How to shuffle photos when creating a slideshow?

When I click the slideshow button on an album I have the option to shuffle photos, but do not have the same option when I create a slideshow. I want to save the slideshow; can I save a slideshow played after using the slideshow button? Or how can I shuffle photos in my album instead of having them listed by date?

Thxs.
I too just tried to shuffle all the photos in a new slidehsow and the "Shuffle Slide Oer" is grayed out and does NOT allow me to select this very, very important option!!!
What's up w/That???

  • Can I use more than one transition when creating a slideshow in IDVD

I want to use more than one transition in IDVD when creating a slideshow, is this possible?

Not so. Under Windows select Photos.
That will show the Media Browser in the lower right hand corner of iMovie.
Use the File ➙ New Project to create a new project.  Select the photos from iPhoto you want to create a movie from and drag into the new project area.
From there add your transitions, music, etc.

  • When creating a slideshow, for which I use JPG files created in powerpoint, I try to export this to a disk and the result is that the file that I am exporting is extremely large (1.2GB).  I am only using 9 (97kb) small jpeg files. How do I rectify this

    Hi Folks,
I have created 9 jpeg files out of MS Powerpoint which I exported into a slideshow.
When exporting this slideshow, it wants to ceate a file of 1,2GB whilst the jpeg files are all around 97kb in size.
What could the problem be and how do I sort this out?
    Kindest regards

When exporting the slidehow out of iPhoto what size are you selecting for import, what size ration is selected in the slideshow's Settings pane, how many slides, what pixel dimensions are they have and what theme are you using?

  • How to shuffle photos (random order) in slide show?

The Help of my iPhoto says I can somewhere set an option to make the slide order of photos in a slideshow be random (shuffle). I don't see this in any of the menus! The help says
"Click Settings at the top of the Slideshow window to set one or more of the following options:"
my Settings are at the bottom, not at the top, and I see all the other choices (music, transition effects, etc.) but nothing about play order. Am I missing something?
    Mike

This is one problem with on the fly slideshows and Ken Burns as you have no control on the zoom and the pan. If you want to have control you have to use the slideshow icon to create the slideshow and edit the Ken Burns effect on all or only those that are giving you the problem, Of course, you now can't do the random shuffle of slides.

  • PSE12 Crashes When Creating A Slideshow

I've just upgraded to PSE12 and it works fine in most instances. Howver when I try to create a slideshow from a selection of photos it simply stops working and then crashes. Is this a common occurrence?

Are you using high resolution images? If so try re-sizing first and then add the images to the slideshow. If your photo aspect ratio is 3:2 dimensions of 1125 x 750 at 72ppi will usually work well. You can batch process a set of duplicates into a new folder from expert mode:
    File >> Process Multiple Files

    Hi,

But in iProcurement, how can I choose 'Source'?
    Thanks

    hi leo,
In the item master form Plz check purchased and purchasable check box in purchasing tab and internal ordered and internal orders enabled in order management tab. make sure the item is assigned to particular (requesting) organization for which shipment is delivering to.
once you select the item and click to select source, you can select the source both internal or external in the next step as following......

  • I used i-photo to create a slideshow for a 50th anniversary and was trying to download it to a dvd for viewing on a dvd player but can't seem to get the format right so that the player will recognize it.

i created a slideshow in i-photo and was having trouble creating a dvd that could be shown via a dvd player.have already done a dvd of just the pictures that worked fine, would appreciate any input on this problem

As Quicktime Kirk says: buy the retail iLife 11 disk at various online resellers (the Apple Store no longer carries it); also available at ebay.
Other than that, there is Roxio Toast - an excellent application, but costs $$. I use both Toast and iDVD. I've not used or tried any free apps; I am sure there are some - make sure it is compatible with Macs.

  • How to transfer photo albums created on the iPad to Aperture or iPhoto?

    Hi!
I have created a photo album on iOs 5 with selected pictures of the Photostream features, now I'd like to sync back this album to Aperture 3.2.2 or iPhoto on the Mac, so I can share them with Facebook or MobileMe.
Is there a way to do that?
    Thanks

Thanks Fred, but the only photos that appear in Apertureare the ons of the iPad photo roll, not the Photo Albums created from the Photostream.
Hence, once pictures are in an album which was created directly on the iPad, I do not see any option to sync it back to Aperture or iPhoto. As the pictures are from Photostream, I do not see options in the photo album to save them back to the photo roll.
I created the album on the go, because, I was travelling without my computer and thought it would be great to make on the iPad the picture selections of the photos that I had put on my computer but did not have time to classify. I did the selection of photos, put them all in an album. There is no way to share back these 300 pics to Facebook or Mobileme or Flickr directly from the iPad, so I want to bring them back to my MAcbookPro to do it, but i can't find a way to transfer the album to the computer, and now, I have to do the selection again... Seems like Time wasted...

  • How to get text when creating invoice

    Hi Experts,
As standard system behavior, when creating invoice the item description is retrieved from material description in master data.  Now we want to use sales text in material master for invoice item description, can we do this?
    Thank you in advance.
    Richard

    hi richard
    yes this is possible.
you will have to pass this parameters under function module called READ_TEXT for desired output.
    NAME = MVKE-MATNR & MVKE-VKORG & MVKE-VTWEG - to read for which sales orgn/distribution channel/division you have to pass the value.
LANGUAGE = 'EN' - in which language you have to pass the same.
    ID = 0001
    OBJECT = MVKE - table
    if both are there
material description and material sales text then
you have to write a condition there.

  • How can I DISPLAY MORE THAN ONE ROW OF PHOTOS WHEN CREATING A BOOK?

Can I display more than A SINGLE ROW of ohotos on the right side of the page when I am creating a photo book? I have 500 pics and this single bar is ridiculous.

Command (right) - click on a photo in the Photo tray and select Small Photo from the contextual menu:
This will give you two columns of photos.
To reduce the number of photos to select from one can select only Unplaced Photos to be displayed in the tray.

  • How does iPhoto sort when creating a photo book

My problem. When I create a photo book in iPhoto, it sorts in random. I have by date selected, and I need the pictures to flow based on the date.
    Where am I missing it?

You can not - they are soreted by date
--  the only solution I have seen is to put them in an album sorted the way you and and then use the batch cnage command to redate them with a small invrement between so a data sort matches your desired sort  --  I personally do not want to redate a bunch of my photos nor do i want  to have to go through and un-re- date a bunch
suggest a change to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback

  • How to preseve resolution when creating an iDVD

I have movie that i made in photo-to-movie. It is DV format 1280x720. Looks great when viewed via QT player. I created a widescreen iDVD project and set the prefs to high quality. When I play the DVD on the TV it look a bit fuzzy.
Can I imporve this. My TV accepts 720p, my DVD player outputs 720p, and my original movie is 720. It seems that by passing it thru iDVD it looses the clarity.
This seems to be a frequent question, I just haven't found anything that say that iDVD can only produce low res 480 DVDs. Is this true?
I'm using iDVD 6. 50 gb free on the startup drive. OS X 10.4.10
    Thanks
    Mitch

Let's face facts: the standard definition (SD) DVDs we can produce today ARE LOW RESOLUTION DEVICES.
NTSC disc are less than 640x480 pixels (in still digital image square pixel terms) - that about 0.3 megapixels.
If you produce widescreen DVDs today, on compression your content is squeezed in to the SD size and then expanded on playback.
Sorry, but that's the way things are.
If you want to show a slideshow to a group, the best way is play it on your computer and use a video projector.
Not too many years ago we were all thinking how great it was we could finally produce our own SD DVDs. Now we want more. One of these years - when the true HD DVD system finally end up with one winning approach - and the equipment prices come down, we'll be able to make some form of HD DVD.

  • How to delete photos when iphoto9 doesn't respond to move to trash command?

The command "move to trash" works on some photos and events and not others.Currently have about 27,000 images in about 600 events.    MacBook Pro runs Snow Leopard ver 10.6.8 and iphoto 9.   I hit option & command keys when opening up iphoto and checked off rebuild library.  This did not solve the problem.   Thought it was not enough RAM and lack of hard disk space.  Recently doubled RAM to 4 GB and increased HD from 200 GB to 750 GB.   Still have the problem.  Tried to rebuild library again after the upgrades but to no avail.  Tried to delete event through the finder by opening up package contents in pictures and accessing data and noindex data and then deleing the images in the particular event.   The images were deleted but the event (now without pictures) remains in iphoto;  the event cannot be deleted.    Folks at Apple Store are perplexed.   Apple consultant ran out of ideas.   They thought that it might be a defective spot on HD but when the HD was replaced, the problem remained.    Has anyone experienced this problem?    How can this be solved?   Thanks,
    Explorer1

    You've trashed your Library.
    1. Before you changed the Hard Disk, how much free space did you have on your Mac? Running iPhoto on an overcrowded disk can cause database corruption - which would account for the symptoms you are seeing.
    2.
Tried to delete event through the finder
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things,, deleting them or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
And even at that: you did it worng
and accessing data and noindex data and then deleing the images in the particular event.
That's trashing the thumbnails, not the photos. So the pics are there, as is the entry in the database but you've removed any way for iPhoto to show or mange them.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • How to optimise photos when offline?

My iPhoto library is bloated with "optimised" images. It consumes GIGABYTES of space when taking into consideration that I use an iPad, and iPhone4 and an iPhone3Gs. But I have no option, I must keep these waste of space files or continually regenerate them! But occasionally I do find the need to delete them (usually when iTunes has a brain **** about not being able to import so many photos -- and I really wish they could create a better error screen: "iPhoto could not import IMG_0345.JPG and other photos..." please tell me which photos or at least HOW MANY???)
My question is related to the timing of these optimisations. iTunes wants to do this when we're syncing. This is crazy! Do you know how long it takes to re-optomise 6000+ photos? Certainly this could be done in some downtime after all iTunes already knows which photos to do. Then in some idle time it should take care of this and allow syncing to be much faster. I'm hoping someone can "educate" me on how to force iTunes/iPhoto to pre-optimise images so that I don't have to waste crazy amounts of time to achieve this.
    Ideas?

    Hello cskozma,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to have the SD pictures on the iPhone and not need the internet to access them using iCloud photo library. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ - Apple Support
iCloud Photo Library stores the original, high-resolution photos and videos in iCloud and can keep lightweight, device-optimized versions on each of your devices.
You need an Internet connection to access an original photo or video that’s stored only in iCloud.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,
