How can I set the logging severity level for clustered servers just once at the cluster level rather than one at a time at the server level?

I know the logging is server by server, but surely there is a way to configure the multiple servers with one change rather than one by one. We have 40 some servers in the cluster.

  • How to define TX_SERIALIZABLE isolation level for a CMP EJB

    Hi JDev Team,
I have created a portable Primary Key Generator realized as a CMP Entity Bean which
    has a method getNEXTID().
This method returns a PK from a table
    and increments it by one.
    My question is:
How can I set the transaction isolation level of getNEXTID() to TX_SERIALIZABLE in order to avoid phantom and dirty read problems?
    Best Regards,
    Stoyan K.

Assuming you are using the bc4j cmp implementation, the default for isolation level is TX_READ_COMMITTED so I don't think you run the risk of phantom or dirty read.
Unfortnately as of now this property cannot be specified declaratively.
It looks like you want to run the getNEXTID() with the RequiredNew transaction attribute.

  • How to find the toner level for HP LaserJet 1500L Drum and Toner set

You may have lost the original 1500L CD that came with the printer, or bought it second hand.
So how do you find out how much toner or drum fixer remains!
Actually this is a dumb question. The legacy 1500 and 1500L use dumb toner and drum cartages. They have a chip which simply counts the number of pages printed, and when a preset number (as per cartridge size) have been printed, it sends a signal to the printer to replace it. This is ok if you print the average amount of ink per page, but if you print a lot of photos, the cartage will be exhausted before the indicator flashes, and if like the rest of us you print the usual selection of documents etc, then probably about 50 to 25 percent of the toner remains - what a waste!.
Ok - but its kind of nice to know how many pages have been printed.
    Do exactly the following:
    1) Press the (green) GO and (orange) CANCEL button simultaneously.
This will then print a status and configuration page. The top left hand column will give the number of pages printed. However if you reset the NVRAM to allow you to use up the supplies, then this will be the count of pages printed since this was reset!.

    Hello tmsmatt,
    Please try the below step...
On the product control panel, press and hold the Resume button ( ) for 2 to 3 seconds.
The printer would print a configuration page and you'd find the info you required in it.

I started a book but I cannot change the album I want to pull photos from without starting a new book.
I assumes you have a book started - now open the second album and drag the photos to the book project in the source pane on the left - do it again with each album you want to use
All of the photos you drug to the book - from albums or events - are now available to use in the book - you can add additional photos at any thime by dragging them to the project project in the source pane

  • Patch set level for financial family

    Hai All
I have some confusion regrding family & module. These are quries
    1) what is the difference between a family and a module.
    2) what are the different families and modules present & how to find out them in oracle applications.
    3) How can we find patchset level for a particular family in OA
    4) How can we find out different products in present in each family.

    1) what is the difference between a family and a module.Module is a specific Oracle Applications product (i.e. GL, AR, AP, FA, CE, ..etc).
Minipack: An aggregation of patches at the product level. For example, Inventory Minipack G (11i.INV.G) contains all the latest patches for the Inventory product at the time the minipack was created. Minipacks are named in alphabetical sequence such as 11i.INV.E, 11i.INV.F, 11i.INV.G, and so on. Minipacks are cumulative. In other words, 11i.INV.G contains everything in 11i.INV.F, which contains everything in 11i.INV.E, and so on. The terms patchset and minipack are often used interchangeably.
Family Pack: An aggregation of patches at the product family level. For example, Financials Family Pack C (11i.FIN_PF.C) contains all the latest patches for products in the Financials family at the time the family pack was created. Family product codes always end in "_PF" and family packs are given alphabetical sequence such as 11i.HR_PF.B, 11i.HR_PF.C, and 11i.HR_PF.D. Family packs are cumulative. In other words, Discrete Manufacturing Family Pack G (11i.DMF_PF.G) contains everything in 11i.DMF_PF.F, which contains everything in 11i.DMF_PF.E, and so on.
    2) what are the different families and modules present & how to find out them in oracle applications- Use Patchset comparison tool - patchsets.sh
Note: 139684.1 - Oracle Applications Current Patchset Comparison Utility - patchsets.sh
    https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=139684.1
    - From OAM
    - Use Applications Diagnostic Tests
    - Use $AD_TOP/sql/adutconf.sql
    3) How can we find patchset level for a particular family in OAThe above should be helpful to find out patchset level for a particular family pack. You may also check the following thread:

  • Prime Infrastructure 2.0 Link-Down Alarm severity level

    Hi,
i have been looking for a way to lower the severity level of link-down Alarms. I use the threshhold utilization feature and want to generate an alarm when CPU or Memory goes over 90%, this works fine. Problem is that when you enable "Switches and Hubs" or "Routers" category to receive alarms under: Operate -> Alarms & Events -> Email Notifications, you define only Critical alarms should generate an email and Link-down is by default Critical.
Well you figure that you should be able to change this, but i can't find anything to change the severity under: Administration -> System Settings -> Severity Configuration.
Do anyone know if this is even possible? If so please tell me how..

    Hi,
    Yes it is possible.
    Changing Alarm Severities
You can change the severity level for newly generated alarms
    Note Existing alarms remain unchanged.
To change the severity level of newly generated alarms:
Step 1 Choose Administration > System Settings .
Step 2 Choose Severity Configuration from the left sidebar menu.
Step 3 Select the check box of the alarm condition whose severity level you want to change.
Step 4 From the Configure Severity Level drop-down list, choose the new severity level ( Critical , Major , Minor , Warning , Informational , or Reset to Default ).
Step 5 Click Go, then click OK.
Check the attached screen shot ..
    Thanks-

  • Access level for Tab

    Hi,
How can i define security level for each tab?
i have set of users and i want a particular tab to be displayed to certain users only not to all users.
i have already defined access privilege for the particular tab in the Advance option for tab granting privilege to specific user and also specified that this particular tab should not inherit privilege from the page, but still the tab is displayed to all the users.
    regards,

I also have this problem. I am using Portal 10.1.2.0.2.
I've set up two groups (systema_users and systemb_users) and have set up two tabs, each of which should be only accessible to one of these groups. However, no matter which user I log in as, I can see both tabs regardless of which group the user belongs to. On each tab I have set access to 'Specify Access Settings' and have specified the appropriate group, with the Customize Portlets (Full) privilege, since I need them to be able to customise the content of the tab. What am I missing here?

  • Stdout severity level

    Hi all,
I am using weblogic application server version 923 with two managed nodes. One of the managed node has an different team's ear that our application uses. The managed node's logging severity level for the stdout is set to NOTICE and there is no filtering enabled and uses JDK logging.
The ear does not contain a log4j.xml. But the the server node's .out file shows the DEBUG and INFO messages from the java classes contained in the ear.
I assumed that if the severity level in admin console is set to NOTICE, the DEBUG/INFO log4j messages of the application will be filtered out.
The other issue, is that there is no log4j.xml on the entire linux box on which the application server is running. I confirmed that using find command.
Also the admin node's logging severity level /filter are disabled; I wonder if this is causing an issue?
We need to install this ear in production weblogic enviornment thus wondering as how to avoid application related DEBUG/INFO messages in the .out file?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, you should - although I've never tried it personally with a clustered WLS. I'd suggest that you try one of the WLS forums - you'll probably get a better response.

    Hi,
My client want to create a delivery block EDI order at the Order Header level for specific materials
    How can we achieve this.

    Dear Varada rajan
Go to material master, select "Sales: sales org.1" view and assign "01" against the field "DChain-spec. status" and save.  By assigning, for a particular sales area, you can block that material.
Now go to OVSU select 01 and assign "B" against the field "Block delivery".
Now create a sale order and post the outcome.
