How to sort projects by name descending?

Is there any way of changing the default sorting by name ascending in projects view?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Thomas

Another often overlooked way to organize projects is to make use of the Project Description in the Project info window. The text entered is is then searchable in the project window search box.
Wiht the text Swimming in the project description,  I can enter this into the search field and all projects with those word(s) in the description appear.

  • Sorting projects by name

    I try to sort my projekcts by name but I didn´t find a way. As far as notice the projects are sorted by the change date; even I put them in folder I am not able to sort them.
    Is there any possibibility to sort projects by name?
    thanx

    Welcome to the forum.
    At the very top of the Library pane, just under the name of your Library, click on 'Projects'. This will take you into the All Projects view where you can quickly scan through the contents of Projects by mousing over the thumbnail for a Project.
    The buttons you're talking about are at the top of this view.

  • How to add Project manager Name on CJ03 screenlayout?

    Right now I am able to see only the project manager ID. How can I add one field which will display the manager name on the screenlayout of CJ03?
    Thanks
    Ruchika

    Hi Ruchika,
    You need to implement Screen Exit in the standard SAP program. The program for CJ03 transaction is 'SAPLCJWB'.
    Follow these instructions to Find the Exit and Implement a new field.

  • I found how to sort pics by name in Ipad IOS 5

    1) ensure all of your files in the folder you want to order are of the same type: jpg or gif or any other BUT of the same type. If they are bmps read the whole post before proceeding
    2)  create a macro in Photoshop to open the 1st file, save it as a bmp and close it (dont forget to close)
    3) run the macro as a batch (File /Automate/Batch...) to duplicate all of yours jpgs to bmps
    4) delete all jpgs from the folder (keep a backup copy if U dont trustme) :-)
    5) Synch your Ipad

    Alternatively, just get a third-party image viewer like Photo Manager Pro, which can directly import images in the Camera Roll (or any other, synched images) and also support iTunes File Sharing. And, of course, it has in-app, extremely good sorting capabilities (see section "2.1.3 Sorting" at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/all-one-photo-viewer-roundup-70-price-drop-bes t-image-viewer )

  • PSE6 - sort by file name

    How to sort by file name in the Organize view of PSE6.
    I tried Display->Folder Location. But there are still two pictures (#15 and #18 out of 130) which are shown at the end of the view.
    More sort options in the thumbnail view would be helpful.
    Thanks

    Not sure I understand what zou mean here Hagen. Do you because the
    images are in a different folder they don't end up in the right sequence?

  • How to Sort I variable of type VariableOneToOneMapping

    I am having a object mapping like this
    interface IUserName {
    public String getUserName();
    This method will be implemented by two class say A & B,Both the implementation looks like this
    class A implements IUserName {
    String name;
    public String getUserName() {
    return name;
    public void setUserName(String na) {
    name = nm;
    class c {
    ValueHolderInterface name= new ValueHolder();
    public IUserName getName(){
    return (IUserName ) name.getValue();
    Similarly the Class B also has the same implementation.The variable name in Cis mapped as VariableOneToOneMapping .i.e, name is mapped to Interface IUserName.
    Please let me know how to sort this expression name in the class C.
    I tried this
    ExpressionBuilder eb = new ExpressionBuilder()
    Expression exp = eb.get("name").get("name").ascending();
    ReadAllQuery ra = new ReadAllQuery(c.class);
    ra.setOrderByExpressions(exp);
    But I am getting the exception like this ----->
    (ERROR) Exception thrown while executing query. EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-6072] (TopLink - 9.0.3.5 (Build 436)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.QueryException EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: Querying across a VariableOneToOneMapping is not supported.
    Please let me know how to overcome this issue.

    It is not possible to perform a joining query across a variable class 1:1 mapping. If you need this sort of querying I would recommend using a shared table between your interface implementers and inheritance. Then you can have a relationship to the root class and query on the shared attributes.

  • How to view long file names and sort files within folders/projects?

    Hello, like so many people here, I am a new mac user, but certainly not computer illiterate. I have been a professional photographer for 10 years and recently change to mac and have been slowly trying to adapt my work flow accordingly.
    However I have become increasingly frustrated with Aperture 3 and after reading posts here it looks like I am certainly not the only person. While in my case I am sure it is because of my inexperience with mac systems so any guidance or assistance is much appreciated.
    Hopefully my questions are simple. I have been importing my images and re-naming images as I do so. A very simple combination of date, custom name, and counter. However, when I look at the images once the import has completed, they are not in any logical order within the 'project'. I have tried to sort them by file name, orientation, file size, etc, both ascending and descending, but they will not list in the correct order. eg the file '2010-03-09 Lyon France 001', continually falls between '2010-03-09 Lyon France 022' and '....021'.
    This has also lead me to a further question. While my file names can generally be read when the image is a landscape format, on the portrait images the file name it too long for me to read the whole name, and I can not find anyway to read the file name, eg browser, split screen, viewer, or full screen.
    Im sorry for all the details, and I am sure it is just my lack of experience, so appreciate your help.
    PS. On a separate note, I notice on another thread from the frustrated user 'ultratechy' that he got a reply from Tony who stated 'Also after installing any application you should always run disk utility and repair permissions....' Now as I am completely new to mac, I had no idea about this. Any other tips that I should always be aware of? Thanks again.

    Thanks for your reply Calx. If it makes you feel better, I am actually a New South Welshman - just living in the sunshine state!
    You are correct, I am trying to get my head around a new way of working and thinking, but I suppose it will all become clearer as time goes by. I have re-visited the manual many times, and been doing loads of research online, but just trying to put it all into practice now, so any tips or advice is always appreciated.
    At the moment, I am just working with a small part of my library until I do get my head around things before moving onto the bulk of my images. I have my images stored and backed up on multiple external hard drives. I am trying to import my images into aperture from an external drive as I have been slack over the years with keywording, metadata, organising, etc etc, so I figure from what I have read that aperture may assist me with making these time consuming tasks a bit quicker and easier.
    I have put a bit of thought into my filing structure, but I am sure that with further use and understanding, this may change in the future, but I hope not. To give you an example of how I am thinking and working - I have used folders for my regular clients, eg, Ray White, and then made another level of folders within 'Ray White' for the date, and then in each 'date folder' I place my projects and name them with the address of the property I have photographed. I select and edit images from each project and place them in albums under each project. Not sure if this is the most perfect structure, but any advice is welcome.
    Keywords is always an issue with me. Over the years I have compiled a number of list for each client and each 'type' of photography. For example, real estate images have there own list, I just simply manually add keywords for specific jobs, eg the address and any specific location or features.
    Again, advice and guidance always welcome and I would appreciate how you go about these topics? And maybe you can help explain something that I have pre-emted may be a problem, and it may happen when I move onto my larger library, and I am not sure how to explain this as it may show my lack of management previously. When I worked on my PC, I used PS4, Adobe Bridge and Camera RAW pretty much exclusively. For my landscape images for example, I might have 2 or 3 variations of the one images, eg, black and white, sepia, and color for instance. But the file name remained the same, I just stored them in different folders indicating what version of the image was stored there. Now I am thinking that when I import images in Aperture, I will come across difficulties because Aperture will think the I am importing duplicate images because I will in fact have 3 images with the same file name, even though the adjustments I have made to them are different. Is this the case? Will I have to make adjustments again? Will I have to change the name of the files prior to importing? If so, any advice or tips?
    Well, I should stop there. Im sorry to bombard you with some much text, but as mentioned, I am new, and finding my feet, so thanks for your time.

  • How sort projects by given number serie (ie. date)

    Hi,
    Right or wrong my 35 000 photos are in the library put in folders by year. Within each year there are projects (approx 30 -70 per year) with project names such as "20100725 closeups of a moose". When i add new projects as days go by and name them by the date series I use, they do not automatically drop into a slot as they would if sorted by the number.
    How do I sort projects by their name (ie number series)?
    please advice,
    regards pyry.

    Hi
    Right click or control click on a year folder, go down to Keep Arranged By, choose Kind, Name or Manual

  • How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name (using v 31.3.0).

    After a computer crash, I had to load Thunderbird (v31.3.0) back into my machine running Windows 8.1, and I successfully imported my address book back up file into Thunderbird (v31.3.0).
    My problem is that I don't see an option to sort the address book by "Last" name, which was available with the version of Thunderbird I had before the crash.
    How can I get the address book to sort by "Last" name?

    In 'Address Book'
    Select address book
    'View' > 'Show name as' > 'Last/First'
    The you can sort by Name.
    Either click on 'Name' column header to change sort order,
    If reversed, then click on 'Name' column header again to reverse the order.
    Or
    'View' > 'Sort By' > choose 'Name' and 'Ascending'

  • How to sort data in descending order when user clicks on the column heading

    Hi
    I have a report called "Top customers", which shows the top customers for a specific product line. It displays the customer name and one column with the total amount spent in the period for each product line. By default, the leftmost product line is sorted in descending order.
    If the user wants to know who are the top customers for another product line, they simply click on the column heading to sort the list by that column.
    The problem is that when you click for the first time on a sortable column heading, Apex sorts it in ascending order; you need to click on the same column heading again to sort in descending order.
    Is it possible to change this behaviour and sort the data in descending order in the first click? So the users don't have to click twice...
    Thanks
    Luis
    PS: Apex 3 running on Oracle 10.2.0

    Luis,
    See: Can I "catch" a click on a sortable column header of a report?
    Take a look at Anton Nielsen's answer with regards to hiding a column and displaying its value instead of the sortable column.
    Asumming the following simple report query:
    select product,sales
    from <table>
    Change that into:
    select product
    ,sales*-1 as reverse_sales -- Select this one as an extra column
    ,sales -- Hide this column
    from <table>
    In your report column attributes (of column reverse_sales), html-expression, type #sales#. It then displays the normal sales. However apex will generate a 'order by 2 asc' for the first time. The '2' will refer to the sales*-1 value: sorting it asc, is the same as sorting sales descending...

  • How do i sort by (file) name

    How do i sort by file name for an album?  I organize the photos from all different sources.. by filename.. and when i import them i just want them in the right order.  This has to be one of the most basic functions and why was it eliminated from iPhoto?
    Now all i get is "keep sorted by date" check box... (which does not work, some are still not in order)
    Apple:  this minimalist crap is getting old.. THIS IS A desktop PC..not an ipad or iphone.  Put some meat in the menus and stop worrying so much about everything being pretty and streamlined.
    C'mon!!!.. wasted time

    "Keep sorted by date" can only be toggled on and off for regular albums, not for smart albums.

    Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the third-party developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
    Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, email the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
    If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
    Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.
