How to show Word properties in PDF doc

I'd like to be able to see the Title from a Word document also show as a Title of a converted PDF file in a separate column when using the detail view of explorer in Vista. I changed conversion settings to include document properties, but why won't they show up in the converted PDF file?

Currently, Windows Explorer does not support what you want (for PDF).
The available alternative - You can display the PDF file Properties with Win Explorer and then click the PDF tab.
If there is a value for the metadata "Title" it will be diplayed.

Open the PDF file, tap on the screen to bring up the top bar, tap on the third button from right to bring up the annotations toolbar. Now select the tool you want and start annotating! Hightlight tool is second from left.

How to set Custom Properties in PDF

Hi,
We are using BIP embedded in EBS R12.
For post-processing of PDF files, we need to embed information in PDF files which can be read by a script.
There is Customer Properties section in every PDF file (File > Properties > Custom (tab)) where information may be stored in Name-Value pair where in Name will be a predefined information while value should coming from XML data file.
I could not find any help/guide which demonstrates how to insert custome properties in PDF file generated from RTF template in EBS. Is this capability available in BIP?
Please share your thoughts on this.

How to show more than one PDF-Documents

One more question to the gurus. Can anyone tell me how i can show more that one pdf-form without having to use the container-window in the sdk-example. i would like to open and show a number of pdf-documents and react e.g. when a form closes.

i still do not understand... let me try to explain the application a little bit. i am developing an add-in for outlook. the user can open a main-form with a lot of information on it and e.g. a button edit pdf-document. after clicking the button a pdf-document is shown and the user can view and edit it. the user must be ablke to switch back to the main-form without closing the pdf-document and open an other one to compare the two...

In the PDF Edit API's ( as has already been suggested) there is the PDEImage and using this you should be able to find out everything you need to know about any image in a PDF file.
I would recommend starting with PDEImageGetAttrs

We use WD4A and ADS.

We have done this successfully a few times using WDA - it wasn't easy - it took us 2 full weeks to figure it out, so i need to get full points for this one!
It's going to much easier to do this if you start a brand new WDA. If not, you'll have to re-do all your Context Node navigations within your methods.
The first thing you need to do is to define your Context properly:
You need a top level Node defined as 1:1 cardinality (as with all PDF development)
Next, you need another Container Node 1:n cardinality (this holds the collection of content nodes)
Finally, you have your PDF Content Node 1:n cardinality - This holds each instance of your PDF form
In our scenario, we are passed in a list of Project Numbers. We need to generate a PDF sheet for each project in the same PDF session.
pseudo code - i'm leaving out some of the unnessary details
Loop through the project number table.
ADD 1 TO v_cnt.
* navigate from <TOP> to <PDF_CONTAINER> via lead selection
    lo_nd_pdf_container = lo_nd_top->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_pdf_container ).
* This is the Important Part - we check to see if there is an element where index = v_cnt

I'm having a little trouble when I had to convert a Word document to PDF because the results are not in accordance with the display on the monitor screen. How to count words in a PDF file?

Is there any way I can count words in a PDF file without resorting to Acrobat Reader (which apparently has that feature)?
That's a massive program, which I actually don't like.
I need to count words in the PDF file because I write my papers with LaTeX, and they're full of my extensive comments.
Do you know of any alternative?

How to hide linked slides in PDF docs in Keynote?

Well... I want to make a CV (Curriculum Vitae) that should be for the German rules with max two pages. And I would like to make a keynote with two pages and 20 hided linked pages and sent it in PDF. Because... if the person that is reading the document wants more information of any job i did, he could press the button ...More, that would bring more information about it. It will be great for the person that receives this kind of CV because he would see (receive) just two pages, as he expect, but actually the document has another 20 pages or more linked on it, and these pages would be hided to don't confuse the examinator giving more details just if necessary (Avoiding visual polution) So... Can I do it? with Keynote? A PDF doc with one or two pages and 20 or more hided linked sllides? Thank you guys.

To create an interactive PDF from a Keynote presentation:
Presentation pane of the Setup inspector > Presentation Type pop-up menu > Hyperlinks only
draw an object using the shapes tool to create a hyperlink button
select the object > right click > Add Link
Link to Slide > Click Go To Slide > select the required slide number
create as many buttons as required to link to the other slides
File > Export > PDF

How to show custom header in pdf generated from report

I have created a report that is used to display Leave record of employees in an organization. After which it creates a pdf file and send it to respective HOD.
In this case I am trimming generated output and sendinf only required fields to the pdf.
When pdf is getting generated it shows program name as Title of that report.
I want to change this header to my own header along with some variable but not sure how I can do so.
I have also tried TOP-OF_PAGE but problem in this case is that I am still getting program name along with it.
To generate pdf I have used function :

I tried dubbing it but couldn't get any variable which is holding program name.

To make it more clear to my question.
I am using sun one webserver 6.0 sp6.
I need to enable custom header on the webserver so that any request having a custom http header coming to webserver should be captured by the webserver.

File explorer (windows 8) doesn't show the properties of pdf files such a keywords or tittle. Neither when click on second button. I just see them when the file is opened with adobe reader (file prperties)

Im sorry because the os is in spanish, so i translate for you the fileds names shown
etiquetas means tags or keywords or labels, as you can see in the first picture at the second row, some file (office pack) show the tags but the selected one doesn't (pdf).
propiedades means properties. The properties shown are different if I opened from file explorer to acrobat.
I think there is a compatibility problem with the xmp file (metadata) from pdf file ans windows 8.1 (64bits). I tried to solve it by installing a missing file called ifilter, but the problem continues

I believe this is all normal.
