How to stack the photos?

Apparently I am doing something wrong, but I cannot stack the photos. In grid mode I select 2 or more photos, go to Photo - Stacking menu and all options in that menu are gray out. How to activate it??

Unfortunately, you can only stack when working directly in folders. If you're in a collection or browsing by keywords, it's not available.

By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course.

There isn't really a way to "save" photos to iCloud currently with non-beta software.
iCloud is involved with photos in 2 ways -- backup and Photo Stream.
Backup of an iOS device includes Camera Roll photos but they cannot be viewed at iCloud.com -- the backup can only be used when doing a restore of an iOS device.
Photo Stream photos also cannot be viewed at iCloud.com; Photo Stream is designed as a method of transferring photos from one device to another and is not designed to store the photos. More info http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486

I have emptied the iPhoto Trash but the photos in network folder are still not deleted.
In iPhoto Preferences, Advance, Importing, I have UNCHECKED "Copy Items to iPhoto Library."

iPhoto is a relational database management program and manages only items that it controls - items within its library - it does not and will not do anything with any photo that is not in the library except to delete photos from cameras after import - and this is not recommended
You are running a referenced library and it is not recommended - it makes deleting photos more difficult as you are seeing, it makes importing photos more difficult and it makes replacing or upgrading hardware much more difficult

Just like for any other photo - select the photos in the album and use the command "File > Order Prints".
Be careful, not to include any text slides. If it is difficult to select the photos in the slideshow, create a new album from the photos in the film strip (File > New Album).

Thks for the contribution. However, it seems I cannot solve my problem with the kindly proposed solution.
Let me rephrase my problem:
I off-line prepare, organize photos and also add manually individual photo captions with PE12 Organizer. In the properties panel, I can check that the photo properties (including captions) are properly associated with the photo.
However when I upload on Revel -directly with PE12 Organizer (selecting Share/Private Web Album)- these individual (accordingly captioned) photos or albums, I cannot find the photo captions (i.e. the photo caption did not directly show up with the photo in Revel). This obliges me to a double work by copying and pasting each photo caption.
Is there any plan to get rid of that ?
Let me add that I am using the French version of PE12

What version of iPhoto?
Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing. Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

They show in the camera roll, just not your computer?
Have you checked every folder that is in the DCIM folder?

Saved Photos Sync - How to Sync the photos from iPod touch to Mac

How can one syncrhonize the "Saved Photos" on an iPod touch (or iPhone, for that matter) to Mac OS X?
Certainly using iTunes the specified photos on Mac OS X are saved to the iPod touch, but I don't see how to get the "photos" (snapshots of the iPod touch screen) to be copied/sync'd to Mac OS X, e.g. so that I can use these "photos" in a blog post, etc.

on a PC you would go to My Computer and the iPod would show up as an external disk for you to copy the photos from.
on a Mac i'm not sure of the exact procedure but i'd imagine it's something similar.

You need to unsync them. If you uses the folder syncing method either remove them from your syncing folder or change which is you syncing folder. Also see:

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can recover any photos in photostream, by logging into your account on your computer. Any photos that are in the camera roll and not in photostream may be in your backup if yo kept one. When you replace your phone, restore it using this back up.

Connect your iPhone to your computer. Tp your pc should recognize your iPhone as a camera. Use what ever application you have on the pc to transfer files from a camera to your computer.

you can't delete individual pictures from it. You can only reset it, so that the cached pictures are reset to zero by turning off photostream on the PC/Mac as well as on the iOS5 device.
Once you turn it on again, the same pictures randomly start populating it. Always the recent 1000 pictures . You can't select really which one will go there and which wont.
