How to shutdown Oracle9iAS Reports Services?

In DOS prompt,
rwserver server=paper_test
A pop-up window appears showing:
Oracle9iAS Reports Services
Version: 9.0.2.0.3
Name: paper_test
Status: Report Server is ready
Jobs in Queue: 0
Active Engines: 2
Another report server engine called "mywin2000" is automatically started when OC4J Instance is started.
How can I shutdown the other server engine "mywin2000"?

hello,
you have to set the IN_PROCESS parameter in the rwservlet.properties to NO to prevent the in-process server from beeing started.

  • Set report_path Oracle9iAS Report Services  on Linux

    Hi,
    I have a problem.
I'm trying to set Oracle9iAS Report Services on Linux.
I would create an report_path and so I add in <server_name>.conf the following line :
    <property name="sourceDir" value="ORACLE_HOME/myReports/rdf"/>
In this mode when I run the report through the URL I must write only
    http://.....?report=<report_name>.rdf+........ .
    Unfortunately this doesn't happend.
    I show this errors :
REP-110: Unable to open file 'xxxxxxx.rdf'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'xxxxxxx.rdf'.
But If I run the report this mode
    http://.....?report=ORACLE_HOME/myReports/rdf/<report_name>.rdf+........ .
    the report works fine.
Can you help me, please ??
    Kind Regards
    Giordano

    Hi
    <property name="sourceDir" value="ORACLE_HOME/myReports/rdf"/>
Hope you have not missed out like '$' prefixing to ORACLE_HOME. If you are doubtful you can even give a try with full physical location rather than using environment variables.
Also have you shutdown and restarted the Server in order for the above configuration change to take effect.
    Thanks,
    Vinod

  • How to install Oracle Report Services in Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1

My project is running on Oracle Application Server(OAS) 10.1.3.1, and I need to develop some Oracle Reports for my client.
But I find out there is not "Oracle Report Services" component in OAS 10.1.3.1 like OAS 10.1.2.
Is there Oracle Report Services for OAS 10.1.3.1? How to get it?

    Max Yuan wrote:
You mean I need to install 2 OAS(10.1.2 for report, 10.1.3 for my project), or deploy my project to 11g? For the Reports reporting project, you'll need a version/edition that includes AS Reports Services.
In "10gr2" that means AS 10.1.2.0.2 (plus Patch set): AS Infrastructure + AS BI&Forms installation (enterprise edition) or the standalone Forms and Reports installation (EE or separate licensing). You also need the Developer Suit (Reports Builder). OFM "11gr1" suite has some version of Reports Services but I don't know the available packages and installation types.

    Hi All,
Followed below given instructions and could able to change the instance name as requested by client.
    http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2525/steps-to-change-the-server-name-for-a-sql-server-machine/
Here we also have "SQL Server reporting services" hence opened configuration tools>Reporting Services Configuration Manager>Given new DB Server name and connected>Database: "Change Database" and given new SQL Server Name. Till here
    every thing is fine.
Had a doubt on the below comment:
"If you also changed the Report Server computer name, you will have to edit the RSReportServer.config file and update the URLRoot setting.
Do to this, open the RSWebApplication.config file and modify theReportServerUrl setting
to reflect the new server name."
Not sure whether DBA's have installed Reporting services with install and configure. However if they do so how to confirm on this.
RSReportServer.config: I Could able to copy
and open this file from my local machine, able to see URL Root but not any hostname mentioned there.
RSWebApplication.config:  Where can I find this configuration file.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345235(v=sql.105).aspx
In the above URL it is said that "In the same file, if it is set, modify the ReportServerUrl setting
to reflect the new server name. Note that this setting is not used in every installation. If it is empty, do nothing."
    Please advise. Thank You
    Sorry
    for not being concise.

  • How to make a reporting services report always print one sided

We have a need to be able to print a specific report always one-sided, even when the printer property is defaulted to duplex.
Is there a way on a report to do this?

    Hi WAConnie,
According to your description, you want to set the one-sided printing in Reporting Services. Right?
In Reporting Services, we don't have any feature/properties to set the printer one-sided. Please refer to the screenshots of print properties:
In this scenario, you can only set this property on printer side.

  • Oracle 9i Report service

Does anyone have any knowledge of 9i Report Service? Our intention is to provide web based reporting to our users with ability to control their access and remove their dependency of having connected to the network. We want our users to have global access to our data through the report mechanism and be able to connect to the net and view it from any where any time. I have heard, Oracle 9iAS along with 9i Report Service can perform this task.
Is there anyone who have done similar setup and has used 9iAS. I will be very appreciative, if anyone can share there setbacks and/or transition process. you can send me email directly if possible.

  • Reporting Services 2012 in SharePoint 2010 - SQL database edition?

We currently have a SharePoint 2010 farm, running on a SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard database.  On one of the SharePoint 2010 servers, we have an instance of Reporting Services 2008 Enterprise running in SharePoint integrated mode.  (We require Enterprise
    for data-driven subscriptions)
We'd like to upgrade to Reporting Services 2012 for Data Alerts and a few other new features.  However, I noticed something on
this blog stating that the SharePoint 2010 database server edition needs to match the Reporting Services edition. My concern is that I've not seen any official mention of this in Microsoft's documentation, and would like to avoid upgrading to Enterprise
for the SharePoint 2010 database if I can avoid it.
So, what I'd like to run is:
    SharePoint 2010
SharePoint database: SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard
    Reporting Services 2012 Enterprise
Reporting Services database: same as SharePoint database, so SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard
Is this possible?  Or do I need to upgrade the SharePoint database to SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise?
Alternatively, could I install a separate database engine just for Reporting Services to host its databases (for example, SQL Server 2012 Enterprise), so I don't have to mess around with upgrading the SP database?

While you don't need to upgrade your SQL 2008 R2 to 2012, you will need to install an instance of SQL 2012 & SSRS 2012. They can be side-by-side and independent of each other. The following blog post provides steps to do so,

  • Sql server reporting services

    dear sir/mam,
in our sql server we are unable to receive sql reports daily, please tell me how to fix sql reporting services schedules.

    Hi aswini,
If the version of the SQL Server is 2008 Standard edition, then we can create Timed Subscription. If you are saying that you haven’t receive the report email that you subscribe, then the issue can be caused by the following reasons:
You haven’t configure Report Server for E-Mail Delivery correctly. For more details about this, please see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159155(v=sql.100).aspx
Your email address is not added in the To: field. And please make sure the email address is valid.
The Subscription Schedule which is used to run and delivered a subscribed report is not configured correctly. For example, maybe someone had change it to send the report every Monday.
In order to solve the problem more efficiently, could you please tell us more details about this issue? If you have received an error message, could you please check RS Logs in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles
for more detail error message. So that we can make further analysis and help you out.

  • Implementing SQL Server Reporting Services with a Java EE Application

    Hi All,
I need to find some tutorial on
"Implementing SQL Server Reporting Services with a Java EE Application"
    for my j2EE application.
Until now i have searched a lot of sites but have not any thing related to this topic.
I am using apache axis along with SQL Server Report Manager for creating the sql server reports.
    I have done upto :
Creating the webservice with the help of report manager.
Now i want to connect it through my j2EE application and want to retrieve some data from that web service.
I have got stuck on the following BOLD lines in my code .
    code:
    public CatalogItem[] getData(String res, String searchStr) throws RemoteException     {
                  ReportingService2005Soap port = null;
                  ReportingService2005Locator loc = new ReportingService2005Locator();

The above example is mentioned in msdn virtual lab that teaches how to connect to reporting services from a j2ee application.
I have done the same thing .. but i am not able to render the report programmatically .. if anybody knows pls let me know the solution.

  • Reporting Services Point - installation location help

I have my SCCM 2012 environment role(s) split up. Granted other roles exist in each location but in a nut shell it's like this:
Server1 - SCCM primary site with MP
Server2 - SCCM DP, software update point, etc
Server3 - Pure DB server hosting multiple other systems DB's and the SCCM DB
I do not want to install the "Reporting Services Point" on the DB server, rather have it installed on Server1, aka the primary MP site server.
Do I need to do or have anything special installed on Server1 to use it as the Reporting Services Point? I am having a hard time finding the requirements needed for just the Reporting Services Point role.

    try these links
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/gg712698.aspx
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/15475.how-to-successfully-install-reporting-services-point-role-in-sccm-2012-sp1.aspx
I prefer having the SQL server (DB) and SSRS on the primary site server, but that is a matter of preference / simplicity.

  • ISSUE Sharepoint 2013 databases for reporting services on the second server SQL 2012

    Hello,
I have server A: Operating system windows 2012 standard, SQL server 2012 standard
instance: Sharepoint contains data for sharepint
instance: Reporting should be contain databases for reporting
    Server B:
Windows server 2012 standard contains installation Sharepoint 2013
Sharepoint works (without reporting services), it is OK - databases are located on server A:
    My issue is:
When I have installed reporting services on server B, I have already installed SQL server 2012 on server B, it works.
I am able to create report in report builder adn place it in to sharepoint.
But I would like to use only one full SQL machine on server A:
When I reconfigure repoting settings on server A in central administration - manage service aplications,
On the SQL server A in instance reporting , there is automatically created databases. It is no problem.
But the first difference is, when I want to manage service aplication for reporting  in
Provision Subscriptions and Alerts, there is information
SQL Server Agent state cannot be determined
When I want to create report in report builder, I have issue:
server A-7380mw016\reporting it means server A with full SQL server:
The Test of connection was successful
Then I have clicked test connection
I have recieved this screen with fail: Logon faild for user NT Authority\anonymous logon
My account belongs to SQL admin on server A (A-7380mw016\reporting) I do not know it is not possible to create report, when it is possible to test connection in the first step and in the second step, there is problem...
    Please, can somebody help me?

    Hi,
Since you are getting an Anonymous Logon error, it appears there may be a problem passing your credentials to the SQL Server Agent Service. This would indicate a Kerberos issue. See this thread for details:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/46b7c773-6a77-435d-b471-cb9a6ec41c43/has-anyone-else-upgraded-reporting-services-to-denali-2012

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/video/Video/hh858469
    Tips from the video:
We are connecting to Reporting services using Kerberos when using Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode
For the account using reporting services, we just need a dummy SPN. We go to Attribute editor tab in AD for RS account. And then we will be enabled with Delegation tab.
In Delegation tab. I we are using claims to windows token, we need to use "Trust this user for delegation to specified services only"
There you have 2 options: "Use Kerberos only": It means I only want to delegate in the situation where the service that is doing the delegation actually has the Kerberos ticket to start with
"Use any authentication protocol" When we need protocol transition (like from NTLM to claims for intra farm communication)
We need to delegate this to SQL server.

  • Trying to make Reporting Services Configuration Manager work. Or, SQL Server Reporting Services.

Under Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2008, I have the following:
    SQL Server Management Studio
    Configuration Tools
    Integration Services
    Import and Export Data
Under Configuration Tools, I have the following:
    SQL Server Installation Center
    SQL Server Configuration Manager
SQL Server Error and Usage Reporting
    Reporting Services Configuration Manager
I tried to enable Reporting Services through 'Reporting Services Configuration Manager' but I don't seem to have much control from this view.  I see two boxes, one named Server Name (and it shows my server name) and the other is named Report Servicer Instance (and this is grayed out).  If I click on the Find box next to Server Name, I get this message:
Report Server WMI Provider Error: Invalid Namespace
    Details
    Invalid Namespace
To get the Server Name I right-clicked SQL Server > Properties > General
Any ideas on how to make Reporting Services Configuration Manager work?  Or, can you please give me more details on how to access "System control" => "Services"?  I'm not seeing it anywhere and I'm not seeing any way to find "Sql Server Reporting Services".  Basically, I'm trying to activate my SQL Server Reporting Services.
I am using SQL Server 2008 Express Management Studio.  Is SQL Server Reporting Services included in Express Management Studio?  I read, online, that it is, but I can't find it anywhere.
    Thanks again!

Thanks Jerry Nee!!  This may be exactly what I’m looking for!  I went to this link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B5D1B8C3-FDA5-4508-B0D0-1311D670E336&displaylang=en#filelist
At the top of the page it says, ‘Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Express with Advanced Services’, which seems like this is what I’m looking for, so I downloaded the file named ‘SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe’
Then, I cut that from my desktop and pasted it in my C-drive and I get a message that says, ‘this folder already contains a file named ‘SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe’, would you like to replace the existing file?’
I’m thinking…what the heck?  Do I already have this thing?  If so, why can’t I see SQL Server Reporting Services?  Maybe I have it now, and I just don’t know how to access the reporting Services features…
    Couple quick questions:
What’s the difference b/w these two files:
    ‘SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe’ and ‘SQLEXPRADV_x86_ENU.exe’?
Also, my current version of SSMS, Help > About shows this:
    Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
    10.0.1600.22 ((SQL_PreRelease).080709-1414 )
    Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)
      2000.085.1132.00 (xpsp.080413-0852)
    Microsoft MSXML
    2.6 3.0 5.0 6.0

    Microsoft .NET Framework
    2.0.50727.3603
    Operating System
    5.1.2600
Should Server Reporting Services be included in this version?  I think so!!!
Under Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server 2008 > Configuration Tools > Reporting Services Configuration Manager, I see this:
Connect to a report server instance:
    Server Name:
    Report Server Instance:
    My server name is ‘'EXCEL-4J2W8KYNP', which I got from Control Panel > System Properties > Computer Name > Full Computer Name;
However, when I put that server name in the box, and hit ‘Find’ I get this message: ‘Report Server WMI Provider error’ Invalid namespace
    Details: Invalid Namespace.
I have no idea what this means…
    Thanks for everything!
