How to Silence the Shutter Snap/Click Sound

I finally figured it out: set your iPhone to Quiet mode via the side-mounted switch and the iPhone camera goes into Stealth mode as well.

My iPhone has never had a setting for the camera in Sounds, only ringtone, new voicemail, new text message, new mail, sent mail, Calendar alerts, lcok sounds and keyboard clicks. I know: I scoured every menu I could think of to find a way to quiet the shutter!

Hi,
If you want the result to be the average of your sub-totals (?) then I think the only way you can do is is by using a union query to give the 'illusion' of a grand-total.
Using this mechanism you can create a grand-total using whatever logic you wish, you then just combine the result and with cunning use of headings / formatting make it look exactly like a standard functionality total.

How to silence the startup sound?

My MacPro emits the startup chord, loundly, from the internal speaker. All other sounds come from the external speakers. When I get home late it's like to wake the dead if I turn on my Mac.
This did not work this way before, the startup sound played through the external speakers and I could turn them down.
Any ideas how to kill the startup sound or make it play through the external speakers?

Well, you know that's a funny thing, because I didn't actually intend to mute the startup chime. I just wanted it routed to the external speakers where I could control the volume properly, like the first poster. But the chime doesn't sound out of my external speakers. I don't hear it at all.
And I don't care. If my Mac fails some test, it isn't going to work right, I'll find out about it anyway. I also don't care because in 20 years of owning Macs, if there was a problem with my Mac I can't remember any of them being due to a failed self test, it was usually a hard disk failure or something on the motherboard while I still got the normal startup chime. The power on self test does not, for example, tell PowerBook G4 owners about the widespread problem that their lower RAM slot has failed. I just haven't found the chime to be useful, while many users find it to be extremely annoying. Apple could just flash the front panel LED differently.
The only time I've ever heard the failed self test tones is when I've played them back from some web page or utility that tells you what they mean.

How do I globally uncheck the property "mouse click sounds" under the captions section

I am doing software simulation and it produces a large number of slides. I want to remove the mouse click sounds. Is there another way to do that other than
select each and every slide and uncheck the "Mouse Click Sound" checkbox?
Adobe you need to provide that option in preferences!

So I tried it...here are the screen shot. I do have the updated Captivate 7....So you can see they are selected and I used the timeline to bring up the mouse clicks box.
I then unchecked the the 'Mouse Click Box'
I clicked on the slide...and this may be where it goes wrong. I did try to exit by hitting Enter, but that didn't work. I had to click somewhere on the project.
Here you can see that slide 2 has the "Mouse Click Sound" box still checked.

What version of Premiere Elements are you working with and on what computer operating system is it running?
For now I will assume Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
In the Expert workspace, go to and click on Instant Movie Tab at bottom of workspace in order to bring up the "Choose a movie theme dialog".
After you select the Instant Movie Theme, click next.
At this point, you should see the Presonalize Movie Dialog.
Customize the various settings, including Music.
An alternative way might be to let the Instant Movie go to completion with the Theme's music. Then right click the finished Instant Movie on the Timeline and select Break Apart InstantMovie. Then edit the Instant Movie, including deleting what you do not want and inserting you own music.
The Premiere Elements version number and the computer operating system on which it is running should help us to customize the response further.

Hi VenkatI don't believe there is a way to do this out of the box. I believe you would have to do a custom code solution so that when you click on the header the report is re-run with a different sort order. This may not be that easy to implement.I'm going to check with the new WebElements custom functions that were released on this site. They may provide for this functionality. Not that I know of, but you can turn it off completely by going to System Preferences...>Sound>Sound Effects>Alert volume: (Uncheck) Play feedback when volume is changed.

I can not stand the Nokia jingle when I turn on my phone, you know when the two hands come together that little jingle in the background. I tried everything to silence the jingle, the only solution I have currently found is to shut the phone off in the "Silent" profile. Is there something I am missing in the settings please provide so direction.

It would of course be ideal if Nokia provided a user option on the E6 to specifically switch the start up tone on or off without effecting other device sounds... like they do on a wide variety of their other telephones. hint hint

How come all the games has no sound on IPad 2

I recently bought the IPad 2, download some games, but all the games have no sound. The other application like YouTube, Safari sound is fine. Does anyone know why?

Just to clarify, the switch is not necessarily 'on the top right'. It depends how you hold your iPad. Mine is on the bottom edge on the right as I always hold mine in landscape orientation with the home button on the left.
Also, it's note a mute switch. With the switch on, you will still hear sound from movies, music, etc. The switch only mutes system sounds and notifications, and most app and game sounds.

How to prevent the user to click on the All+ book selector

We are trying to implement a simple book structure. I have created the hierarchy, assigned users to each level and assigned the opt records to each book level.
When 'listing' all items for a user, I can see whatever opts are assigned to that (his) book.
Now, if the user clicks on the +All in the book selector, he would be able to see all the records...
Pls. is there a way to prevent the user from clicking in this selector ?

Txs. for the hint... Well I think it is OK to use the 'profile' access once the user clicks in the All+.
Now, I have Accounts and Opportunities with the same access in the profile. User has a default book MMM for Application. I understand this book would be the default for all objects... correct ?
When in Opportunities, it is working fine.. Default to MMM and if lookup selector is used with Alll+ he can see records with the profile access.
Trouble is that with Accounts, Default to MMM and see nothing (which would be OK)... clicking in the All+ still see nothing... and this I cannot understand.
Pls. anywhere I should look ?

direct because it is having huge data and it performance issue .i have to get the value on the basis of view only and using some logic
