In our case, some special Chinese characters are supplemented by another font called "Ming ISO 10646" provided by HK government. This font does not cover the common Chinese characters. That means when we show the common Chinese characters, we need to use the fonts "MingLiu" provided by Microsoft. But if we need to show the additional special Chinese characters, we need to use the "Ming ISO10646" font.
In BI Publisher, we create a font set which includes these two fonts. However, when we run the report, it only uses the MingLiu font, but cannot use the Ming ISO10646 font. Pls advise.

The sister application to Keynote is Pages which can show non printing characters so you should use that;

You should have no problem keeping your text in Korean when you convert to .epub from .pages. Are you saying that the Korean is converted to something else? Please provide more details about what is not working the way you want.
Pages can't embed fonts, you would have to use another app. But there is no need to embed fonts to create Korean books.

the labelClass can be set to 'spark.components.Label'(defalut) or 'mx.controls.Label',
it seems that we can set labelClass to mx.controls.Label to get the same effect of font of label in ColumnChart when flex sdks->4.5.1

Hi all, I'm tryng to resolve a problem with the Greek characters
I need to display labels in two languages, english or greek inside my report.
At the beginning of the report I have a placeholder with the xml code : *<?param@begin:p_language?>*, so I can understand inside my report if the user chose the Greek or English, and then I have many placeholders (labels) which have to be written in Greek or English.
If the language chosen is English, I don't have any problem to show my labels bold or italic in every fonts
Inside the placeholder I wrote the following code:

I can chose font, style and bold/not bold directly from Word and when I run the report in pdf I see exactly what I chose.
If the language chosen is Greek....I see always the label in Arial, NOT BOLD and NOT ITALIC...
In order to see Greek characters BOLD:
a) I added (under the ADMIN tab/Runtime Configuration/Font Mappings/ ) a font named Arial and I addeda target Font named Arialbd.ttf under the directory: D:\Oracle\Oracle_Homes\BIP_101341\jdk\jre\lib\fonts
b) I changed the font (from word) to Arial
Now, ONLY with tha ARIAL font I can see my labels in greek bold, but I can't still see them in italic style.....
So, I tried to force these condition inside the placeholder with the following code:

Anybody had the same problem with another alphabet different from the latin one ???

How to view font characters?

I have forgotten what I knew once. How do I view individual characters in a font?
Character Viewer does not show all the characters in my fonts.   Specifically I am looking for the ligature for "ffl" in Times.
For comparison, years ago I found a particular character for a similar ligature: ChrW(64258).   That was long enough ago that I do not now remember how I found that character.
How do I find my way back to wherever I found ChrW(64258)?   TIA

Well, now the problem has come back.   One of my MS Word macros got corrupted somehow, and I need to reconstruct it.   If I understand the process correctly, I need a character number in the form "ChrW(64xxx)."
I open Character Viewer and view my fonts in "Glyph." I selected the individual character that I want, but Character Viewer does not identify that character with a number in that form. Instead it gives me a Unicode number and some other numbers that I do not recognize.
I tried to insert the Unicode number into my macro.   Word, though, does not accept that code in the macro.
Is there a way now of getting a "ChrW" number out of Character Viewer?

How to show Special Characters like (∠) in an Embedded text field

I want to show some special characters like (∠). It is working fine if we don't embed the text field. But I want to use superscript and subscript font, so I have to embed that dynamic text field. When I embedd the texfield it does not show me the (∠) symbol. Instead it shows me a square symbol. Please let me know how can I solve this problem. My project is nearly finish except for this part.

Yes, I know we need to include the symbols. But I am unable to include it. Whenever I click on embed option and paste the symbol (∠) in the include these characters box, it appears as a square symbol. This is driving me nuts.
I even tried to embed All (54665 glyphs). But this is not working either.

I was think these troubleshooting steps will be the best for the issue you describe.
First I would perform a safeboot with this article named Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564.
To perform a Safe Boot, press and hold the Shift key immediately after your Mac starts up. Continue holding down the Shift key until a gray Apple logo appears on the screen.
And perhaps this article to troubleshoot duplicate fonts, which can cause all kinds of wonky activity.

I would precribe you to use the FORMAT options available with the WRITE Statement.
Because this allows us to differentitate between the HEADIngs and the LINEs in the report.
