How to show whole slide thumbnail not cropped version

A Keynote presentation is a custom 3:1 format how do i get the navigator to show whole slide thumbnail not a cropped version

This is a bug/lack of functionality within Keynote 6. As of 6.5, there is no way to show the entire slide in the navigator view section if it's wider than 16x9.
And for those curious, this was not an issue in Keynote 5.

How To Downgrade iMovie HD to NOT HD version, 6-5 or 4 without CD software?

I won my Power PC G4 on a computer giveaway in my college. They didn't provide any software. I upgrated to Mac OS X (I bought the software) I have the 10.4.9 version installed.
I had iMovie (don't know exactly which version) on my Mac, but I never had an original software CD.
I bought I Life '06 to be able to get the new updated versions of everything, including iMovie.
Unfortunatelly my computer does not support HD, so I was wondering if there is any way I could possibly DOWNGRADE from the iMovie HD to the previous NOT HD version, I don't know if it was iMovie 6, iMovie 5, or iMovie 6... But without having the original CD software.

As Niel pointed out a few weeks ago, iMovie 3.0.3 - which was free - is still available for download from Apple here.
However, it's not as stable, or as useful, as later versions, and you do need to be careful with it: DO NOT EMPTY THE IMOVIE TRASH when you use this version, until you've completely finished your project and have backed it up, or burned it to a disc or sent it back to tape. Emptying the Trash can sometimes corrupt projects when you're using iMovie 3.0.3.
It should be able to co-exist with other versions of iMovie in your Applications folder, and it has its own 'Preference' file, so it shouldn't cause problems if you have both iM 3.0.3 and iMovie HD on the same Mac. But you may not be able to open, in iM 3.0.3, a project created with a later version.
I don't know, but there may be a QuickTime conflict, too, and you just might have to downgrade to an earlier version of QuickTime if you have problems with iM 3.0.3.

How to show whole year in iCal

iCal is configured to shoe day, week and month but can one get iCal to show a whole year, like a wall calendar. If not then perhaps there is some add on software that will do this?

Aside from the fact that it takes third party software (no longer available) to do this, I don't really see what the need would be. Time, date and month change often enough that the would be necessary to keep up with but the year? Every 365 days?
Besides, you can click the time in the menu bar and it will show you the year.

Here is my procedure that shows thumbnails :

end;It works, but if I call this function repeatedly (from our apex application), the image quality becomes less and less good, it seems it processes always the same image.
And for example if I call show_photo_thumbnail(1126, 150, 150) and then show_photo_thumbnail(1126, 500, 500), it seems the 500 x 500 image is processed from the 150 x 150 thumbnail so the quality is very poor.
I read the entire documentation and I really don't understand why.
By calling this other procedure we can see that the content stored stay unchanged :

It should work exactly the same for ORDimage and BLOBs, as ORDImage stores and updates the image content in a BLOB attribute.
The difference you are seeing might be because of which object you are reading. In the first example, obj2 was selected for update, but obj1 was not. So the local variable obj1 had the old data which was printed out, and this was different from the data in obj2, which had the changes that were updated in the table.
If you don't want to persist the updated image, then you can select for update, make changes as you are currently, but then rollback at the very end (after you download the content). Then the original image will be retained in the table and changes you made in this transaction will be discarded. The next time you run the procedure you will be operating on the original image.
I also notice you have a commit in the very first code snippet but not later. Depending on your logging settings that might be having an impact as well.

DURIM - Okay. I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]? We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro? If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested. Opening a ppt presentation in Keynote - cannot see whole slide!

I'm having difficulty viewing a PowerPoint presentation in KeyNote.
The whole slide does not show, just the first bit i.e. the last few bullet points are not visible-the only way to see them is to reduce the font on the entire slide. Can anybody help?

Please check your Firefox Installation's version. (can be found by clicking the main menu, either clicking or hovering over the help button, and then clicking about firefox in the sub menu). depending on how long ago you set up sync you may still be using the older sync version. firefox 29 introduced a new (and might i add far less tedious) sync version. see [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync|this Mozilla support article]] for information on upgrading your sync to the new version.

In the slide show timeline, how do I select a photo to crop?

In the slide show timeline, how do I select a photo to crop? Sometimes it lets me do it and sometimes I can't select the photo to do it. I'm not sure why the difference.

It's version 3.4.2, the latest. I can double click it, but then I'm out of the slideshow timeline and it's a hassle to quickly go back. I have to click on another place in my library and then go back to the slideshow and find my place in the timeline where I was. Many clicks. I just want to edit (enlarge and move the photo) in the timeline. Sometimes it works, but sometimes I can't get it to. Not sure if there's a "sweet" spot to click on for the photo in the timeline or what that I'm missing at times.

I'd try Dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com/), which you and your recipient both have to have. It's easy, and the free version would probably be enough. There are any number of other services available for emailing large files (google that). Of course, your recipient must have KN installed to be able to view it correctly, or can view it in PP, but with some loss, primarily transitions/animations.

By default the photos will be sorted by the date modified.

Edit (touch) them in the order you want them to be shown.

New to iwork 08...how do I center the whole slide in navigator view (large pane)? The top and left edges do not show. Probably a simple answer but cannot find out how.

See benvu's comment above. I found this thread looking for a solution to the exact same problem. Say you want to animate an object such that it appears from off-slide and ends up in a pre-defined place. You do it by using an 'action build' on the object, of type 'move'. But because the slide itself is always jammed into the upper left-hand corner of the canvas, it's extremely awkward placing the initial position off-slide to the left or top. You can do it by first placing it and animating it fully on the canvas, then move it off the canvas - but you can never grab it back afterward to reposition it.
For those of us who love Keynote because it allows us to create cinematic presentations that are more artful communication than bog-standard bullet points spinning in from space (+à la+ PowerPoint), this sort of technique is invaluable and oft-needed.
I, too, have posted a 'feature' request (or rather, a 'bug report').
