Hi there. You should get control of the Cloud OS vision, if you want this career to be the Microsoft way.
MVA got great jump-start courses so that you can learn more about the cloud offerings from Microsoft, such as Windows Server with Hyper-V, System Center, Windows Azure and Windows Azure

  • How to create success factors csv directory path in sap ?

    Dear Gurus,
I want to make a directory path for success factors csv exporting in sap. what should i do ? where can i start ? where can i make this directory path like "SFactors" , "E:\SFactors" ?
    Best Regards

    Hi Kemal,
Is it working right now ? What should i do for RFC user ? Customer talks about rfc user and authorization to folder ? How can i associate with RFC dialog user ? Should i create rfc user ?
Yes you can now view the contents of the folder SFactors using your ID.
I can't comment much on the RFC users as I have no clue on your integration scenario. You may refer an example of integration using PI in the link below
SAP HCM and SuccessFactors BizX Integration Using SAP PI
If your scenario is as below
Create a CSV file from SAP and Successfactors can do FTP to the SAP server and pull the file.
Sol: You need to create a ftpuser on successfactors . Write a script in SAP server to connect to successfactor server using ftpuser. Copy the files from SAP server to Successfactor using ftp commands. No RFC user required here.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get the Success Factors LMS to record the quiz score for an Adobe Captivate 7 module.

I have a few questions and one outstanding issue.
    My Issue:
I can’t get the score to be recorded by the Success Factors LMS.
    Question 1)
I notice that the quiz reporting section in Captivate 7’s Preferences menu has a “Data To Report” section.
However, for SCORM 2004 and Tin Can, there is no option to report Quiz Score like there is for SCORM 1.2 and AICC.
Is reporting the score impossible for those reporting standards?
    Question 2)
My organization is using the Success Factors LMS and I’m trying to get the score to be recorded by the LMS.
I’ve set the Published Captivate module to report the Quiz Score as a percentage (Points is unavailable to me since there are more than 100 pts),
but the LMS is recording whether the module was Complete (passed) or incomplete (not passed or yet to be completed).
Is (are) there some parameter(s) on Captivate’s side that I need to be setting for Success Factors to correctly record the score?
    - Maybe Captivate (in SCORM 1.2) should be reporting the Score as points and not percentage?
    - Maybe I should be using AICC?
Is (are) there some parameter(s) on Success Factor’s side to interface correctly with Captivate?
I’ve checked the Adobe forums, but I don’t see any help there and
I’ve googled the issue to the point of exhaustion and frustration.
So, I would very much appreciate the help.
    Thank you for your time.
Provided below is a screenshot of my Quiz Reporting settings:

Last year I worked with a customer who has the SuccessFactors LMS and, after some issues and discussions, the SF folks suggested their LMS supports AICC better than SCORM.
    That stunned me a bit...
SO, sure, barring anything else, it may not hurt to try AICC!
And I think SF is also limited in their SCORM 2004 support. If going with SCORM, definitely try to get SCORM 1.2 working first.
Your settings look good to me. Maybe can't hurt to try 'points' but I'm not so sure that would work.
So you're ONLY seeing 'Completed/Incomplete' not 'passed/failed' as you'd prefer?
You're not seeing a recorded percentage at all?

    Hi,
Here's an SCN tip for you: if you post multiple questions on the same topic and get detailed answers, then you should mark the questions answered and award some points (where merited).
Otherwise - eventually - no one will respond!
Anyway, onto your question. I personally think the best avenue of attack is to:
    - join an organization that is already running SAP, even if it is in some junior position
    - make it clear that you are very interested in SAP SD and are willing to do all the training etc yourself
    - grab every opportunity you can to learn SAP SD on-the-job
There is little point getting certified if you have no experience. I don't think it improves your chances of getting a job (and it can be quite expensive).
Anyway, just my opinion! Good luck.
    cheers
    Paul

  • IS Success factor a BOOM?

    Hi Guys,
Just wanted to know your thoughts and feedback on SF.
I am planning to start a course in success factors, but few questions that I need help before taking a dip in the ocean.
    1) I am SAP HR consultant with 4+ yrs exp in SAP Industry. If I do the transition from SAP HR to SF, how my experience is going to be counted going forward. I understand doing just SF course will not land me a job in SF. What are your thoughts?
    2) After completion of the course successfully. What are the job prospects? Many companies haven't migrated to SF yet. My exp will be only trained in SF and no body hires you if you are just a fresher. Correct me if i am wrong.
Let me know your suggestions and ideas.

    Hi BP
First up.... It's actually SuccessFactors (sounds a bit pedantic but mispelling is on par with how mispronouncing SAP)
I've noticed SF has become quite popular. We are implementing it at my client right now. One thing I can see is the size of the implementation team is quite small.
For more information on SF and careers, there are some really good blogs in the HCM space. I've put this on the Career's wall as a Moderator pick as it summarises the situation quite nicely

  • Documentation, success factor? Time consume? Tools, methods to use?

    Hello,
Some questions in my mind, Please share your experience and knowledge. This is not a very technical question, it's a discussion.
Experts, database team leaders, Consultants, managers, CTO, CEO can share their thoughts....
    - How many of you believe in documentation?
    - Is documentation a success factor or is it just a waste of time in some cases?
    - How much time should a database team spend on documentation per work day?
    - How to "invite" database team members to use, write, maintain the documentation; which "smart" methods can be used?
    - How can I know the documentation done is up to date? Should I just "trust" in my team members OR which "smarts" methods can be used to verify it?
    - Which methods, tools can be used of a good, complete documentation of the database libray, logical structure, procedures, jobs, backup / recovery, installation, migrations, etc ... ?
    Best regards,

Experts, database team leaders, Consultants, managers, CTO, CEO can share their thoughts....I am non of them...
    - How many of you believe in documentation? 100% (Because its the number i.e. 100% which is representation of completeness)
    - Is documentation a success factor or is it just a waste of time in some cases? It depends. It is waste of time only, if reader is either not having any approach to solve the problem or he/she is not doing practice as per instructions in docs.
    - How much time should a database team spend on documentation per work day?Rather than opening facebook, chat room, playing games etc. (of course they are also meant for a mean), but one should think that i am an Oracle DBA; so my first task in free hour is to read docs.
    - How to "invite" database team members to use, write, maintain the documentation; which "smart" methods can be used? Some sort of motivation in term of money and/or appraisals.
    - How can I know the documentation done is up to date? Should I just "trust" in my team members OR which "smarts" methods can be used to verify it?It depends. First you can ask for proper documentation, check it and make necessary correction (if any required). As far as matter of concern of trust, yes you can but not blindly.
    - Which methods, tools can be used of a good, complete documentation of the database libray, logical structure, procedures, jobs, backup / recovery, installation, migrations, etc ... ?As far as Oracle concern, i think there is no such great need to have documentation, because database dictionary is having all sort of metadata; but yes for DBA concern, you have to properly outlined the major in and outs of business, person, technical resources with higher administration that any DBA has to write procedure in this way, these are backup strategies, rules, Guideline for Installation, How to perform migration etc. If any DBA find fail to follow these "Working Manuals" then they might be punished by any mean.
I am not sure, how much all these are helpful, but i expressed my opinion/views.

  • How to start laptop without keyboard

MacBook (2 Ghz Intel Core Duo). Made in 2006, I believe.
The keyboard seems to be hosed. I spilled a bit of something into it, tried to wash it out with distilled water, dried it carefully. There seems to be something wrong with the "start" key. I don't know if there are other problems because the machine won't start.
I don't see any replacement keyboards on eBay.
Maybe I'll try to use it with an external USB keyboard. But how to start the machine without the keyboard? The start button is built into the keyboard.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tim

  • How can I add multiple, successive destinations in "Maps" such as on a delivery trip with several stops ?

How can I add multiple, successive destinations in"Maps" such as on a delivery trip with multiple stops and so needing driving directions i.e. set up a route ?

    Maps help:
Mark a location with a pin
You can drop a pin on a location to get directions or help you find it again.
    Open Maps
On your map, go to the location you want to mark with a pin.
Choose View > Drop Pin. If the pin isn’t exactly where you want it, put the pointer on it and hold down the button until the pin “hops.” Drag the pin into place, then release the button.
To see information about a location, click its pin, then click the Info button. To close the Info window, click outside of it.
To remove a pin, select it, then choose View > Clear Pin.
    Get directions
Using Maps, you can get directions to help you navigate on foot or behind the wheel. Once you've decided where you're going, click the Share button to send your map and directions to your iPhone. (Your iPhone must have iOS 7 and be signed into the same iCloud account as your Mac.)
    Open Maps
    Do one of the following:
Click Directions to open the directions sidebar, then enter the starting and ending locations.
On the map, click a pin to display its info banner, click the info button to see more info, then choose “Get Directions.” (If your starting location doesn't have a pin, you can Control-click or tap it with two fingers, then choose Drop Pin.)
Click either the car (driving directions) or person (walking directions).
If multiple routes appear on the map, click the one you want to take.
To zoom in on a turn, click it in the directions sidebar.
To close or reopen the directions sidebar, click Directions in the toolbar.

  • How to start manually an oracle 8i database with a bat file?

    Hi all,
I know it's not the place but it is a really common question: how can i start manually an oracle 8i database on windows 2000 without using a service? I don't remember the command. I tried: oracle start SID without success...
    Thanks
    JMi

    Dear JMD,
If you would like to startup the Oracle instance using a batch file then first create a SQL file (say ABC.SQL) wherein enter the following two lines:
    connect internal/<INTERNAL_PASSWORD>
    STARTUP
<INTERNAL_PASSWORD> above is the password for the INTERNAL user account (default password is "oracle")
Then create a batch file (say START.BAT) and enter the following single line:
    <ORACLE_HOME>\bin\svrmgrl @<ABC_DIR>\ABC.SQL
where <ORACLE_HOME>\bin\svrmgrl is the full path of the SVRMGRL.EXE executable and <ABC_DIR> is the directory in which you have placed the ABC.SQL file.
Now you can startup the Oracle database by simply double-clicking on the START.BAT batch file.
    Ciao!

  • Career and Succession Planning

    Dear experts.
I am in the phase of BBP. We are working with ESS&MSS 1.41. ERP 6.0 ehp6.
    My question:
What are the Business Package that I need for work with  Career and Succession Planning in the portal?
What are the steps of customizing in the system ERP?
Who can share documentation with me?
    Thanks

    Dear Nidhi,
First of all, is this a technology question (Nakisa) or a functional question?
If you are new to Career and Succession Planning then you should be working with an experienced consultant, because implementing these modules require experience of business processes. This person can help you.
Without knowing your customer, their culture, their business challenges, their goals, their existing processes, and the technology being implemented then it is not possible to help you.
    Best regards,
    Luke

  • How to Start Essbase without using OPMN in 11.1.2.1

    All,
We have installed and configured Essbase 11.1.2.1 successfully on 64 bit AIX server. Now I need to know how to start the essbase without using OPMN?
As we can start essbase using :-

<EPM_ORACLE_HOME>\user_projects\epmsystem1\bin\startEssbase.bat

; But this method will still use OPMN, if OPMN is not running it will first start up the OPMN processes and then start up Essbase.

As we are not using Essbase clustering and so do not find OPMN more beneficial and moreover OPMN is not working properly to start any processes. so we just do not want to use OPMN in starting the essbase.
is there any workaround to just skip the OPMN while starting/stopping/restart essbase?
    Thanks in advance,

    In 11.1.2.0 there was startEssbase.bat at <EPM_HOME>\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startEssbase.bat

which basically just called setEssbaseEnv.bat which sets a number of variables, one being %ESSBASEPATH% which points to <EPM_HOME>\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer
    Then called %ESSBASEPATH%\bin\essbase.exe
    This bypasses opmn
Now in 11.1.2.1 Oracle removed <EPM_HOME>\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startEssbase.bat

but still left setEssbaseEnv.bat, it is possible to call setEssbaseEnv.bat and then %ESSBASEPATH%\bin\essbase.exe
Essbase starts up fine and bypasses opmn.
I would have thought it would be possible on other OS types as long as the environment variables are set first being starting up essbase.
    Cheers
