How to show individual track information (like in the old iTunes) of a single artist (or that artist's album) without all the noise of every single other artist close in the alphabet?
The new iTunes has truly added extra visual noise.
I am trying to view a single Artist and the individual track information of that artist. This used to be how itunes was, you could click on a single artist and then the tracks would all have their various categories.
I can still see this but only in the "songs" category and in that I have to see every single song or artist alphabetically.
How do I simply see the artist, and that artist's tracks, as well as the different info about that track I want to see, such as "name, track #, time, year, genre, bit rate, kind, etc."
Please don't counsel me on what information I need to see, or suggest that I stop caring about this, or ask me why I want to see this various info.
It was simple and accessible in the older version and I would probably stop complaining to all of my friends about the latest version of itunes if I can see this old format.
Or... is there a way to re-download the old version? It's okay that you've made mistakes, every company makes mistakes, if I can revert to the old version that would be great.

Select the Songs tab, then under iTunes Menu select View then click Show Column Browser. You will see the familiar GENRES ARTISTS ALBUMS header, click on one artist and you will have only the artist's albums and songs showing in the window below with all the specific info you selected under View options. If this is not what you wanted, simply reply with a nice "no thanks".
Search this forum for instructions to reinstall iTunes 10.7, there are quite a few posts explaining the process.

I think your JTable is editable and thats why it fails to work.
The above code will work onlyfor non editable table.
I think the default setting for editable table is like that.
Let some one else gives you the answer for editable one.

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing? As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.
Thanks.At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there). -
How do I "locate" my CD in itunes? Can I get the old itunes menu back?
I burned a CD using itunes. But it automatically used Windows Media to play back and changed the sequece to alphatical order.
I changed the setting to have itunes as the "preferred" player but still won't work. The CD doesn't even show up on the itunes menu. Can't find it under file or the "music" button. Tried clicking each and every button. Still cannot find it!
Also, I used to just click and drag songs from a CD to my playlists. With the new menu, it won't show both the CD song list and my playlists at the same time so I can't click and drag anymore. I have been importing all the songs and then search for them one by one and copy each to the playlists. VERY annoying. Any suggestion as to how to do this? In the old Mobile me storage I had shared storage for my family and all of our devices. How do I breakup the 55GB across my apple accounts now that iCloud is by device by user? Anyone else have this issue. I am also in need of correcting the storage from my work where I do not have Safari or I can not down load iCould to my desk top.
That storage moves to master account. Since there are no accounts like that in Icloud, people in your family will enjoy complimentary 5 gigs from Apple and they will let you know if they need anymore. You will not be able to manage storage from windows desktop

How do I get to the old iTunes screen that used to pop up when I plug my IP into my MBA? I used to get a screen that showed whatever device I had hooked up.
This morning I got a message that there is an IP update, but that I have paid data on my IP that is not on my computer, do I want to install the update.
And the answer is no, not until I get whatever it is transferred to my computer. There used to be a pulldown menu asking "do you want to transfer programs from your device to iTunes?" Not there anymore or at least that I can find.
I suspect this problem has something to do with the cloud and automatic syncing between devices..Kind of solved my own problem by updating the IP wirelessly (6.1.4). Then in plugging the IP into my MBA, I was able to get to the pull down menu that allows transfer of programs and apps to my MBA.
While I can see the advantage of being able to update the IP wirelessly, I much prefered the old iTunes interface that among other things, made it easy to "eject" the IP from being wired up to my MBA. -

I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where I sync everything. Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -
Since the new iTunes update 11.3, right after that I couldn't connect my iPod nano 7th G to iTunes. It kept showing me that it couldn't find my ipod, that I had to reinstall iTunes. I did that and still. And now I can't connect my iPhone 5 to iTunes to sync my music. Can anyone please help me ?
