How to sleep screen?????
So I find "Activate on wrist raise" to "activate" when I don't want it to, and there doesn't seem to be any way to "calibrate" it or increase/decrease its sensitivity. With that said I have it turned off, but when it is off the screen stays on for 15 seconds until is shuts off itself, a wast of limited battery when you just want to check the time. Finally, there seems to be no way to adjust how long the display stays on either.
Tldr: Am I missing something or is their no way to "sleep" the display when wrist detection is turned off? I find this oversight to be, well a pretty obvious oversight, if it is one. Thank you.
I was at the Apple Store today looking at the Sport Watch. I actually wanted the display to stay on while I was using the stopwatch function but it automatically went off after 25 seconds even with the wrist activation turned off and with me holding my arm up. This is somewhat of a deal breaker for me. The Apple employee said there was no way to make it stay on longer. But to address your question, I think there is a setting that makes it go to sleep quicker but it could be only with the wrist activation setting. For my problem, perhaps a third-party app would eventually work.

N8 - Nokia Sleeping Screen / Situations
I am interested in trying out Nokia Sleeping Screens available from the Beta Lab.
However, I already use Nokia Situations and I am very impressed with it, especially it's ability to switch profiles at certain times (eg, switching to my Night Time profile from 11pm until 8.00am)
How would Sleeping Screens work with Situations, or are they 2 completely different applications?
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!@krisq
I don't really know!
I think that I was under the impression that Sleeping Screen was more than just a screen saver and I was thinking that some of the features were similar to Situations.
Thanks for making me look again at it!
I have now installed Sleeping Screen.

How to prevent screen from dimming/sleeping/etc when playing video?
When playing a video, how do you keep your monitor from dimming or sleeping, or turning the screen saver on in the middle of your video?
In Linux, using mplayer on X11, whenever a video would play, it would "disable DPMS" and the screen would stay on until the video was finished playing, just as if someone was in the middle of typing.
Is there a setting for this with the MacBook? I suppose it would have to be something global, meaning for QuickTime player, embedded WMV browser players, etc.
MacBook Mac OS X (10.4.6)I only want to make changes for sleep and screen saver activation times for when I'm playing videos. I mean, if I'm watching an hour long video, I want to watch it without the screen changing 10 minutes into it.
However, I don't want to set my screen saver at 1 hour globally, as when I walk away from my text editor, it should sleep after 10 minutes or so.
Isn't there a way to set something so that the sleep/screen saver settings are disabled just when a video is being played? -

How to handle screen resolution in bdc session method.
hi all,

How to do screen resolution in session method
hi guru how to do screen resolution in session method.
please tell me.
regards
subhasisSometime back this is refered in SDN :
Check table CTU_PARAMS and field DEFSIZE for setting fixed line of table control.
CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' USING it_bdcdata
OPTIONS FROM OPT
MESSAGES INTO it_mesg.
opt of type ctu_params.
WA_CTU_PARAMS-DISMODE = 'N'. "no screen mode
WA_CTU_PARAMS-UPDMODE = 'S'. "synchronus update
WA_CTU_PARAMS-NOBINPT = 'X'.
WA_CTU_PARAMS-NOBIEND = 'X'.
WA_CTU_PARAMS-DEFSIZE = 'X'. "Default size
Default size will play good role in terms of resoultion. in one system in table control you can see 10rows, but in others system it will show 20 records. it depends on resoultion. but when you set the default size then it will take same (default screen size) in all the systems when you run BDC.
Thanks!! -

how to get screen content onto external VGA screen? Do have thunderbolt-VGA adapter but only get screensaver across
VGA and DVI do not carry sound. Only HDMI.
Use a minidisplay-to-HDMI adapter. Then when the TV is connected to the system use "System Prefences > Sound > Output" to select the TV for sound.
Or connect speakers to the output port of the MBP. -

How to Sleep an IMac using the Magic Mouse
I received a Magic Mouse as a Christmas present. It works really nice but I
must be doing something wrong as it is battery hog. It is just the middle
of January (less than a month of use) and the 2nd set of batteries are now
down to 40%. I noticed it starts getting a little flakey at 30% so I may have
to replace the 2nd set soon. Yes they were good when installed as it read
100%.
I have not figured out how to Sleep the iMac and turn off the bluetooth
Magic Mouse. If I put the iMac to sleep with the Mouse, it wakes when I
slide the Magic Mouse power switch to OFF. I must be doing something
wrong.
Again, I like the Magic Mouse but really likes it suck down batteries.Same problem here. Batteries last about 10 days. Checked each with a digital multimeter. One battery was drained, the other was perfect.
I replaced the dead battery and marked the other one I left in. One week later, the new battery was dead. The marked battery was fine. The mouse is defective, it is only using the power on one side. Time for a return to the Apple Store. I hope it will be a quick swap.
