How To Simply Add A Video???

Hello!
I'm desperate....I couldn't find in any tutorial or forum how to import a video to iTunes?
I am not talking about a Movie or TVShow bought on the iTunes store. I'm talking about any kind of video, any format, that I have on my HDD, .mkv, .avi or .wmv, to ADD to the library (I don't know where because there is no video library really), and then see it in my library and transfer it to my iPhone.
The thing is, I already did that once. I used the "Convert to iPhone format" something like that and it worked. But now I can't remember what I did lol....
Could someone explain precisely how to do that please?

An iPod can play the following video formats:
H.264
File formats: .m4v, .mp4, and .mov
Video: Up to 768 kbits/sec, 320 x 240, 30 frames per second (fps), Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3.
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 kbits/sec, 48 Khz, and stereo audio.
MPEG-4
File formats: .m4v, .mp4, and .mov
Video: Up to 2.5 Mbits/sec, 480 x 480, 30 fps, Simple Profile.
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 kbits/sec, 48 Khz, stereo audio.
I believe that Handbrake has presets for converting to iPod-compatible formats, so you should be able to just select the preset.

You can import some very short video clips into Photoshop and make gifs. I can import short (10 second or so) .mvi video clips I've taken with my point and shoot camera.
Use File ->Import->Video Frames to Layers
CS3 doesn't recognize .mvi files until you enter *.* in the box, hit load, then find the file you want.
After the file has been loaded, go to Windows, and check Animation.
After the Animation bar loads, go to the right side arrow, check Make Frames from Layers.
Then Save for Web and Devices, and you've got your gif.
I find it much easier to use the separate software.

after choosing the manually manage your songs you will not be able to add videos by clicking "update". all you going to do.. after converting videos compatible to ipod video, click your ipod on the left portion of the i tunes it will immediately show your songs from your ipod then drag the selected video from its folder to your i tunes just like adding songs to your ipod

The movies need to be in the *.mp4, *.m4v, or *.mov format. If it isn't, you'll need the assistance of some sort of third party software to convert it to one of these formats. Two excellent choices for doing such a task are MPEG Streamclip and Handbrake.

Hi. I've only had my iPod Touch for two months now and I have songs, games, and pictures on it. The only thing missing are the videos.
i download them and they're on my documents. i don't know what video type they are. i download them from mediafire.com.
anyways, i got at least half of the videos that i want on my document, but i don't know how to add them to iTunes.
I'll click the file, and nothing happens. I've tried dragging, but the won't let me drag it. i don't know how to work iTunes videos.

I don't know if you have a mac or windows, but for mac there is great tool available I use all the time: VideoDrive. It puts any video in iTunes: simply drag the videos on the application and it will download artwork, metadata and then put it in the right iTunes category (movies or TV Shows). You can choose to convert videos or keep them in their original format (mkv, avi and so on). Obviously converting is much slower. But what im trying to do is after i edited my video and the song i have ends i want to add another clip after the song but without the song playing. if you ADD audio/music/voice over to a project, there are TWO options.
#1:
you drag it into the (grey) background of your Project - and it becomes a background track with its own 'behaviour': it will try to background the WHOLE Project as much as possible. as long there's audio left, any added video/still will lengthen the audio.

drag audio ONTO a clip .... it gets connected PLUS it offers the usual options any clip offers; copy/pasting, cutting, fading, effects. here, I added a fade and the last video-clip is audio-less.

This would save me having to run them through iMovie at 4X say and saving them that way. As far as I can see, the video fast forward, fast reverse, go to end, go to beginning controls only appear in the Widget inspector. What is their purpose then?

Since you have a ati graphics chip inside an ati card may be better.
Your psu is 250W so you will need to change it too.
A recommended video card depends on your requirements and your budget.

In an iPhoto slideshow, I want to add a video clip. If I select cut then I need to click paste but that option does not come up.

First just drag the clip and drop it onto the slideshow title in the left hand pane. The you can postiion it where you want in the slideshow itself.
