How to stop - com.apple.launcd: Throttling respawn Will start in 10 seconds ?

I am running OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 on MacBook Pro Late 2013 with Retina display.
I had installed then removed an application KUsrTSK.app (Kaseya). I noticed this week in Console following process repeatedly running:
com.apple.launchd: (com.kaseya.AgentMon) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
I have tried to look for this command in /Library/LaunchAgents and did not find it.
Someone suggested to run following command in Terminal:
launchd remove com.kaseya.AgentMon
but no such process was found.
At a suggestion I have downloaded and run EtreCheck.app and have put the detailed results below hoping that it would be helpful for someone to suggest a course of action.

  • Console.app showing 18/12/2011 19:38:28     com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[155]     (com.zeobit.MacKeeper.Helpe r) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

So, i was looking around in my Console.app after three system crashes (which is another question i have, my 2010 MBP keeps completely locking up whenever i go to wish my uncle a happy birthday on Facebook[Safari 5.1.2])
And i notice this entry coming up every 10 seconds:
    18/12/2011 19:38:28          com.apple.launchd.peruser.502[155]          (com.zeobit.MacKeeper.Helper) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
I had MacKeeper installed a long time ago, in my naive months when i first got my MBP, and i saw how bad it was. I deleted the app using AppZapper, trashed all the .com and .plist files etc. etc., but this entry is (and maybe has been for a long time) still coming up.
    Can anyone shed some light?
It says PID was 162 at one point, looked in activity monitor for process PID 162, as you guessed, nothing.
    What do, internet?

That's the trouble with these uninstall apps, they generally cannot be guaranteed to uninsall everything a app can create.
Look in these following places for anything that might be related to mackeeper:
    your login items
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents
    /Library/LaunchAgents
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/StartupItems
If you find obvious mackeeper items toss in the trash and reboot.  If you are not sure post the items here.
I'm guessing there's a com.zeobit.MacKeeper.Helper in the LaunchAgents or LaunchDaemons.

Having a Kernal process running.  Computer seems to run OK but fan which almost never runs is on continuously for the past 3 days.

Just keeps going over and over.
Have different accounts but only seems to be occurring on one (primary) account.
I have rebooted multiple time, reset pram, disk utility permissions, quit a multitude of processes, even ran antivirus program.
    Any suggestions??
    Happy 4th, TIA
    Julius

The console shows thousands of these error messages and it's messed up many functions of my MacBook.
I have VMFusion on my Mac because for work I need to use Windows.  Last night I tried installing Windows 7 but could not complete installation.  I got a message saying "can not locate driver".  Then I started getting the Error 586.
Today I unistalled VMFusion hoping that would resolve the Error 586.  No such luck.
Can anyone help me get rid of this constant error, plesase?

I believe this has something to do with Mail. Are these frequently occurring errors? If so and you quit Mail do the errors cease?
Google searching for "org.postfix.master" reveals quite a number of links that you might check for more information.

  • MBP 2011 running crashing; com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds repeats in Console.

    Hello,
When i bought my MBP in Mid-2011 I found my Mac to be a little unstable but because I was new to MacOS I thought that perhaps it was just me.  I have carried on now for over a year, two machine formats plus an upgrade to Lion (from Snow leopard) and I'm still having problems.
    I keep seeing;
    Jul  5 11:03:12 tixylix com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd[1426]): posix_spawn("/opt/local/sbin/nmbd", ...): No such file or directory
    Jul  5 11:03:12 tixylix com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd[1426]): Exited with code: 1
Jul  5 11:03:12 tixylix com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
Scrolling in my Console logs, could this be something to do with the cause of my problems?
Should I take it to my local Apple store and let them have a look?
    Many thanks in advance.
    James

  • Wiki/Blogs gone (503 error) com.apple.wikid throttling in logs

Hello – I have an issue on my hands I can’t seem to get to the bottom of.
My system is an intel xServe dual quad core xeon with a software raid mirror, setup in advanced mode 10.5.6
We have been running this server for over a year, DNS works, OD works (everyone can authenticate and get at file shares etc.), VPN works, everything with the exception of the wiki services and blogs (teamserver)
I had a bad HDD in the array, that’s been replaced and rebuilt and everything is working fine with the exception of the above.
I am seeing the following in the system log non stop:
    4/16/09 12:33:00 PM com.apple.wikid[1544] Removing stale pidfile /var/run/wikid.pid

I went on a hunt for plistlib.py but it does not exist in the /plat-mac/ folder as listed in the log. There are however two other files plistlib.pyc and plistlib.pyo
I’m really not wanting to rebuild the entire server over this, I assume I’m just not reading something in these logs maybe some better trained eyes will see.
    Thanks
    Charlie
PS: will the powers at be get angry if I send this through the server mailing list as well, perhaps the wiki mailing list if such a thing exist?

Hey Everyone - a quick update. A very helpful friend gave me a hand figuring this out turns out the wikid process was failing because of a blog plist file. Replacing the metadata.plist files for all the users (whom had blogs in the collab data store) along with all the metadata.plist files for the groups as well got the service back up and running. When I say replace, I mean we renamed them all metadataplist.old and the system rebuilt the files and then loaded up without crashing.
I'll try and better document this whole issue (with more research into the cause) and update this for anyone facing this in the future.

  • WHAT???  .launchd[1] (com.apple.dyld) Throttling respaw

After the security update these are showing up about every one minute or so in the console logs. What is this message mean?
    12/17/07 6:15:12 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.dyld) Throttling respawn: Will start in 31 seconds

It is a known issue on "dyld" handling and a notification message such as "(com.apple.dyld) Throttling respawn" is harmless. Leopard no longer uses prebinding for the Operating System itself, instead a cache file is built by dyld's libraries. Thus the cache will automatically be rebuilt in 31 seconds whenever one of the dyld's libraries in the cache is updated in your case. This is what I understand about part of "dyld" for Leopard system.
If you want, find which an application(s) encourages the message to be called from inside the system. Then you may want to ask the vendor to fall into step with Leopard implementations.
dyld = the dynamic loader that is responsible for loading frameworks, dyld's libraries and bundles.

  • How To Locate com.apple.bluetoot.plist?

I'm attempting to delete the file com.apple.bluetoot.plist as recommended to restor function of my "magic" mouse. I love that thing - when it works! But there is no longer a way to find HD>Library>Preferences from Finder in OS 10.7. Or is there? I'm not a terminal user but could follow excruciating instructions. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Well, here we go again. My mouse stayed connected, mostly, for a couple weeks. Then today it started again with losing its connection and I've gone through all the processes suggested, including reseting SRC completely. And Immediately after the machine restared the mouse lost its connection. Every time.
I'm fed up. I'll go try to find a decent wired mouse to use on my machine, and then this is the last Apple computer I'll buy. I ended up buying a wired keyboard too, because the add-on numeric keypad I bought wouldn't stay connected either. How hard can bluetooth really be? Shouldn't these products function reliably?
In times past, Apple products "just worked." I used to tell everyone to 'switch' because Apple computers were reliable. Well, they're not anymore. I'm done. When this machine finally dies I'm going to an alternate OS and run something that really does 'just work.' Even if it takes more hand holding, it'll be worth it not to have stupid hassles like this.
Barry, I really do appreciate your help and patience. You've been the single ray of sunshine in this whole debacle.
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Com.apple.LaunchServices-014501.csstore keeps rebuilding every 3 seconds!

It's hitting the disk constantly. I've had some weird spinning beach balls go on lately, and last couple of weeks I discovered the old problem of this disk hit stuff. It just keeps replacing itself literally about every 3 seconds.
I went back to some old posts (where this was problem) using terminal commands supplied and I tried that now and it didn't seem to work.
I haven't figured out yet what triggers it, or what kills it, as every once in a while I'll take a peek and it's not doing this. I trash teh com.apple.LaunchServices-014501.csstore and it's buddy, but it rebuilds faster than one can restart, and the home folder LaunchServices plist, all to no avail.
Help me kill this (and keep it "killed"?)! Thanks!

If that's all one needs, it's a very good product. However, there can be more to Backup and Recovery than duplicates. I hold a license for SuperDuper and several other Backup and Recovery utilities as it's an area of interest for me, so I'm regularly testing and comparing them.
Retrospect has far more capability: it's truly the "Swiss Army Knife" of Backup and Recovery utilities and why I recommend it. Backup Sets, for example, are a Retrospect exclusive and are extremely useful. Backup to optical media, including media spanning, is another unique feature. As noted in my "Backup and Recovery" FAQ, Retrospect Express is often bundled for free with FireWire drives, making cost a moot point. One can do incremental duplicates with Retrospect Express whereas one must license SuperDuper to do so. If Retrospect was bundled for free with one's FireWire drive, one should at least give a try.
Likewise, Retrospect itself isn't that expensive: what gets expensive is adding the support contracts to Retrospect, but those are generally not required.
    Good luck!

  • Need help trouble shooting on how to fix my MacBook Pro so it will start

Ok, this is going to be a bit of a long one, cuz there are a good amount of details that go into the problem and how I have tried to fix it.
To start, late last summer I got my Macbook Pro 15" with high resolution anti-glare, 500 GB X 7200 RPM hard drive, and everythin else standard.
Next part of the story is that i decided to upgrade from my 3-year-old iPhone 3GS. So I preordered an iPhone 5 (never doing that again), and finally received it 10/05/12.
Wanting to synch my new iPhone 5 ASAP so I could fully play with it, I finally synched my old iPhone 3GS with my MacBook Pro for the first time. I had not previously synched it with my MacBook Pro, because all of the songs and stuff that were on it were from being synched with my family's desktop (from maybe a year or so ago; I don't synch my phones often.). I also had been lazy this whole time in not transferring the songs and stuff from the desktop to my MacBook Pro, so thats why I didn't synch my 3GS, because I didn't want to lose that stuff on my phone until I had made time to transfer the data. Because of this, I didn't use iTunes that much and I updated it only 2 or 3 times over the year that I had if before I got my iPhone 5.
After synching my old phone, I then tried synching the i5, but an iTunes pop up said that I needed to update to iTunes 7.0 in order to synch the new phone.
So I canceled the pop-up, and checked the updates in iTunes, and selected update (I can't remember what it said I was updating to, but I don't think it was 7.0).
After it started updating, it asked if I wanted to update something something else (I think it was an iOS update or something thing like that.).
I select update, because it looks legit, and why not update the whole computer when I'm taking the time to update iTunes? So the 15-20 minute installation estimation time turns into 2 hours (I think that it said that there was 2GB of update, but not sure.).
At that time, I think of how I don't remember if the update was 7.0 or not (maybe 6.9 or something like that was my thought.). So I tried to re-synched my i5 to make the pop up for iTunes 7.0 to come up. It came up, and I clicked the link to take me to Apple's site. I clicked the update to iTunes 7.0, and it started downloading from the internet, and it gave some download estimation time. Remember that the other iTunes and iOS thing was still updating while iTunes 7.0 was downloading. The problem was that I had to go to work a few minutes before the download of the iTunes 7.0 from Apple's site would complete and 1.5 hours before the other updates would finish. So I just left my MacBook Pro open, running, and updating/downloading.
After work, I checked my laptop, and it said something about finalizing the installation. So I hit that button to finalize or whatever it said, and it starts finalizing.
After waiting 10 or so minutes I check my MacBook Pro again, and it says that it needs to restart to complete the process. So I hit the restart button on the pop up.
It restarted, and against a blue screen there was a grey pop up that said that there was some error or something like that in the installation and that I needed to restart the computer again. There was only one button on the pop up, and it was the "Restart" button. So I pressed it, and it restarted again.
However, it didn't fully boot up (and to this day still doesn't) and get past the grey screen with the apple and the spinning gear thingy underneath it.
After like 20 minutes, I did a forced shut off, and rebooted while holding the option button to see if I could start my Windows side, since I have my computer bootcamped, though I haven't used Windows on it yet. The three options appeared: Windows something, Macintosh something, and Recovery HD. I clicked the Windows button, and after loading and stuff, Windows was running and working. So I'm pretty sure that my problem isn't a hardware problem, but a software problem.
So I asked a friend who is studying to be some kind of computer guy, and he suggested that I put in the Mac iOS X disk that I got with my MacBook Pro when I start up and try to get to Disk Utility. I did that, and was able to get to Disk Utility. And as he instructed, I (on the First Aid tab, I think) pressed "Verify Disk". He said that it started to look for problems and stuff. Then when it was done, I pressed the "Repair Disk", and he said it started fixing those problems. After it was done, I performed another forced shut off. I then turned my MacBook Pro on with crossed fingers, but it was still stuck on the gray screen with the apple and the gear.
He then suggested that we try to start it in Safe Mode, so we researched how to do it on my family's desktop. I tried holding Shift after the turn on tone and releasing it when the spinning gear appeared, but that didn't work. I'm still not sure if that's the right way to start in safe mode.
So right now I don't have any other ideas, besides spending money to get it fixed, which I don't want to do, cuz I'm not rich and I work hard for all these fancy toys.
It ***** to have the joy of getting the newest iPhone overshadowed by my MacBook Pro not working.
    Someone, please help!!!

First off your older OS X boot disks are no good as you upgraded OS X to a later version.
When you held the option key down at boot, this entered Startup Manager and by what your describing you have Recovery HD, Macintosh HD (your OS X boot partition), and Windows BootCamp partition.
To repair the drive, you enter Recovery HD and use Disk Utiltiy there to repair the Macintish HD partition.
You also use Recovery HD to reinstall OS X 10.7 or 10.8 from Apple's servers, this should fix your problems without deleting your programs or files. (some third party with at boot kernel extension ones will have to be reinstalled)

  • How to stop "Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud"

I just started using icloud.com on my pc and every time I sign on it sends a message to my recovery email, not icloud mail, and it drives me crazy especially when I have to sign back in after not being used for a bit. How can I stop them? Or would I register or verify my computer to get them stopped? Always been an iphone user but I don't know much about all the systems and programs. Please help! Thank you

Check your Apple ID to make sure that your Primary email address is the one where you want the notifications sent. At this time, there is no way to "turn them off". This was a security measure that Apple instituted to alert you that your iCloud account has been accessed by a browser.
Check your Apple ID info here: Apple - My Apple ID

  • How to stop some apple id call my apple id and/ or my phone number by face time

Hi there, my niece lost her iPod touch at school and in there had my phone number and my apple Id. Unknow people stolen the iPod keep calling me by face time even I changed my apple id. Can someone help me to stop them bother me like that way. They cover their face by blanket and talk crazy, if I do not accept, they will call me again and again. I am stuck ! Help me please !

You can delete the iCloud account from her phone by going to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete Account.  I believe you will get a prompt asking if you want to remove or keep the data on the phone; if you don't want your contacts on her phone choose delete.  As far as the contact on your old SIM card, if it is the same size as the iPhone SIM card you can put it in the iPhone and import the contacts (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4994).  If the SIM card won't fit, then you would need to either export the contacts to your computer using appropriate software, upload your contacts to a cloud service so you can download them to your computer, or in some cases take it and your iPhone to your retailer and ask them if they can do the transfer for you.  (It's also possible to cut a SIM card down to fit but it can be tricky to get it right.  There are articles on this if you search with Google.)  This video might help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypZpYNpfa9E.

  • How to stop receiving Apple Support Communities messages

Sick and tired of receiving dozens of messages.
Not even able to send them to the junk box. These continue appearing like a cloud of locusts.
    Please, help !!!

Unfortunately there is no unsubscribe from here so this needs to be fixed for the mails to stop.
Usually the tech tip I wrote handles this issue if followed exactly as written. A lot if users will try to short-circuit the procedure or stop after they set the email preferences thinking that that is enough to fix it.
As the tip states the email preferences only affect the future not what is happening now. So are you sure the actual notifications view is empty?
If you look at the email you received it will indicate where it came from, a single post, a thread or a community. You can use that information to go to the particular area sending the email and turn it off  At the upper righthand side of the screen is an actions box. Make sure it says Receive email notifications. If it says Stop email notifications click it.
If you still have problems a host can be notified to look at your account and try to fix the problem.
