML Container ( its start a Internet Explorer .. ) and shows you the gif, jpeg..
But it´s easier to use a external/internal UI adress ( Webspace ) for the picture, as the dektop space fg

I have a requirement to refresh the value in selection screen.while i run the report in selection screen i selecting one variant for look the output if i use some other field value with same variant without save its working fine i am avle to see the data but while i come back to again selection screen and selecting some other variant that extra add value is not getting refresh its showing with new variant.Its happening for only one variant not for all if i select some other variant then its getting refresh value in same field.Any one can help me for this issue.

Hi,
That means, I believe - the value that is "not changing" is saved in the particular variant. You can easily verify it by starting the report without variant and then selecting the variant in question. Remove the value from screen and save the variant again. Don't forget to check of variant needs to be transported from development system...

How to deal with dynamic selection screen elements when macros are used?

This is regarding the dynamic selection screen elements. Actually the requirement is to modify the existing standard report program RFUMSV00 by copying it into a Z report, adding a few selection screen elements and new fields in the output. I actually did everything required except for the one thing that is going out of my reach.
There are a certain fields which are coming when they are not supposed to get displayed. I don't understand the code because of its obsoleteness. Neither can I debug it because it is just data declaration.
This is the code where there is a fault. If I copy the entire code into a new Z report, I'm getting new fields like Entry Date, Document Type, Reference Transaction, Reference key, Logical system.

In the program attributes ( SE38 > RFUMSV00 > GOTO > Properties ), you will find a logical database BRF declared. The include DBBRFSEL is part of the selection screen of this logical database.
The selection screen is actually the selection screen of this logical database.
Under the Logical Database field, there is a Selection screen field where you can input which selection screen of the logical database to be used.
But, this is just to change the selection screen that is displayed. To completely suppress it you need to remove logical database declaration from the properties of the program and call it inside your program through function module.
You cannot just remove it from the declaration because many of its variables are used in the program.
So call it using function module as the first step in INITIALIZATION section of the program.
