How do I stop automatic email notifications?
I had thought that I was subscribing to just a single thread but it appears that I'm now being notified about every message in every thread.  The last time I logged on I received over 200 messages.
If it doesn't stop I will have to resort to changing my email address.

  • Notifications ...  how do I stop getting email notifications?

Notifications ...  how do I stop getting email notifications?  I like this site but now I get 20-50 or more notifications a day in my email.  I would rather shut that off and check back on my own now....

Once you've turned off notifications, you won't get new ones. But you still have to cancel the notifications you've been receiving. This thread explains how at the top: https://discussions.apple.com/static/apple/tutorial/email.html

  • Cannot stop Forum Emails coming to my mailbox

I am very new here.  I had asked a question, and for some reason started getting emails from all kinds of members and moderators.    I was told by the wonderful person, Pat on the Forum I was on to ask here, how to stop getting emails from the Forums.  I checked my email profile and all items under Your Stuff-Preferences-Emails are marked "NO" just as Pat suggested.  I have in the past 24 hours been the
recipient of more emails than I get in a year, and after following Pat's directions, I am still getting emails which seem to be just from him.  Pat also said I should unsubscribe from the topic we were on, but I do not know how this is done.

    Go to the email.
Click on the link  "View the full discussion". This should lead you to the respective thread from which the email is coming.
On the right side under the Heading "Actions" look for "Stop email notifications".
If you find "Receive email notifications", it means you are not subscribed to the discussion.
Also, it might be possible that you subscribed to a whole forum instead of a discussion.
For that, click on the links on the top one at a time and repeat the above process.

  • Can't stop the email notifications even though I turned them off

I can't seem to stop the email notifications -- after receiving 240 emails this morning -- even though I have clicked on the notifications to STOP.  How do I get them to stop?  Apparently I'm getting all email notifications for ANYTHING iMac (Intel).

  • How Do I Disable Email Notifications For Discussions?

I am following a couple of discussions and I would like to stop receiving email notifications when a new post appears... But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do it! The Apple Support response I found via an Internet search appears to be for a previous iteration of the Apple Support Communities.

Click here and turn off the email notifications.

    to remove personal information.

You'll also need to go to any threads you participated in before making those changes and in the top right select "stop receiving email notifications."
You might want to  have a moderator remove your post, since it links to your preferences and displays your email for everyone to see.

  • How do I stop forum emails?

I posted a question back in early December on this forum, for which I had to register.  Now I get every single post that is made by anyone emailed to me.  For my computer email, I've directed the messages go to spam, but I still get them on my Raz Maxx.  Since December, I have received over 300 emails and counting on my phone.  It's not that I don't like you guys, but I would much rather just check the forum instead of being inundated with emails concerning Droid Razr Maxx when I'm at work, etc.
I've talked to Support - several times - and have received emails from Support saying they know how to stop them, to no avail.
    Here's what they've suggested:
    1.     Set Preferences to OFF.  I've done all that.  Everything is set to not receive any messages.
    2.     Go to Profile and Privacy Change your listed email address to [email protected], then click Save .  There's no way to change my email address or UserName, etc., because it's grayed out and not an option.
    3.     Go to Bookmarks and click "Unfollow".  The problem is I have nothing bookmarked.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
    Thanks!

Had same problem and solved it by going into my profile on this forum and selecting "Edit Preferences".  Then I clicked all the radio buttons to "Off".  This included 4 or 5 communication notification titles (Can't recall them all...but they will be obvious).
Saved settings and I no longer get those pesky email alerts every time someone responds to a post on this forum.

  • How do you control Adobe Forum email notifications?

How can I control the email notification process which automatically sends a copy of all replies to each thread in which I am participating?
Right now I have taken the process for granted, letting it do it own thing, and am automatically getting email notification for all the threads in which
I am participating. That is OK with me.
Due to questions on email notification how to that I have received from others...
How would I go about setting up the process so that I could pick and choose which thread replies should be send to me by
email notification? Is there a thread subscription preference somewhere?
And, how do I turn on and off email notification altogether if I wanted to do that?
    Thank you.
    ATR

Click your avatar picture near the upper right corner (slightly to the left of the pencil) and select PREFERENCES then set all Email Preferences to OFF and click Save at the bottom left
    AND
Another new "feature" is that Jive7 is oriented toward social networking... so every time you start or reply to a message you are automatically added to a FOLLOW list... meaning you receive a notification of every subsequent message in that thread
Click the FOLLOW link at the upper right and select STOP FOLLOWING... and don't click the link again to check your status, as you will then be added to the CONNECTIONS STREAM and you will have to uncheck that option as well
And, after you post in a message thread and select Stop Following, you need to do it all over again the next time you add a reply to the same message thread, since EVERY POST adds you to the automatic Follow list

  • How do I stop receiving email notifications?

I placed a comment on the a topic "unknown data uasage early morning" and set it up so I received email notifications when further postings occurred. After hundreds of emails I changed my email preferences to stop receiving them. Doesn't work!! They still keep coming and every day I have to clear out my email of these now nuisance emails. Can anybody help me??

Stopping email from the site is a three step process. Before you dismiss this out of hand give it a try. If you still get emails I'll alert a host.
    Go to your profile page.
Select the Notifications tab clear out anything that shows there.
    Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like
    Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Manage Email Notifications
    delete any that show
    that should do it
    regards

  • How do I stop getting email notifications every time someone replies to a post I commented on?

I have changed my settings to "no" for ALL email options in the preferences pane, and am still receiving tons of emails. I commented on an apparently very popular thread a few days ago, and every few hours I get 5-10 new emails that are all just new comments on the thread. It's very annoying since my email chime is constantly going off for garbage.

If it's just the one thread, simple answer is to click the "Stop email notifications" option to the right of the first post. That won't affect other threads and you don't have to wade through all your other notification settings.
