How to stop Frefox from being default browser? The links under tools do not match the answers in other discussions.

I cannot get Firefox to stop being my default browser. I have read other answers online, but the links under the tools do not match, what the other say to click. I tried to go into internet explorer to change it, but the set default button is grayed out and does not work. Help. I cannot update my programs in Firefox.

Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General: System Defaults: "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup"
*Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
*Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.

    We uninstalled obiee and installed it once again for some reason. I placed my repository in correct location, i created the data source with the same name. When i performed global consistency check for my repository it was showing me the warning ,
    Warning: [39028] The features in Database " " do not match the defaults. This can cause query problem.
    Also i'm unable to view data in the repository. But if i create a new connection pool i was able to view the data for that imported datasource alone, but the warning still remains the same.
    I dont know where im going wrong, is there any configuration to be done? How can i set right this
    Need help to solve this issue.

    go to repository
    double click the connection pool name
    go to Features tab..
    click on Reverts to defaults and click OK and now check the consistency check..

  • How to stop files from being locked in Mountain Lion?

    In the last week, I have found several of the files that I have generated or downloaded have become locked.  Since Apple has eliminated the Auto locking feature that use to be in Time Machine.  The files include PDFs, PHGs, TXTs, etc.  How do I stop files from being locked?  How do I unlock the ones that are locked?  I can not emtpy my Trash. 

    When I went to "Get Info" on one of the locked files [a TXT file] per your steps, I noticed that the there was a Locked box checked.  I unchecked that box and was then able to remove the files from Trash without any further action. 
    Do you know why it got locked in the first place since Mountain Lion does not automatically lock files as the older OS X version did?  Do you know how to prevent it from happening again?

    How do I stop QT from opening my IE6 and sending me to the ULR associated with the .mov? It is getting obnoxious, since file that I want to watch opens about three different browser windows... those open several more.

    I hope there is some other solution as that seems like a horrble feature. Perhaps there should be a button to hid cloud content or to only play local content.

  • How to prevent libraries from being default save location

    Scenario:
    Users start IE10 as a published Xenapp Application. From there, they should be able to save pages, etc, but only to a network drive. They have no access to the local computer.
    I've succeeded in removing network, Libraries and favorites from the download-dialog. I've also managed to point it to default save path to a network drive. However, the path field in the save-dialog still shows Libraries\Documents. Thus, they can click
    on Libraries, and browse, and access it that way. Which they will (trust me), just because they can.
    So, why does it insist on referring to Libraries when I've removed all references to them? Anyone have a fix for this?

    Have you ever redirected the Documents library to the network drive， or share this library to the network drive? If you have, then remove the document library, test this issue again.

    Yes, of course(I'm sorry, my last post wasn't so complete as it should be), exactly the same as it was with me... I've solved it at "the long way" (there must be a shorter way, something like an "abort"-way, but I don't know that way...). I've opened an extra account at yahoo (.ca or .com), which is easily to set in Mail (see in your yahoo mail > options). Than I have imported that mail-account into my Mail, so that I can use all the options (also mail>preferences). Than I have set my standard mail-application in the tab "general" into entourage. than it is just load your mail into netscape mail.

  • Stop Illustrator from being default player for Flash .swf files

    Please help. I am on Mac OS X. I have the Adobe CS suite. I
    have downloaded, uninstalled, and reinstalled the flash player.
    However, whenever I download a flash file to play, it automatically
    opens in Illustrator. But Illustrator doesn't recognize it as a
    file so it doesn't open. I went through preferences and I can't
    find anything that will get it to stop doing that. I don't know how
    to get to the preferences for the flash player to change that. And
    there isn't a way have it open up in flash player because the flash
    player is not an actual application that comes up in the
    applications list. There is a certain website that it is mainly
    .swf flash files that I have not been able to access because of
    this problem. What do I do?

    I have an edit in ZXPADU02 that says if you are trying to change IT0167 you will get a POPUP Message telling you we don't want you doing that.   My problem is that I am using PA30 in a BDC session in another program to update IT167 and it is causing the User Exit to trigger the message, which gets an error because it can't display the POPUP.  Is there some way I can have this message NOT be triggered when I use PA30 in a BDC?

    You can one thing. When you are calling PA30 through BDC then you can populate some custom table with some value and in the exit check whether the custom table contains that value. If it contains then you can skip it. Other wise you can put keep some field vale in memory and then read the value from memory in the user exit.  Based on that you can modify your code.

  • Comcast will not accept my spot because the  audio sampling value of 44100 does not match the expected rate of 48000. Any ideas how to fix?

    I am working with Final Cut Pro 10.1.4.  I created a 30 second spot with a music bed.  Comcast is rejecting the spot because the audio sampling rate does not match the actual audio values in the spot.  They expected 48000 and my spot is 44100.  This may be caused because I was forced to change the speed of the audio to work properly in the spot.  The audio was sped up to 101%.  First, is this what caused Comcast to reject and second, is there a way to restore the rate without slowing down the music bed?

    FFirst check your project properties. The default is 48K.

    Go into Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive on the devices that your would not like to get your text messages to.
    Then remove the email addresses that you would not like to be reached on, especially the one that is the same as your Apple ID.
    Just leave the phone number there, and then the text messages should only appear on your iPhone 4s.
