Hi Friends i am newbie
I i have learnt OAF sofar in my office .for that i have used jdeveloper tool .Now in my office they want me to go through "BPEl " i dont know nothing about it .please give my little introduction about BPEL.
Which tool we need to work in BPEL.
which technology we mostly use .
IS it like OAF (or ) difficult or easy whn compared with OAF.
from were can i start learning BPEL
Please give your suggestion and some intro about BPEl

Hi,
I assume you mean the JMS example under the $OH BPEL examples area. Unfortunately, this only shows how to get a BPEL process kicked off by awaiting a JMS message - but there is no test code there! There are specific examples which show off the testing framework facilities but it appears that all the examples which use async type of interactions are in the middle of a process which is kicked off by a normal synchronous client interaction.
Any further help much appreciated.

How to deploy my own web services to the Start BPEL PM Server?

Recently, I am learning the JDeveloper BPEL Designer(version 10.1.2.0), I had finished my first BPEL process CreditFlow flowing the quickstart guider.
Now I wonder how to deploy my own web services to the Start BPEL PM Server? I mean I don't want to invoke the CreditRatingService as I did flowing the quickstart guider, but to invoke my own web servcies. Now I had made some web services with eclipse and deployed them to the tomcat5.0. but how can I invoke these my own web services just like I invoked the CreditRatingService in the JDeveloper BPEL Designer?

Copy the WSDL file from your Tomcat server onto your development machine. Add them to your project in JDeveloper. Then add a partnerlink and specify the WSDL location. Then add you role, variables and compile!

How to start working with BPEL[SOLVED]-but someone still can help me :)

Hello Everyone,
I'm Fizzz, I'm totally new to BPEL. I don't know where to start and how to start.
Right now I'm Working with JDeveloper 11g R1. I didn't go further yet but Now i have to create some BPEL Process that can be integrated to my Web Application. There are some transaction to be Approved or Canceled from BPEL and if Transaction is Approved then i need to Update that Transaction to Peoplesoft's Database. I have 1 week to learn it. and then i need to start my work.
But i really don't know where to start? What do i need? And how to proceed?
Can Anybody suggest me the steps that i can follow to get Start with BPEL and done with Peoplesoft connectivity?
I would really appreciate your help.

Your Oracle Doc links are really very helpful. i would definitely go through these docs to get familiar with BPEL, But i have only one week to understand this part of technology.
So would request for any Live Example or How to's for Sample BPEL app creation and integration part of that. I would definitely read these document but i need some fast overview on these processes practically.
Can you please suggest me such things.

Problem to start BPEL Console of Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0

Hi everyone!
I'm writing to yours because I installed Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.3.1.0 but I can't start BPEL Console. I tried to start it by the option menu of Windows XP and by Developer Prompt, but I get a HTTP 404 Not Found page. When I was installing the universall installer told me that it wasn't possible to set ORACLE_HOME variable because it had a value older than 1023 characteres. So, I continue the installation but I can't start the BPEL Console. The Dos Console teld me sometimes when I put http://localhost:9700/BPELConsole..timed out. So, tell me how to resolve that problem.

What do you mean with older than 1023 chars?
I think the easiest way is to uninstall the BPEL Console and run the installer again with correcting the ORACLE_HOME problem...

She worked in non-SAP in IT for the past 10 yrs.
Recently she learned ABAP(not certified).
She dont have the experience working in a company.
she has ABAP knowledge and can do the job.

I too beleive that if you are having about 10 years of experience as an IT guy , then definately one would have developed that understanding of the function as well .
In ABAP what i have experienced is that if you are having that business clarity or fucntion knowledge the you would think in a more effective way as compared to a newbie . As you would be aware what the problems coule be and what new would cropp in over a period of time .
As a fresher yes you can start in ABAP but it would make your friend diffrent from the masses based on his 10 years of experience .

Could anyone please tell me how to start to solve this problem?

Hi,
I'm new to SOA world. I was making a PURCHASE ORDER PROCESSING application.
I created DB connection,Credit Card Validation Service, Purchase Order Routing Service,
BPEL Orchestration, Adding Human Workflow, Adding Business Rules, then Adding Fulfillment.
From that time one problem was created,showing BPEL component has invalid settings.
As i told before i'm new to this technology, so could anyone tell me how to start to check and solve this problem ?
I have no idea from where and how to start.

How to open bpel designer

Hi friends,
How to open bpel designer?
I installed bpel process manager 10.1.3.1 and oracle fusion middleware (contains jdeveloepr).
Opended service like this
start menu>Allprograms>oracle- orabpel1 >oracle process manager>start bpel PM server
Later opened console like this
start menu>Allprograms>oracle- orabpel1 >oracle process manager>bpel console
bpel console came and asking username and password.
username:oc4jadmin
password:oc4jadmin(tried without password also).
massage as Authentication failed.
i dint find any bpel desinger. how to open designer. is it correct process.

As you told jdevloper and soa suite version should be same..
if upgrade soa suite to 10.1.3.4, there is no version of jdeveloper(only 10.1.3.3).

How to start/ restart the service in visual admin of SAP WAS 6.4?

I have installed the sneak preview version of SAP NetWeaver WAS 6.4 for default Database MaxDB. While developing a simple application to manage simple database table citymaster with 2 columns in jsp I am getting error as
Exception e com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at : java.comp.
Looking at visual admin tool for WAS 6.4 all the entries are in color blue but the last entry for 'DATASOURCE' is in RED color where 'java.comp/env/JDBC/DATASOURCE' is the jndi reference created for default DataSource.
Can any one help me that why the last entry is in RED and it that say that some error has occured or that entry is not started then how to start that?

I have checked the Visual Administrator's JNDI Registry service entry in the ejbContexts node but there is no entry for the project which I have created.
It get deployed while I right click on the project's ear file and click on "Deploy on J2EE Engine". But same as before while checking in Browserthe site gives the same error...
