How To sort the values of a OVS result table?

Hello,
I'm trying (because i'm new je je), to implement an OVS for an inputfield in my WD app. Now i know for sure that my sophisticated value help do the search of the object and stuff, but i'm wondering if i can "sort" or include the sort method in my result table that is show in my OVS rendered view? Plis if you guys could give me some tutorials or info that would be great

ok that's another idea that i had in mind, built a new window, but my issue was how call that window fron the table cell, just like an OVS? wich UI Element help me with that, no link to action, no button, it most be something like an inputfield, how did you do that?

[BC4J] how to revert the value in an entity based table after exception

I'm running BC4J 9.0.4.3.
I have a JTable with an AttributeListBinding to an entity based ViewObject.
I added an Validation to a setter method of an entity which throws a RuntimeException.
THe Framework correctly displays the errormessage, but the Table keeps the new entered invalid value.
What I want is that the value displayed in the table is revertet to tha last entry.
How can I do that?

I will try to better explain my problem
I have te table DBTABLE and another related table called DBDATES with colums(C1,DT1,DT2,TARGET) where I record periods of time and desired target. For instance my DBDATES table could have the following records
ONE; 01/01/2012; 31/01/2012; 100
ONE; 01/02/2012; 29/02/2012; 90
ONE; 01/03/2012; 31/03/2012; 95
TWO; 01/01/2012; 31/01/2012; 140
Exist a FK between both tables in the C1 column.
I have created an EO for the table DBTABLE with the tree persistent attributes (C1, N1, D1) an transient attribute (T1). The (C1,D1) is my DB primary key.
When I create a new record in the DBTABLE and based in the actual date I need to query the DBDATES table to check which is my TARGET and the valid target dates. For Instance if a record for person ONE is created on February 12, my TARGET is 90 from 01/02/2012 to 29/02/2012.
At the same moment I need to check the total amount of items record to the person ONE during the full target period.
Select sum(N1)
From DBTABLE
Where D1 between V2 and V3
And C1= V1;
Bind variables:
V1 = ‘ONE’;
V2 = ‘01/10/2012’ – queried from DBDATES
V3 = ‘03/10/201’ – queried from DBDATES
In resume, for a determined person when I create a new record in the DBTABLE I need to know their target for the actual period and how much as been record until now.
I don't know if is possible to solve this without using the View Objects, because I need to query the DBTABLE for a time frame and with bind variables.

Sorting the values in Map

Hi,
In my application, i want to use Mapping in the case
Key -Value
A - 2
B - 3
C - 7
D - 5
For that I used HashMap. But I want to sort the values and place in map as from Highest order. For that in google it is suggested to refer SortedMap. But this SortedMap is sorting the Key content only not Value content.
For sorting the Value's what I have to do under Collection?
Any idea?

Hope this explains better.You still haven't said how often you want to do that. What I explained will work, but it might not be what you want if you often change values.

      i have three input fields and one search button in my main window. when i click search button it should display popup window.whenever i click on selected row of the popup window table ,values should be visible in my main window input fields.(normal tables)

Hi Kranthi,
Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

How to find the value of a variable in other program say I am in a FM and this FM is being called in from other program and I want to know some of the variable details of the program from the FM itself. Hi,
You can use GetDatabankValue(HeaderName, Value) to get the value from databank and SetDataBankValue(HeaderName, Value) to set the value to databank.
You can refer to the API Reference to see list of associated functions and techniques we can use with related to Data Bank.
This is the for OFT but if you are using Open Script then you have direct access for getting the databank value but when it comes to setting a value you have to use File operation and write you own methods to do the set operation.

2. In VORowImpl of the extended VO, you can find the getter for your new attribute (example getItem())

How often do you need to display it? It sounds like you might want to base a summary on that formula with a function of first or last. If it's a per page basis, it can be a page level summary. If it's at a higher level repeating frame, then you can create the summary at that level. I'd suggest taking a look at the online help for summaries using the first/last functions.

How to get the values and attributes of Longlived processes by using ProcessID.

Hi Experts,
For every process we creates, LC ES2 creates processID.
we know that if you creates a long lived process, all the values which are in proces will be stored some where in DB.
Here my requirement is by using processID I need to get all/some values/variables stored in database.
I am not able to get values using processID. Here I don't have clue on how to get the values.
Please tell me how to get the same by using Process Management. Link/guide would be helpful

Searchable means you can put a filter criteria on it (e.g. where amount > 50000)
Visible means you can add have this column returned as an output (and therefore you can add it as column in listview and see it in Task Details).
These two attributes were provided so that queries could be done against the process variables, but the exact contents of the variables are not allowed to be seen.
