I have two gmail accounts, and usually a lot of tabs open. So sometimes I log into my other gmail account while a tab somewhere else still is logged in to my other. Sooner or later, the gmail with the old login session notices this, and makes a little alert() popup telling me I've been logged out, a couple minutes after I checked my emails on the other account.
Now the problem is, that firefox because of this alert() popup instantly jumps to that tab, and I lose my place in my tab-jungle. This is very annoying. How do I prevent this inactive tab from stealing my focus/alert messages autofocusing tabs?

I never excluded explicitly 'english' from the list, so I don't know what will happen doing this. But by default on a non-english server (that's at least my experience) you ever have preselected 'english' and your native language (in my case 'german'). I guess it's the same for OP, of course 'french' instead of 'german'. So he/she should change the browser default language and see what happens. If language remains 'french', no english components exist.

A user is using slow computer running with Windows XP SP3 and Java 7 update 45 version.
When user open this site www.rocars.gov.hk in Internet Explorer 8, it will wait around 2 minutes to disaply security alert popup windows. Then user needs to click Y to continue. Actually this website is trusted. How can I disable the security alert popup each time?
I ever asked the technical support from www.rocars.gov.hk and they replied this issue is related to Java. So I ask here.

How to show javascript alert popup after commandLink action?

Hi,
I'm building an ADF-based .jspx page. I have a commandLink whose action calls a method in my page's backing bean. I want to show a javascript alert popup when the commandLink is clicked and after the backing bean method has been called. The text displayed in the alert popup is dependent on whether the processing in the method was successful or not.
I couldn't figure out how this could be done though. It doesn't seem I can use the onClick attribute on the commandLink because that gets called before my backing bean method gets called. From my backing bean method, is there some way to launch a javascript alert popup and show certain text in it based on what happened in the method?

When I use the following code to grasp the input value from the user

How to stop windows defender popups in windows 10

Hi,
I have installed antivirus program on windows 10 which internally disable windows defender and now it started giving popups saying "This app isn't monitoring your PC because app's service is stopped you should restart it now."
I know that my antivirus program has stopped defender but still I'm getting the popups.How can i stop this popup message

Regarding the notification issue, please open services.MSC, find the responsible service and check if it is started, also make sure it is configured to Automatic for the startup type. (Which is supposed to be Windows Defender service).
Regarding the installed Anti-virus program, please consider seek help at the vendor side for a proper suggestion.
Besides, as
Kapil-Arya suggested, you may uninstall the program, use Windows Defender only (Which is reco), or you may disable Windows Defender.

Hi,
Unticking the option in SO16 avoid the pop-up at he time of login in the system.
If you need to avoid the popup for the emails while the user is already logged in, then remove the "Express" indicator in the email generation source, e.g. if the email is getting generated via SM37 batch job spool recipient, then in the spool recipient youn need to remove the option "Express".

How to stop emails alerting you to Forum replies

When you join the conversation by posting in the Forum, you are automatically signed up to get emails to let you know when someone replies to your post. We do this to make it easy for you to know when someone replies to your post.
Though this may seem useful for some, some other members may find it inconvenient. If you want to stop getting emails, you can change a setting. Here is how:
1. Log into the Forum.
2. Now, at the right pane, below your user name, click on My Account.
3. Now click on, Subscriptions & Notifications tab, as shown in the picture. This will open several subscription/bookmark options.
4. Click on the Notification Settings link at the left side.
5. Uncheck the option Automatically subscribe me to topics I participate in.
6. Finally, scroll down below and click on the button.
There you go!
Your settings are now saved and you will not get emails letting you know that someone has replied to your post. That said, you can manually sign up to get emails for a particular threads you are interested in following.

How to stop ringing alert (fire alarm ringing) after start-up!

I have had an unexpected ringing alert (fire alarm) ring) occur right after the computer starts up with all the applications showing on the screen...and sometimes I will come home and find that it had been ringing all day. I have checked as many places as I could for alerts but I see none are enabled. Does anyone know how I can solve this issue? I had the exact same problem. Come to find out it was a bad keyboard. Try plugging in the mouse in the back of you mac instead of the keyboard. This helped me isolate the keyboard as the problem. Apple sent me a replacement.
