How to show the picture only true the triangles?
ALright, i have this photo and got a bunch of triangles on top of this photo.
I only want to show this picture true these triangles and cut the parts of the photo that is not under these triangles.
How should i do this?

1. Select the triangles. (Make sure they are closed paths.)
2. Object>CompoundPath>Make.
3. Select the Compound Path and the photo. Object>ClippingMask>Make.

Can the picture be on the hard cover of the book
Just trying to find out with a hardcover book if the picture for the cover (ie the dustjacket) is also printed on the actual hardcover as well, or is the picture only on the dustjacket?

My podcasts do not show the pictures only the sound when I import them to iTunes from Garage Band. How do I get the pictures to show up in iTunes?
Well, all I can tell you is that if your file is an m4a with chapter markers, those markers having suitably sized images attached, and you drag it into the Music area of iTunes (so that it appears as a song) in List view, when you play it and then command-click on the small image in the header (next to the progress bar) you should see your embedded images.
If this isn't happening the best place to ask would be in the GarageBand forum: my own experience of GB is rather out of date and in any case I've never used it for podcasting. -
In the libary of iPhoto I do have double pictures only in the year 2006. Can someone please tell me how to remove the double pictures. I did rebuilt the libary but that solution did not help me any further.
I think the warning is very clear.
What warning? Where do you say that this plan you suggest will lose at least some, and possibly a whole lot of metadata, plus the original files of edited photos. This is significant dataloss. And you should warn people that this is the case.
While your metadata and originals may not be important to you, that is not necessarily the case for other users.

This is nonsense. The iPhoto Library has no need of "cleaning" and certainly not in any way that trashes a whole lot of data.
I'm very impressed that you assess the application based on the sound of the name. It's not a common way to review applications, but I'm sure it has some merit.
FWIW it has been recommended on this - and other - sites for many years and has proven safe and effective.

HI, I recently upgraded my operating system IOS 5.0.1 on an iphone 3gs. My question is, how do I get the text messaging preview to just pop up so that I can see the name only when the lock screen is on? The conventional ways of doing this, such as using turning off the SMS preview under the "passcode lock", well that option no longer exists, or if it does, I'm somehow missing it.
When I go to the "messages" setting under settings on my phone, I still don't see an option of turning it off.
If I can just get the name of the person sending the message, as I had it before, I'd be happy.

I have Adobe Reader XI. All my files have a picture on the first page. I used to be able to see that picture but now I can only see the PDF logo. How can I change that so I can see the pictures instead of the logo?

I can't edit my donwloads. The organizer photos have an orange icon at the top left corner and the find offline volumem - edit pops up when I try to edit the pictures. Also, the downloaded pictures don't show up in "My Pictures" document. How can I fix this problem

I am not quite sure if I understand what you are trying to do.
Sounds like you are trying to implement the zoom feature (increasing/decreasing the size of the picture inside a picture control, but not the size of the picture control itself). If this is what you are trying to do, then there is a property node in LabVIEW 7.0 that supports this feature (This property did not exist in LabVIEW 6.1). Please download the LabVIEW 7.0 evaluation version and run the attached VI.

When I share a pages document as a PDF (via e-mail) all the pictures change from the original document, most are missing with just a few of them repeated in the spots where others had been. How do I do this without the document changing?
I need to be able to send it to a PC in order to print it.Hard to say what is happening without examining the file.
If you like click on my blue name and email me both the .pages file and the the .pdf you have made from it.

I created an album in iPhoto and every time I click on slideshow it plays the pictures backwards from the order in the album. How do I change that?
When running a slideshow from an album it will not run properly if the photos are sorted manually. Sort them by any of the other options, title, date, rating, etc. and it will play correctly.
Send a report of the problem to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
If you must sort them manually create the slideshow in the slideshow mode in iPhoto, not from an album.

When I'm previewing my iDVD, the pictures are all of the edited ones - which is what I want - but after I burn the DVD, all the pictures are in the unedited form!! What the heck?!! How do I fix this problem? I've never experienced this before!!

I was playing around with the screen size and not can't get the picture to fit the screen. How to adjust the screen size? I tried everythign in the disoplays setings and can't get it right?
Open Preview and open Customize Toolbar. Install 'Zoom to Fit'.

Can you please tell me how the PDF that you're converting was created? Sometimes, PDF files created by third-party PDF generators (that is non-Adobe applications), don't contain all the tags and file information necessary to ensure a proper conversion to Excel. There are no settings that you can change in ExportPDF to adjust how the file is imported.
You can tell how the PDF was created by choosing File > Properties in Reader and looking for the PDF Producer on the Description tab. If the PDF was created by a third-party, it just may not be written to spec. Please see Support Policy for PDF Files created by non Adobe applications.
