How to solve Installation Failed Indesign on windows 8

How I can Instal Indesign. I've tried it. I just want to try this software for the first time. firstly I extract the split file of ofline Indesign installer. Then, I open the setup.exe file, so I followed the instruction, when I enter for step to Preparing for Instal, it always fail and give alert like as in this picture.Is it my opinion right that may be it causing by I have try for several Indesign master but it still not work.

Every PATCH installation fails after installing Windows Updates

I want to report an issue which I think is a Windows bug introduced by one of the Windows updates (unfortunately I wasn't able to find out which one of them).
Here is the test case:
1. install a fresh copy of Windows on a test machine
2. install all available Windows Updates (so the system is up to date)
3. create a sample MSI installer which only installs some dummy files (let's say Product Version 1.0.0) and host it on a web server
4. install the MSI from the online location using a command line like this:
msiexec /i http://server/share/package.msi
5. create a .MSP patch (e.g. v1.0.1) which only adds a new file to v1.0.0
6. install the v1.0.1 patch
RESULT: the patch installation fails with the following error message: "The filename , directory name , or volume label syntax is incorrect"
NOTES:
1. the issue was replicated on Windows 7 and 8 machines UP TO DATE
2. the issue is not replicated on a fresh installation of Windows without Updates applied
Is there anyone aware of what could cause this error? Once again the patch installation fails only on Windows machines with the latest Updates installed.

How to solve this belowed problem in Windows pc?

I have installed windows 7 32 bit os,And then i installed java 7.I have set the path variable as bin and i have set the JAVA_HOME variable properly. After that i try to run in command as >java it did show any thing and then i tried > java -v or trying to run a program it shows an same error like "There was problem starting java.The specified module could not found". Installation Failed InDesign CC on mac 10.8.4

Thanks Jeff , after 6 hours talking with Adobe agent issue is fixed. Problem was the older version of creative cloud installer on my system that had to be removed and creative cloud cleaner tool used to remove any remains of it. All was done from extra admin account I created just for this (deleted after all finished) so there was no glitch re administrative privileges. New creative cloud installer version was installed on desktop and installation of in Design and other apps worked .

How can one resize a inDesign Document Window without moving Document's position?

I've searched high and low for an answer to this habit that inDesign has. Am I the only one that finds this annoying?
You go to adjust the size of your document window to move it out of the way to get to something else on your desktop, and instead of keeping the document in place and just resizing the window, it moves the document with the resize. Not sure if I'm putting this in a way that people can understand me. Say I have two inDesign files open side by side and I zoom in on an area and adjust my view of the page. Then I go to the other inDesign document and adjust the view by grabbing the bottom right hand corner of the window and moving it to where I want it. The whole document then moves with it! I desire it not to, so now I have to waste time by using the hand tool to move it back into place. Illustrator doesn't act like this. Photoshop doesn't act like this. Only inDesign. Does this harken back to the PageMaker days? Am I missing a preference somewhere I need to change? Or is it just the way of things and I'm stuck with it?

Delete AAMUpdater and OOBE folders

Download and install Adobe Application Manger from

It is never a good idea to have more than one active malware application as it leads to all sorts of instability and crashing. This is your problem. You have Kaspersky (in my opinion a leading cause of these) and Symantec (also a huge contributor)
I would remove them both and use the built in defender of some other malware application.

Java web installation fails on Lenovo Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

The old thread on this topic was mysteriously deleted so I am posting again as I have found the correct solution.
The correct workaround for this issue is to set Internet Explorer as your default browser, then set Chrome back as default browser. After you do that the installers will work correctly.
On the old thread, someone posted to use XP compatibility mode as a workaround. This is NOT correct; if you do this, the automatic updates will not work correctly and your computer will be left vulnerable to hackers. The same goes for using the "offline" installers.

When I try to install Creative Cloud, it tells me Installer failed to initialize. How can I fix this?

I had an issue with my Dell laptop and everytime i had opened Photoshop it would freeze and crash my computer. I had to recover my computer almost a month, and now when I try to redownload photoshop and creative cloud it tells me the same error message. Any ideas how I can properly download Creative Cloud?

Letters 'messed up' when InDesign CS4 file is exported to PDF - how to solve?

I hope somebody has had this problem before and knows how to solve.
Situation: Indesign CS4.
Book file, with 130 linked documents. Everything is ready to go to Press.
I exported the book to PDF. Once I opened the PDF, in some of the rows on the text, all letters are 'messed up'!- see screenshots below.
Very strange, since I made several other PDF-exports (up to 20) in the days before - and everything went fine before.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
Has it maybe something to do between 'Press quality' and 'Print quality' settings?
The problem seems somehow related to the font, since everything else is just fine.
NOTE: the sentences below you cannot read are NOT made that way by me ;-), to prevent it from being able to read it. This is how it comes out the PDF.

we had the same problem
exporting CS5 file into PDF seems to work fine but while opening the PDF file :
a) got a message telling the /Widths are corrupted for some fonts
b) when zooming on typos, we can see the approach/kerning is way not perfect between letters
c) on some text lines the letters are completly messed up ( see example below ) :
S O L U T I O N
a) open the CS5 indesign file
b) export as PDF : this PDF will be wrong
c) keep the CS5 indesign file open, don't close it
d) export again as PDF ( different or same name ) this 2nd PDF file will be OK
SO THE SECOND EXPORTED PDF IN A ROW IS OK
NOTE :
exporting as .inx or .idml just give an illusion
you may get an OK PDF in some circonstances
but if you close the indesign file, open it and export it : the first PDF is WRONG

- most of fonts are OpenType ( .otf )

I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.

Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air

I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
