How to show start time in week mode on ical?

I'm looking for a way to show the start time of an event in week mode in iCal. I know you can just click on the event but I want to be able to print and glance at it instantly.
Any help would be great! Thks!

Hi,
There is a preference in iCal's Preferences to show event times. This does not transfer over to printing the calendar.

I am looking for the same thing. I actually would appreciate being able to see start and end times in every view. When I'm trying to see how many hours I'm working in a week, the easiest way is to see that, okay, Monday is 9-5, Tuesday is 9-4, Wednesday is 8:30-4:30, and so on. Those numbers are easy to calculate and add.
Plus, in month view, I can't tell what kind of gaps there will be in my days, and my down time is extremely important to me!

the markers durations need to be configured, there is an easy way to do this using your existing markers. click the start time of marker 2, this should change to edit mode to type in a new number, just copy the numbers cmd/ctrl+c. then click the end time of marker 1 and paste, cmd/ctrl+v. now repeat for the rest of the markers, and on the last one enter a value for the end time or click and drag on the duration to manually extend it. once all the markers have a duration, the button should be active to export.

My back and forward buttons don't work in Firefox and I've lost all of my bookmarks! I've tried a few of the suggestions but without success at the moment.
Particularly unhelpful are the instructions to back-up your lost bookmarks - which I can't do cos they're lost!!

How to show a time field in a form portlet

I am not familiar with PL/SQL and I was wondering how I could show a time field on a form portlet.
I have a date column in my database that stores the time and date together, but I do not know how to separate them into date and time fields. I also do not know how to concatenate them when a user inserts a new record, or how to query on a date alone.
At present, the user has to type the date and time following this format mask hh:mi am DD/Mon/RR
I also have a problem with one of my hidden id fields. I have set the default to a sequence.nextval (#qtc_app.seq_visitor.nextval) and then hidden it since
it is irrelevant to my users. However, I can no longer use the query function since the sequence is always generating a new value. How would I only generate
a new sequence no. when a user inserts a record??

Hi,
Each colunm in the form has a format mask associated with it. For the date column make the format mask like this DD-MON-RR HH.MI. This will show the date along with the hours and minutes.

How to show busy times from events in one caldendar in another calendar

I have the following scenario: I am managing two calendars in iCal, one with private events and one with work-related events. The private events are entered manually, the work events are synched with an MS Exchange server. How can I show the times of private events as busy in the work calendar? I want to avoid scheduling conflicts without showing the details of my private events to work contacts.

Its possible.
Follow the procedure:
Create a HTML page in KM, which will hold 2 links. Give names to these links and href as follows.
Link1: http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/iview1
Link2: http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/iview2
Create KM Document iView (ABC) and provide path to document of this page.
Now create another page in PCD (XYZ), and 2 iviews.
Assign these 2 iViews on this page, but make them invisible on page.
In iView properties change the property Quick Link as follows (as given above):
for iView1: iview1
for iView2: iview2
Now open your role, create folder inside, and add KM Document iView (ABC). Open the properties of this iView in role and change the property, Initial state as Open, now it will open the KM document iView (ABC) in detail nav, and for opening page (XYZ) you must assign page to role, but make Invisible in Navigation areas to YES

How to show THE TIME on my Calendar

is there a way to get my monthly view on Calendar app to show the TIME?
i am printing these out and viewing them on the computer and it is a bit aggravating to have to click on the actual item to find out what time the entry is.
isn't there a way to show this so it is seen /on/ the calendar entry?

In Calendar/iCal open the Preferences window and under General put a tick in "show event times".

I would like to show system time in my JApplet the time should update when the system time is changed. i.e 10:10 is system time and the JApplet should show 10:10 , when the time changes in the system, the time in the JApplet should also be changed without refreshing.

Trouble Printing Start Times in Weekly View

I'm unable to print the start times for some appointment. I noticed that they all have a duration of 1 hour or less so I suppose that it could be because of the lack of space. Does anyone know if there's any way change the font size or another work around?

Very similar to your YTD question...
Again, this is normally solved in designer, hence the coding John gave you.
However in stead of doing it in a condition, like he described, i would rather do it in a sum(case...end) variant. So create multiple measure objects. That way you can select in one query ytd, full year last year, last period, last 4 weeks, etc. Using a condition would force you to create multiple queries.
so oracle syntax and using sysdate i.s.o. a prompted date as a bonus;
weeks start on monday this way...
sum(case when tab.datecolumn between sysdate-to_number(to_char(sysdate,'d'))+1 /* this monday */
and sysdate-to_number(to_char(sysdate,'d'))+1-28 /* monday four weeks b4 that */
then tab.amount end

How to show dock in full screen mode

I'm wondering how to get the dock to show up temporarily in full screen mode. When I place my cursor near the bottom of the screen in a full screen app, the dock doesn't pop up. Is this normal and if so, how do I switch between full screen apps without using gestures on the mouse? I'm really hoping that this is a bug.

Alternatively you can use the same principle anywhere on the screen, you do not have to scroll to the bottom. Simply move the cursor to the screen edge where your dock is then move the cursor the same direction again. You do have to briefly pause between the two movements but you can do this anywhere the dock is located, it does not have to be at one position on the screen. That should speed things up a bit and prevents the dock from appearing by inadvertently scrolling to the side or the bottom.
If you can, get a Magic Trackpad, Lion navigation works very well with one of these, I think that the days of the mouse are numbered. The numbers of gestures available with the Magic Trackpad is extensive in Lion.

Set it to record at any time and that should eliminate your problem.
I use the following setting for series recordings and they always record, starting at the proper time.
Episodes: first run only
Start: on time
End: 1 minute after
Air time: any time
Duplicates: no
Channel: selected channel
Some shows may need different start and end time adjustments. But those work for the series I record.
Keep, Save, and Delete settings at your preference.
