will you plz add the related links to learn discoverer for exporting and importing the data from excel and etc.
i tried searching in google but i hope that i didnt get good stuff...
plz add the links to go through the discoverer.

Hi,
The Discoverer documentation is available here, you should look at Discoverer Plus first. You can use Discoverer to export data from the database into Excel, you cannot import data with Discoverer.

If you want some changes to be done to the file like mapping etc then you need to have the IR setting done too.
But if you are going to use XI as an FTP service you need no configuration on the IR except creating the Datatype , message type and message Interfaces .

I wish to start the J2EE engine and for the same it is mandatory to start the Message Server first.
In order to start the message server, I run the following command:

Hi Anand,
Will be good to know what OS are you using...
If you're tryng to start an instance use <prompt>: startsap pf=<profile of the system you want to start>
If you logon as <sid>adm just type startsap
If for some reason you need to start only the message server try <prompt>: msg_server start pf=<profile of the system you want to start>

Check the following path
E:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SapGui
Here the actual Logon Pad file would be stored with name "SAPLOGON" or "SAPLGPAD".
Create another shortcut for above file on your desktop.

In my application, i need to link to pc , so in order for me to start running the data socket, is it mean this two pc have to install with measurement studio software? after that, how can i code the server side so that the server pc can get the text file from client's pc?

Hi,
The DataSocket server is an executable, so you can just lunch it as any other executable. You can use the system commmand or any other way.
Once the server is running you can just use the connect method to start up the communication. You don't need measurement studio in the client machine, all you need is to create create an installer that includes the DataSocket component as any other MStudio controls.

I take it you were replacing an older iPhone and this was the first time you plugged it in? If so, that's what happens. It restored the backup of your old phone. A backup of the current phone is not made in those circumstances.
If that's not what happened, you need to clarify.

in some IDE i saw an option like "when start up"
i want that type of facility to my site for loading
global variables to all the web pages.1) JSPs have to be hit by something (some kindof request or dispatched request) so "starting jsp files" isn't quite the right mechanism.
2) The servlet spec provides 2 ways to load things on startup:
i) the <load-on-startup> tag in the web.xml for loading a particular servlet when the particular application loads
ii) The ServletContextListener interface and the corresponding <listener> tag in the web.xml. If your initializing is non-web specific (e.g. logging, starting up some kind of service, initializing global vars) than this is the better (and easier) route to take.
If you want to put these in the root context to happen when tomcat starts, then you'll have to make these modifications to tomcat's root web application (ROOT in the webapps folder).

I have downloaded the Java Identity Management Suite.(java_es-5-identsuite-ga-windows-x86.zip) I used a Configure Now installation on my WindowsXP. Everything went fine and after installation I was able to go to

and
http://localhost:8080/amserver/UI/Login
when going to AccessManager Console what is the login username/password as I am unable to log-in
Then I restarted the box but after that I am not able to go to these pages it says page not found
I tried the following but gives errors. How do I start ServiceRegistery and AccessManager

KM will install with portal itself
after logging into portal goto -- content admin -- km content
and for collobration follow below steps to activate
Content Administration ® Portal Content ® Portal Users ® Standard Portal Users ® Default Framework Page
Double-click Default Framework Page.
Select the Tool Area iView checkbox.
Choose Open. The Property Editor page displays.
Choose Show All in the Property Category drop list menu.
Choose Enable Collaboration Lauch Pad properties.
Select Yes radio button.
Choose Save
Choose Close.
Choose F5 to refresh your portal screen.
now u can see collabaration link in tool area.
