Every time I go to a website a little drop down menu comes with firefox has stopped this going to another website and there is an allow button. I wish to turn this off. Please can you help me

How to stop firefox from blocking secure info from reaching non-secure web page? It's causing purchased products to not be delivered

This is a new problem that is showing up not only in my software but many others. My software uses PayPal to process online purchases. PayPal is an secure site. When the customer returns to our site they land on a thank you page. The thank you page must receive the ipn message from PayPal to know what product download page to load for the customer so they receive the correct products, which they just purchased.
FireFox is blocking this information from the secure site to our unsecure site and causing the customers not to receive download information.
FireFox used to work well with our product delivery system but the latest update is causing all kinds of problems. To you have a fix for this inconvenience you browser is causing customers and companies who use a third party processing system?

That can be a problem with the compatibility.ini file in the Firefox profile folder.
Try to rename (or delete) the compatibility.ini file in the Firefox profile folder to see if that helps.

How to stop Firefox from launching everytime I turn on my MacBook?

Everytime I turn on my MacBook, Firefox launches. It really bugs me, and I tried to stop it, but couldn't find how, either in system preferences or in the firefox menus.

This usually happens because you've added the application to the Login Items list in the Accounts preferences. Open Accounts preference, click on the Login Items tab, locate the Firefox entry, select it then click on the "-" button to delete it.

do you have the Flip4mac plugin installed?
if you do, you'll see it at the bottom of the System Preferences window..... Open the Flip4mac preference, select the plug-in tab. There's a check-box for
Launch Quicktime Player....movies will be launched in QT instead of the plug-in
if that box is checked, you would get the problem you describe.

How can I stop Firefox from blocking content on certain websites?

I have a website that I use for school, and everytime I log on there is content on a page that is blocked. To unblock it, I have to click on the shield drop down menu and click allow so it can display the content. But this is time consuming because it sends me back to the homepage of that class and I have to go through a series of links once again to reach the content once more. Is there anyway that I can add this website to a specific list of do not block, because between that and pop-ups constantly being blocked, it's very hard to get anything done. I am trying to access a website and I get a 400 Bad Request message. Further "research" leads to the "This website does not supply ownership information" message. I have cleared history and cookies, reloaded the page and followed all the answers given in relevant support pages but nothing works. All other browsers allow me to see the page, but I do not want to keep switching to chrome or IE. There must be a security setting somewhere that must be switched off. I find it extremely annoying to be saddled with settings I have not asked for, have no information on have no way to control. This is what Microsoft does and why I use Mozilla.

It would help if you could provide the address for an example of such a site so others may check it. Give as an example something publicly accessible and not needing registration.

Some how a while back I turned on the feature to have firefox block the next window or page to open. A message pops up "firefox preventing next page to open and at the other side of the screen there is a box that says allow" I don't know where to look to stop this feature. How do I stop Firefox from auto-loading websites on startup? Why doesn't it use the cache?

When I open up Firefox, I see a row of "loading circles" swishing around. I don't want my browser to do this, because it slows down my internet connection, it's unnecessary 95% of the time (I often keep tabs open just to have quick access to some text), and sometime it's actually detrimental (for example, when the page has changed since the last time I loaded it, but I actually wanted the information from the former state of the page).
How do I fix it so that Firefox uses the cached page instead of trying to load a new one?
To clarify: I want Firefox to load the new page when I visit a bookmark, or click on a link to a page I've seen before, or press the reload button. I just don't want it to do this when all I've done is start up Firefox.
Let the tabs sit there until I tell them to do something! Can anyone help?
