How to start SAP and oracle on SUN SOLARIS SYSTEM

Please suggest
(Mistakenly we restarted the server when SAP is on and now SAP is not starting)
1. How to start the SAP ECC6 in sun Solaris.(version 10)
2.How to start the oracle in sun Solaris (version 10)
We are trying with
sh startsap SID
but it showing SAP SYSTEM NAME NOT FOUND

First start oracle :
login as orasid and login to sqlplus "/as sysdba"
and then startup and make sure that listener is up and running.
For that you can lsnrctl status, if its not started just do lsnrctl start.
After that login as sidadm and then startsap R3
If still if you face any error like system name not found.
then try as startsap R3 <hostname> or startsap SID <hostname>
Defenitely it will resolves your issue.

From the Unix prompt enter oemapp console(for v9.x). If you are using earlier versions it is oemapp console (for starting the console) and oemapp dbastudio(for starting dba studio)
For starting OMS enter: oemctrl start oms.

How to use Php and Oracle on 2 different systems

I connected with a net 2 systems. One (Windows 2000 + Oracle9i) is the database server. The other (WinXP + Apache 2.0.54 + Php 5.0.4 ) is the web server. I'd like to make the WinXP machine connect on the Win2000 but It seems it doesn't work even if I'm using:
oci_connect( "<user>" , "<pwd>" , "//<ip>:<port>/<db-name>" );
the error is always "_oci_open_server: ORA-06401: NETCMN: designatore del programma di gestione non valido"
(translated: "NETCMN: invalid gestion management program")
can someone help me?

ORA-06401, 00000, "NETCMN: invalid driver designator"
Cause: The login (connect) string contains an invalid driver designator.
Action: Correct the string and re-submit.
The //ip:port/sid connect string will only work with 10g clients.
Check your tnsnames.ora file. Does the file have control characters or missing carriage-return characters ? (Maybe you ftp'd the file from a unix box ?)
I would suggest that you create a new tnsnames.ora - hand edit it (don't copy the old one). If you have sqlplus client - try using it to connect to the remote DB first.
The instructions for connection to a local or remote DB are all the same (when using plain OCILogon) because the connection is made over TCP.

Auth for creating PO : SAP R3, Oracle 9i, Sun Solaris

1. Auth for creating PO (ME21N) for 10 users of Document type (M_BEST_BSA =All)
2. Auth for creating PO (ME21N) for 20 users of Document type (M_BEST_BSA =UB)
3. Display of POs (ME23N) to all 30 users for all document types.
Assume I have 30 users total. when i create roles and assign to users. All 30 users are able to create POs of all doc types.
Can someome give some clue. . . . or can it be done thro config settings

From what you have said, you are in a difficult position.
Auths are additive, so if you need M_BEST_BSA with actvt=01 and doc type = * in the same role (or any other role that is assigned to the users) there is no way that you can provide the restriction for ME21N.
Your options are:
- Restrict ME21N and ML81N in the same way
- Do not restrict ME21N but provide an alternative control, e.g. user training + review of each PO to ensure they are correct doc type
- Split the assignment of ME21N and ML81N to different users
- Find a user exit in ME21N that will allow an additional check on a custom object that includes doc type.

I got the solution how to start EM in Webcenter .
If in your configuration is there any other HTTP server is running then its comfilect with your current Webcenter with HTTP server installation. so try to installed only Oracle Webcenter Freamwork only...after that try to open the Application server control page with 8888, it will definately work...

Where did you read that?

The sizing give there is for the initial system setup. It does not contain customer specific requirements.
The usual process is:
- you contact your hardware vendor
- you use http://service.sap.com/quicksizer together with him and fill in the data
- the hardware vendor will offer you the storage and the machines for the setup
- the vendor configures with you the storage and the necessary filesystem layout based on that sizing
Each customers setup is different and requires the experience and knowledge from the respective hardware vendor how to set up the system so it performs well.
You can follow the suggestions given here, this will be enough for the initial setup but the system will grow. This is not taken into account in the installation guide because it's customer specific.

We want to do a windows backup of the 2 nodes with everything stopped (SAP, Oracle and Services).
In another word how we can stop SAP, Oracle and services without a failover.

very easy:
as documented in the installation guide.
clustered components have to be at least stopped using the Windows Cluster Administrator (in Administrative Tools).
in order to do a backup of the SAP and Oracle Disks too you have only to take the SAP Instance
within the SAP Cluster Group and the Oracle Instance within the Oracle Cluster Group offline.
At least the cluster disks needs to be online on the node where you are running the backup.
The rest of the resources within the SAP and Oracle Cluster group may remain online.
Oracle strongly recommends to use the Oracle Failsafe Manager to stop the Oracle database.
you can also use commandline tools like cluster.exe and ofscmd.exe to administrate cluster resources.
(cluster.exe resource "SAP PRD Instance 00" /offline) ...
by the way: in Netweaver 2004s you can also stop the SAP Instance using the SAPMMC.
it will detect that the instance is clustered and will use the cluster interface to take it offline (just the instance).

Migrating single instance SAP and Oracle 11.2.0.1 database to Oracle RAC

We have a single instance SAP Netweaver environment on Oracle 11.2.0.1 database and want to migrate to Oracle 11.2.0.1 RAC and ASM. The documents are for 11.2.0.2 and later but we want a way to:
1. Migrate single instance SAP and Oracle 11.2.0.1 instance to ASM
2. Configure the environment as four node Oracle 11.2.0.1 cluster
Thus far, I have:
1. Installed clusterware 11.2.0.1
2. Installed four ASM instances
My questions:
1. We want to migrate the single instance database to same server and extend to four node cluster and ASM
However, current SID for SAP and Oracle must remain the same. The problem I have is that the target database name needs to be same as source on same physical host.
2. How would I use RMAN to migrate the single instance database to ASM for 11.2.0.1?
3. How would I use rconfig after this step?

The guide only show the deployment using Netbeans6.Now I want to deploy it directly using Server9 , how can I do?

To deploy a JBI application to Sun's App Server, you will need a JBI compliant ESB installed. OpenESB would be my first choice here. Then as far as installing your components without Netbeans, there are two choices. 1) Copy your SA's to the JBI/ESB autodeploy directory and you binding components and service engines to the JBI/ESB autoinstall directory. 2) Use the ant tasks that the JBI specification (http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=208) requires for all JBI implementations. OpenESB's JBI tasks are detailed here: http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=JBIAntTaskReference. These ant tasks can be wrapped with maven goals if needed.
