Error 1015 occurs because you hacked the phone to either downgrade the iOS version or jailbreak. If putting the phone in recovery or DFU mode doesn't work, SOL.
You can Google for unapproved methods that can't be discussed here, though likely to leave your phone even worse off than it was before attempting to restore

What is the cause of "error 1015" when you're trying to restore and update an iphone 3gs? My iphone is currently in recovery mode and can not get out of it. All the information about my iphone shown on itunes is only marked as- N/A. How can I get my iphone out of recovery mode and get it to recover and update?

In other words, either your phone is jailbroken and you are sadly out of luck or you are trying to downgrade iOS.

Fixed it!
1. Made sure itunes software was up to date
2. Pressed and held 'home' button and 'on-off' button at the same time for about 10 seconds till ipod reset (I hadn't done this step previously)
3. Connected to itunes
4. Pressed restore and update ipod
Update successful and ipod taken out of recovery mode

Use the device as designed.
Pictures and videos taken with the device are designed to be regularly copied off the device to a computer.
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Media should exist in iTunes on the computer.
If the device has been used as designed then at most, only a miniscule amount of data is at risk. That data being pics/vids taken since the last time they were copied off the device. Also at risk is app data created since the last backup to iTunes or iCloud.
If the device is in recovery mode and it has not been used as designed, it is too late to salvage the data.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I'm assuming error 3259. Temporarily disable ALL of your antispyware/antivirus software, open your firewall and try again.

I believe from the situation you describe your iPhone 3g has the iPAD baseband 6.15.00 which is interfering with iTunes. Remember Apple does not allow downgrade of software typically. The current 3g firmware 4.2.1 has a baseband 5.15.04 which is lower than, what I believe your baseband is of 6.15.00. So to install the current 3g firmware 4.2.1 would actually be a baseband downgrade, which iTunes will not allow. So to fix your iPhone you will have to search the Web like diesel vdub said. There are no parts to buy and your iPhone will work again I promise.

Ok so i plugged my iphone an backed up in itunes by clicking back up now then i restore and update my iphone. My ios version was 6.1.2 when i backed up now it is on 6.1.3 with fully restore. Now i clicked restore from back up and i click ok it says not free space enough why and it started syncing automatically now help me restore my back up. And other thing is that when it was syncing it backed up again because i have it as back up to computer so please help me restore my iphone back up that i made when i was in 6.1.2 please

there are no error messages, just an empty iphoto library.
