What does it say when you try to restore it? Is it an error code that it gives you or does it simply say the restore failed? The error code could help us figure out what is wrong with it, but in most cases something like this usually leads to needing to service the device (i.e. get a repair).

startx goes to a black screen, Xorg.0.log doesn't report anything unusual (that I noticed). I've been using arch for a few years, but this is my first install on a mac, and my knowledge is rather thin in places, so I apologize if I'm missing something obvious. any help would be appreciated. here's my log. There are a few ways to get the screen to "enlarge", so it depends on what you are doing to make it happen.
For example, on a trackpad you can double-tap (not click) with two fingers to zoom in web pages. Or you can slide two fingers in a spreading out fashion to zoom in.
Do you have any notion about what you are doing when the undesired enlarging occurs?

My iPad (first generation) is currently on 4.3.5. I have been trying to upgrade it to IOS 5 several times since IOS 5 release but keep on getting the following messages:

I cannot find error -35 and I've tried everything that has been suggested. Any help would be appreciated (had no problem with my iPhone 3GS upgrade).

How to solve the choppy audio playback in Macbook Pro 2011 ?

Hi All,
I bought used 2011 Macbook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 and ugrade its RAM to 16GB and OS to Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4. It had very choppy audio with the last version of the OS and 4 GB RAM as well. Now audios in each and every player/ browser is completely choppy.
Does Apple know about this issue ?
Is there a permanant solution for this problem ?
I don't want to loose my temptation for Macproducts bacause of these type of issue. Please help ...

The OSX will use as much RAM as it needs and is available for the given situation. 16 GB RAM will not be 'too much' in any circumstance.

An SSD will allow for faster processing. Whether the costis worth for its benefits it is for you to decide. It will be able to swap data into the RAM faster but that does not make the RAM 'more effective'. As I said, the OSX governs RAM usage as required.
Or will my CPU still be hindering everything and I should just accept I wasted some money?
The CPU does not 'hinder' anything. It simply processes the data that is sent to it by the OSX within it specification limits. I am not certain that I understand your thinking here.
Basically: is it worth trying to upgrade & is it possible to get more out of my 16 GB RAM
That decision is yours based on what you feel you need and your bank account.

How to solve bad performance OSX Lion on Macbook Pro

From beginning i install MAC OS Lion i have have a bad performance on my macbook Pro.
Startup take about 3 minutes, after i login it takes a hour for i can use my laptop properly.
Can some one tell my what the problem is ?
     My laptop is a MAcBook Pro 2,53 GHz Intel Core Duo with 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR Memory
      I have a second partition with MAC OS X Leopart, Its working without any problems.
      Also i have check my Disk first, no problems found.

Look like i have some disk issues :-(

How to set up the font size or front form by default when I input textbox with adcrobat 7.0

When I input front into textbox with Acrobat 7.0 , the default font size is times roman, and defaul front size is 9, but i want to change its defaul attribute, so i press "Ctrl + E" ,and it daps textbox tool bar, then choose and modify attribute ,let them as my dafault configuration, but when i open a new PDF file ,and insert and edit textbox , the front's attribute return before .How to set up my requisite the font size or front form by default ?

right-click the field using the Object Selection Tool (after you've set it
up the way you want it) and then select "Use current properties as new
defaults".
