HOW TO SHOW PLUGS ONLY WHEN TRACK IS SELECTED??

Hello, I has an m audio axiom pro, and it had a cool feature where when you selected a track in logic the plugs you were using for that track would pop up on the screen, when you went to the next track only that tracks plugs would show....
Is there a way/key command to set this up?

Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.

1)I have a Req where in I need to Display a Column only when 2012 is selected,It shouldn't appear when i select 2010 & 2011 in the Prompt.

Make it two reports, one with the column and the other report without the column. Place both the reports in two different dashboard sections and use conditional show/hide section as explained here,

I used a query like this to show the data in a report:
select col1, col2 // col1 and col2 are columns of tabale tab1
from tab1
where
tab1.col1 =

The problem is when I run the report with paramters values or not, It shows the data which is not null for both col1 and col3.
That is when the value of col1 or col3 is null the report would not return that record!
I want the report to show all data not only values which is not null!
How to do this?

That where clause will fail when col1 in the table is null and the parameter has the dummy value. Consider the following:
variable p_col1 varchar2

     union all
     select 'X' from dual

where nvl(tab1.col1,'yourdummyvalue') = nvl(nvl(:p_col1,tab1.col1),'yourdummyvalue')In this case, the query returns the row with null and the row with 'yourdummyvalue', where only the row with 'yourdummyvalue' should be returned.
You must do something like this:
where ( :p_col1 is null or ( :p_col1 = tab1.col1 ) )That one is the simplest and does not need a dummy value. Here are some other more complicated examples:
where nvl( :p_col1, 'yourdummyvalue' ) = decode( :p_col1, null, 'yourdummyvalue', tab1.col1 )or this:
where nvl( :p_col1, 'yourdummyvalue' ) = nvl2( :p_col1, tab1.col1, 'yourdummyvalue' )In the last 2 cases, it will not matter if the dummy value exists in the data, but they are unnecessarily complex.

Charting Query: How to show detailed chart when clicked

Hi , I have a flash chart that shows monthly summary values . When user clicks on a bar ( say for month of JAN), I want to show another chart based on data for JAN only. I am trying to figure out how to show my detail chart when user clicks on a summary bar.
Can someone advise how can I pass value from parent chart to child chart?

Hi Aali,
Create 2 pages, one for summary the other for detailed (assuming P1 & P2). The query for your first chart needs to link to the second including a month value. It might look something like this:
select 'f?p=&APP_ID.:2:'||:app_session||'::::P2_MONTH:'||MONTH||':' link, MONTH label, SUM(SALES) value1
from TBL_DETAILS
group by MONTH
-- :2: is the page you're linking to (detailed chart)
-- P2_MONTH should be a hidden item on that page to store the month value
-- MONTH is the value to be passed...this could be some substr(date_col, 4,6) or somethingCreate your Hidden P2_MONTH item making sure it is NOT Hidden and Protected. Page 2 query something like:
select null link, DAY label, SUM(SALES) value1, SUM(COSTS) value2, COUNT(STAFF) value3
from TBL_DETAILS
where MONTH = :P2_MONTH

My problem:
I have a field in a block, that is text_item and is tied to a LOV item. I want the LOV to show up automatically, each time I tab into it, only when the item is BLANK (say when I am trying to insert into the block). When on query, it should only display the queried value into the field, and user can choose to activate the LOV, by pressing F9, if she wants to. It now displays automatically each time text item is in focus (works fine when user is inserting, but annoying when she has queried the form, and trying to tab thru. Each time she focuses on the field, LOV is popping up!)
The current property setting on the text field item: Type: Text Item
List of Values : MY_LOV_NAME
Validate from List : Yes
Properties on MY_LOV_NAME
Automatic Display: Yes
Any suggestions? Or Item level trigger i can use, and if so, when build_in can I use?
New to forms and will greatly appreciate advice from pros!!

I'm using java regular expression pattern matching. I want to receive a successful pattern-match ONLY when a string is NOT comprised entirely of numeric digits [0-9].
So, for example, when pattern-matching on the following 3 strings,
"abcdef" would return match = true and
"abc123" would return match = true and
"123456" would return match = falseI have tried using the regex pattern [^0-9] but this only seems to work for strings that are one character long. The pattern [^0-9]+ didn't work either.
What I need is the equivalent pattern to [^\d+] (which is an invalid pattern).
Please note that I have to solve this one using regular expressions, even though it would be trivial to solve using straight java code!

You can use JavaScript to call the action in interest upon the Radio Button Element Being Selected.Should be simple, and if your controller is part of the portlet dont forget to use the jpfScopeId to asscoiate the controller instance with the one in the portlet.

just got itunes 11 and i have my library in album view, when i click on an album a list of songs drops down and underneath each track the artists on the track are displayed; but not for every album. i cant seem to find why but sometimes the artists just arn't shown, how do i make it show?

Only in the Album view. Artist view will display them separately unless you have Group by Album Artist turned On. I tend to set the Album Artist (not the individual track artist) as "Various" or XYZ Soundtrack or something similar making grouping them a bit easier.

How to show all regions when opening piano roll?

hey,
I want to be able to see all events in all regions when opening (not toggling!) a piano roll. I just switched from version 5 (yes, 5) to 9. It used to be like this: you deselect all regions and then just open the matrix editor (that's how the piano roll was called in ancient times).
If I do this in 9, the piano roll shows nothing. If I select all regions and open the PR, it shows only one. If I select one region, open the PR and then go back to the arrange window and select all regions it does show all info in the PR but this is a bit of a not-very-efficient work around.
Anyone any idea?

double click a region, then highlight the ARRANGE window and type command + a. It is essential to choose all regions this way not as you mentioned by choosing all by hand. Remember that when you doubleclick a region Logic highlights the PIANOROLL. So you have to highlight the arrange window by clicking on the bar just below the main tools or in other words, just above the ruler (I don't know the exaqct word for it but I hope you know what I mean.

How retrieve custom fields only when using SPListItemCollection?

Hi with following code I am retrieving a DataTable from a List:

DataTable dt = oList.Items.GetDataTable();
This works fine. My problem is that I only want to get custom ListFields. When working with Fields one can simply call
FromBaseType which will show if a Field is custom or not. The only value which seems right is
IsCustomType. Though it is listed under Not public members, which makes it unaccessable via code for me, right?
Well a dirty approach would be to iterate through ListFields, match them with DataColumns and check whether they are custom or not.
Is there any clean, efficient solution for this? Is this possible using CamlQueries? If yes, how would that query look like?

To retrieve the custom fields, CAML query is incapable, do a iteration with SPField.FromBaseType or the SPField.SourceId property seems the only way at this moment.
