How to Split Capacity Requirement

Dear PP Guru's,
We are in discrete manufacturing, there are several operations having capacity requirements say 24 hours .
But in actual we do not perform such operations at a go. We carry out operation in partial lots of operation qty. say each lot requires 4 hrs & there are 6 lots. Say for each lot operation is perforemed on alternate day.
My query is how we can split the capacity requirement of (single) operation in to six (lots) so that we can schedule each lots on alternate day. Currently we schedule capacity in CM31 where the order is shown in single block of 24 hrs.
Please suggest how to split the operation qty. Any configuration required to do so?.
Regards,
Srinathan.

  • Reg capacity requirement

    Hi friends ,
Can anyone tell me how to create capacity requirement..
When execute cm01 for a work center it is displaying the " No capacity requirements have been found for
selected periods" how to generate the requirement??

    how to create capacity requirement
CM01 is a report where you can see capacity requirment of a perticullar work center.
As said by our other expert you need to create capacity during work center creation.
Now based on your usage of workcenter in routing sytem creates capacity req during mrp run (scheduling = 2 lead time scheduling),plan order creation and production order creation.

  • How capacity requirement calculated in RCCP in SOP

    Hi,
I am executing RCCP (Rough cut capacity planning in SOP)  for a material through MC93... I am in the below situation as shown in the below screen shot... in the below screen shot if we consider April 2014 month I understood how available capacity 34819 (MIN) is calculated but not getting how capacity reqmt 397 (MIN) is calculated... can anybody guide me on this how capacity reqmt is calculated....
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply....While creating the rough cut capacity planning profile where I need to mention the qty produced..I will give you my exact situation..
I have resource with  six days working. total working time per day is 1339.2 MIN. Total work days in a month are 26 so total available capacity becomes 26*1339.2 = 34819.2 MIN
Now in a month I have a requirement of product is 20,00,000 PC. Machine can produce i.e. capacity of the machine is 1,00,000 PC per day....now my capacity requirement will become like this
total to produce 20,00,000 PC no of days required are is  20,00,000/100000 =  20 days
Per day capacity is 1339.2 MIN so total capacity requirement is 20*1339.2 = 26784 MIN
So now capacity load is 26784*100/34819.2 = 76.92
Now question is where to give capacity of the machine is 1,00,000 PC per day. is it in the RCCP profile header in the base qty as shown below or some other place....  plz clarify....
    Thanks

  • How to do capacity levelling

    Dear Frndz,
Pls help me how to do capacity levelling.....
    Scenario:
I have created two production orders for the same finish date as a result the work center is overloaded. Now I want to do capacity levelling.Tell me the step by step procedure to do capacity levelling, so that the capacity problem is solved.
    Regards,
    Srini.

    HI,
    Capacity leveling after order creation
This process covers capacity leveling of requirements from the production process, monitoring the capacity after different periods, and how the system determines the new values for the current order after changes are made to the quantities, times, and dates.
    1) T Code CM21
    2) Enter the field Plant & work Center
    3) Choose Enter.
The current orders whose operations result in capacity loads at the selected work center are displayed. By scrolling through the different charts in the planning table, you can analyze the information provided.
4)For a better view, choose Settings ® Scale ® Monthly period split.
    5) To automatically dispatch one or several operations of an order, click the red rectangle in the order's diagram section to select the order and choose .
The order disappears from the order pool and reserves a time segment in the work center section.
    6) To manually dispatch one or more operations of an order, select the order in the diagram section, drag it to the work center section with the mouse, and place it in a time period that you select.
    7) To deallocate an order, select it in the work center's diagram section and choose .
The order is again displayed in the order pool.
    8) To analyze the changes made in scheduling, select an order in the order's diagram section and choose Order.
    9) Choose Item and write down the start and finish dates of the operation you selected.
    10) Choose Enter until the Planning Table: SAPSFCG001 Finite Scheduling Forw./All Functs.Active screen appears.
    11) Drag the order to a valid section in the work center's diagram section. Make sure that you move the order to a valid and defined start and finish date.
    13) Select the order in the work center's diagram section and choose Order.
    14) Choose Item and compare the new start and finish date.
    15) Choose Enter until the overview tree appears.

  • Planned Order Capacity Requirement CM29

    Hi All
This may be a trivial question for you guys, but I am couldnt find the problem, need your help again please:
In CM29 my planned order and process orders are visible, and I am using the standard overall profile: SAPSFCG013.
Earlier I use to see a continous red bar for length of the planned order / process order in the graph, but somehow now it just show up as a single line, irrespective of the order quantity.
Can you please let me know how to resolve this!
    Thanks in advance!

  • Error in SAP APO Inbound: capacity requirement is invalid

    Hi Experts
I am getting an error in APO Inbound in APO queue manager. The error text reads " Capacity requirement is invalid".
I checked for all the resources whether they have validity and also checked for mismatching control key. But these fields are allright in both ECC and APO system.
I checked note # 924562, but i am still not able to solve this issue.
Can you please suggest how should i debug this error?
    Many Thanks!!
    Regards
    Mansi

    Hi Mansi,
Were you able to replicate the issue on which activity triggers this CIF error?
I remember a similar error which happened when converting planned order to production order where it was giving error"“Bucket capacity requirement has an invalid value” .
SAP had suggested to implement note 1381483 to fix this.
    Thanks

  • Remaining capacity requirements scheduled for operation in Planned Order

    Hi all,
I'm workig with planned orders, and I need the "Remaining capacity requirements scheduled for operation" data to list it in a Z Report, but I don't know how to get it.
You can see the info in the "Detail Scheduling" of the planned order in MD13.
Anyone knows how to get the info? Any table or any FM to get it?
Points will be given for helping
    Thanks in advance!

Did you ever find out where the planned order capacity information lives?  I can find the production capacity information in table KBEZ, but it appears that there is no planned order info there.
    Thanks,

  • How to split shopping cart qty to create two PO

    Hello SRM guys
Could you give me a tip to develop for this requirement?
    We use the classic scenario.
My customer want to split shopping cart qty to create PO with different vendor.
I know that buyer can change the shopping cart data in workarea. But buyer can not split shopping cart qty to create PO with different vendor.
    Help me --;;
    How to develop this requirement?
    example:
    Shopping cart No: 60001
line item 10: AA 100 qty
Buyer want to split SC qty
    SC No: 60001 -->line item 10: AA 50 Qty --> PO 001
    SC No: 60001 -->line itme 20: AA 50 Qty --> PO 002
    Thank you
    Best Regards

    Hi Sohee,
I think your requestor wants to have 'Quota arrangement' concept (available in MM) in SRM also.
SRM 5.0 provides such feature, but the source of supply should be represented by a contract and the Quota allocation
I don't think SRM 4.0 has such feature. In which case this might need detailed analysis and modification to SAP modules. It again depends how flexible you want the feature to be. I mean, it depends, whether you alwasy want equal distribution or self-adjustable distribution etc...
I would be interested to know how this requirement will be implented in SRM 4.0 (in case if you have SRM 4.0)..
       Thanks,
       Jude

  • Splitting of requirement into PRs

    Hi All,
We have forecast based Planning with MRP type VV, and Historical period and Forecast periods is 3 and splitting of requirement for 1 month is weekly and next 2 month into  monthly
But when I run the MRP Planning, system is giving only 4 PRs, one for Safety stock and remaining 3 for 3month forecast.
What I was expecting, as 1st  month requirement is spitted into week, so Purchase req will also be create into weekly basic.
Please I want PR for 1st month on weekly basic. How to achieve this.
And One more requirement was for 1st two month requirement should in monthly and for last month it should be in weekly. How to achieve this?

    Hi,

  • How do split tunnelling in VPNs work?

How do split tunnelling in VPNs  work?

The most visible issue is where the client's default gateway goes.  In a full tunnel, it moves to the far side of the tunnel.  In the split tunnel, it stays local.  The security risk of split tunneling is that the client is providing a bridging path for outside malicious traffic to leak across the tunnel, with no influence from the far end's firewall and IDS.  The performance risk of full tunnels is that 3rd party outside traffic not terminating at the organization on the far side still has to take the tunnel, which can add latency, limit throughput, or increase packet loss.   The best designs require balancing the network layout, uplink sizing, and security posture in concert.

  • Putting a production order on hold, removing capacity requirement

    Hi,
I have a need to temporarily remove capacity requirements from production order because there is situation on the shop floor that caused the particular order unable to move ahead.
Capacity requirement shall be re-instated when the order specific production issue is cleared.
Is there a way to update a production order to release capacity requirement yet allowing changes to production order routing? I tried "LOCK" production orders but that will not allow me to change anything in the order.
Can I set up a user status + user exit to remove the capacity requirement? If so, how to?
    Thanks all in advance!!!
    Regards.

    Hi
Capacity requirement can be deleted when the following functions are carried out.
1.The production order is set to Technically Complete.
    2. The deletion flag is set for the production order
    3.The production order is locked
4.The indicator capacity  requirement in the procdution order is reset  and order is rescheduled
5.The capacity requirement is reset with fucntions -----Availability check---reset cap stock

  • Capacity requirement and scheduling process

    Hi Experts,
please explain me how capacity requirement and scheduling (please explain with configuration  settings)    will help in SAP PP.
    Regards,
    Bhaskar.
    Edited by: basi123 on Nov 7, 2011 1:12 PM

    Dear
Capacity Requirement Are those Which is used  For Operation And Calculate the Time with help of Dervied Formulas
for instance i take an Example To Describe so that u get clear Picture
Ex: Suppose i have machine Drilling u assume that Drilling machine as a one capacity under capacity catergory
here to operate this i need to make my machine set up first then machine time i need to arrange a labour
so total i required Setup Machine Labour so Here in sap we define a standard value key with all these combination and there we will assign formula for HOW Much to Produce so on...... and in turn it is assigned to control key to perform all the Actions.....
Scheduling : Scheduling is Nothing but to sechedule Right time at Right job This helps in shop floor to over come overload on machines.scheduling used in
    scheduling for Production orders
    scheduling for Planned Orders
    scheduling for Plant maintainence Order
    Configuration :
    1. Capacity Requirenemnt ;
SPRO>>>production >>> capacity requirement >>>> Define capacity catergory
    2.Capcity planner
    3.Define parameters OP7B
    4.Assign this to OPCM
    Scehduling
    1. go to OPU3

  • Capacity requirement showing up in previous month in RCCP

    Hi Experts,
I am doing RCCP through MC88. But when i am giving the sales quantity in January and generating a synchronous production quantity, the capacity requirement and load are shown in the month of December instead of in January.
How can i get the requirement and load in January, please suggest.
    Regards
    Sm.

    Hi Jiaul,
I cannot find a provision to change the profile dynamically from MC88 screen. This is possible in my understanding in capacity levelling/planning screens like CM38/CM01, etc.
But even in such screens the same problem remains. For example when i did LTP for this material with PIRs in Feb 2011, the capacity requirements in CM38 appeared from current period that is from 09.12.10, though my planning scenario was valid from 01.01.2011. I changed the period and evaluation period dynamically from  the CM 38 screen, but that did not solve the problem as the requirement and load which was wronly showing up in Jan instead of Feb 2011 ( just as it happened in RCCP) merely vanished from the output and now i have the available capacity in Feb 2011 showing up but without any capacity requirement or load in the month.
    Regards
    Sm.
