How to stop email messages "Delivery has failed"?

For more than 6 months there have been constant messages. Now 100 a day! They all end in .ru with many different names in front. Do I have to cancel my .me address to stop this? How would I do that?

5. Insert your own eMail-address only as a jpg-file (image-file)

  • Message delivery has failed

    I continue to get the following error message when sending emails:
    Delivery failed for the following reason:
    mail.fgispirit.org[66.132.190.37] responded with failure: 551 This mail server requires authentication before sending mail from a locally hosted domain. Please reconfigure your mail client to authenticate before sending mail.
    On our other iPhone for the office the email accounts are setup the same but I am able to send. I am using the AT&T Server. Thanks!

    Try disconnecting from Wi-Fi.
    If your using the AT&T outgoing mail server, then you will only be able to send emails when connected to the Internet from the AT&T data network.
    If the issue persists try going to Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars>tap the account>verify/tap the Outgoing Mail Server. Make sure the primary server is set correctly or disabled if you only want to use the other AT&T SMTP server.
    If the settings are correct and you still see the issue, you may want to reset or restore the iPhone.

  • Delivery has failed message to iCloud account

    I regularly email a friend with an iCloud account and receive back a "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups" message. She is actually getting the emails, but iCloud/MobileMe is trying to forward the emails to a nonexistant account and that causes it to bounce back to me (and presumably everyone else who sends her email). This is a user who has had Mac mail since the beginning of time, first a "DotMac" account, then a "MobileMe" account and now "iCloud".  Evidentally this was caused by the transition to iCloud from her former account. Being nontechnical she tried to fix mail problems by creating a new iCloud account, which of course did not fix anything and created this problem where her real email address attempts to forward mail to a nonexistant email address, both theoretically sourced on iCloud. The Genius Bar guy told her it would automatically fix itself in June, which is both ridiculous and difficult to believe that it will self-repair.
    Yes she's called and talked to Apple about it.  It seems to me that there is a reference on the mail server that is causing emails to her real account to be forwarded to the not-real account. This reference can't be deleted? My friend has given up on getting it fixed. Any chance someone at Apple is willing to do something about it?

    No on both replies.... I confirmed the same behavior with a different user that was able to send to all 1100 users before also...so it doesn't seem to be user specific.
    I did try it again w the original user- this time the send log showed 0 unresolved recipients- and seemed to look normal- yet the sender received the same undelivered message and the emails were not sent\received.

    I keep receiving a "Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed" message about a message that I apparently sent 4 years ago. How can I stop it?

    What started as a single user experiencing an issue sending emails to some addresses has started to become multiple users.
    In Outlook 2007, when a user does a reply to some emails the E-mail Type: changes from the normal SMTP to MAILTO and then when the user sends the email it is rejected because either Outlook or our Exchange server is adding @domain.local to the end of
    the
    recipient’s email address.
    This also happens with emails where the senders address is shown as a clickable option [mailto:[email protected]].

    Okay here's the skinny.  I don't see an immediate patch coming out for this.  Also I'm concerned that Microsoft sees this currently as a single call, not that a bunch of folks are impacted. 
    While there is a bug they are tracking on this Offug49462, short term there will only be info detailed in the security update that there's a side effect of this update.  No eta of when exactly that wording will be posted in the bulletin, but that certainly
    will be sooner than a patch fixing this.
    The trigger appears to be when you click on mailto links.
    You have two choices as I see it:
    1. uninstall the patch, and wait until I post back that there is an ultimate fix.  I don't see this coming out in a week or two honestly, so be aware that per my read on the situtation, this won't be resolved quickly with another patch.
    2. leave the security patch on, and as a workaround to ensure that you don't accidentally click on a mailto link and thus flip your email addresses and get NDRs to do the following:
    In Outlook:
    Click Tools > Options
    Click the Mail Format tab
    Click Editor Options
    Click Proofing
    Click AutoCorrect Options
    Click the AutoFormat Tab
    Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks"
    Click OK, OK and OK
    Neither one is good, but it's all I have right now until something is coded up long term.
    So here's where you can do me a favor.  Call 1-800-Microsoft and explain to them you have an issue with a security update 2344993, say that you too are impacted by Offup49462 bug and tell them how many in your firm/office/school have been impacted.
    Like I said right now they only have one call on this issue, and I'd like to ensure they see more numbers of impacted people.

    From your description, I recommend you check the SMTP protocol logging on Send Connectors to find out why this message can't be delivered. SMTP log is very useful on diagnose mail delivery problem.
    Here is the default location:

  • Redirect Rule - Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups

    First of all my apology if this is wrong Forum. Please guide me to correct forum.
    Scenario is that we need to send emails to AD Group using C# code or script.
    First we tried C# code and it don't work, as per our finds, log in / password is required. Also, it was taking to much time because of protocol  and we need to send 10 to 15 emails at same time.
    We tried script and this time we created a mail box say, temp. We send emails to temp and added rules on bases of subjects of emails.
    Now, issue is if we setup forward rule, temp is able to forward email to AD group. If we setup redirect rule, email is not send to AD Group and temp received failure delivery.
    Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
    AD Group Name
    Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted.
    For more information about this issue see DSN code 5.7.1 in Exchange Online.
     We even made temp owner of AD group.

    I understand that delivery has failed to those recipients or groups when you setup the redirect rule.
    Based on my research, you could have a try as follows
    Open the EAC, navigate to Recipients > Groups.
    In the list of groups, click the distribution group that you want to view or change, and then click Edit
     icon .You can go to properties for DG, -> Select Delivery management ->Senders inside and
    outside of my organization , Click on Save.
    You can further limit who can send messages to the group by allowing only specific senders to send messages to this group. Click
    Add + and then select one or more recipients.

  • Delivery has failed to Recipients NDR

    Question on a non delivery receipt. My boss received the email receipt below (1<sup>st</sup> one) which is fine as the guy no longer works there. But the area of concern is highlighted. It states another person in the company. He is not listed in
    the email address area. I did a test on the email to see what I would get. That is the second one below. I haven’t seen this before do you have any idea why this would show this way? Just want to be sure that person is not receiving any emails that my boss
    sends or receives or done something that I should further investigate.

    As a test, please try sending multiple emails to the recipient, does it always state the same highlighted user? If yes, I suspect the highlighted user may have been set as the recipient's delegate.
    Please detail your environment a bit if possible, are you using Office 365 or Exchange on-premise? Office 365 users may get the error in the scenario mentioned in this kb below:
    "Delivery has failed" and "550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound" NDR after a mailbox is moved to Office 365

  • How to differ large message delivery

    I would like to differ large message delivery during night. For instance message size above 4 Mo be processed at midnight to avoid network saturation.
    I could not find any answers in documentation. I have got an idea to retarget messages over 4Mo with alternatechannel keyword. But how to hold channel processing until the night ?

    Sorry solution was in documentation, my question is how to "delay" a message delivery !
    You can delay a big mail by retargetting messages in a special channel and then stop this channel until off-hours time.

    I've been using Firefox for about 3 years. Today, I ran a scan of my computer Webroot Anti Virus and deleted all "risky stuff" they checked. Don't know if this is a coincidence but right after the scan I could not open Firefox. I receive the message, "Application has failed to start because ssl3.dll was not found. Reloading application may remedy this." I reloaded Firefox, the current version, clicked on open and received the same message. I've reloaded Firefox 3 more times with the same results. Now I need HELP.

    See if you can make Webroot restore that file in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).<br />
    If not then you need to reinstall Firefox and make sure that Webroot doesn't do that another time.

    works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1).  Try again.  with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only.  (you cannot get rid of the subject)    with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.
