How to stop from asking about Missing Clips?

Whenever I start Premiere Elements 8, it asks me to locate some missing clips (I deleted them from my machine as I no longer need them).
If I choose "skip all", it proceeds into Premiere, but the next time I start up, it asks me again!
How do I stop Premiere from asking me about missing clips?

ATR,
You are 100% correct. From the OP, it was my understanding that these files were not going to be used in this Project. If they really are, then they need to be retrieved (from backup, hopefully), or by re-Capture, as they have been deleted from the HDD.
Your methods should help in the future, if such media files are really still required. Some do not understand that the Project file is NOT a repository for media - it is only an XML database of links and instructions. This ARTICLE goes into more details on that.
If I am incorrect on these deleted files still being required, I do hope that copies of them exist elsewhere, or that a recovery program, like Stellar-Phoenix, can be run, before the HDD space gets overwritten. I hope that I am correct.
Thanks for the warnings and for the instructions on how to handle things, in the event that the files ARE still needed in the Project.
In my exampe above, one can see the Video usage column. In the OP's case, these should be empty, i.e. no numbers present. If they have ANY numbers besides them, they should also appear as Off-Line, and then the OP needs to get those back and in a hurry.
Here's a look at that Video Usage Column:
Good luck to the OP and please let us know exactly what the state of these files is, regarding your Project.

  • How to stop "FROM AROUND THE WEB" and "You May Like" from coming up on each page that I browse

    It is very frustrating when I am on Mozilla looking at various websites and on each page that I go to either "FROM AROUND THE WEB" or "You May Like" come up in the middle of the page with links to other websites that I am not interested in viewing.
    Also when I am shopping on the internet another pop up called Deals, brought by iWebar keeps popping up and also "Deals" by Deal Finder. I did not change any of my settings, I only updated Mozilla Firefox and then all of these things started happening. This is very frustrating and I want to know how to turn this off. I did not sign up for any of these things, and want to be advised on how to remove them.
    Could you please advise how to stop these as I really do not want these options as I am browsing and I will go back to Internet Explorer if this continues to happen. I look forward to hearing from you promptly. Thank you

    Hi Kerri,
    You should always pay attention when installing software because often, a software installer includes optional installs, such as this adware. Be very careful what you agree to install.<br>
    Adware gets on your computer after you have installed a freeware software (video recording/streaming, download-managers or PDF creators) that had bundled into their installation this browser hijacker.
    You can use the below steps to revert back to adware-less Firefox.
    1) <u>Reset Prefs</u>
    *Navigate to '''about:config''' in your Address Bar
    *Press the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button to proceed
    *Search for <b>iWebar</b> and reset all prefs that pull up by right clicking > Reset
    2) Remove any programs that you don't recognize or remember installing from your Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program)
    3) Remove any extensions that you don't recognize or remember installing from Firefox.
    *(Press the menu button ([[Image:new fx menu]] > Add-ons > Extensions)
    4) Download ADW Cleaner to wipe out any remnants of the adware.

  • How to stop Timer event inside movie clip that does not exist?

    Hello. I am using Adobe Flash CS6.
    As this topic title says. how to stop Timer event nside movieclip that does not exist?
    I mean my fla stracture is  there are 2 frames on main timeline, and I put mcA on frame 2.
    And I put a button on root that does
    if(currentFrame ==1)
    gotoAndStop(2);
    else if (currentFrame ==2)
    gotoAndStop(1);
    And mcA has AS inside and it is
    var T_Timer:Timer = new Timer(1000,0)
    T_Timer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, test)
    function test(e:TimerEvent):void{
    trace("Timer active")
    T_Timer.start();
    I need to stop T_TImer from root on frame 1, not on frame 2.
    but, "mcA.T_Timer.stop();" won't work.
    I get TypeError: Error #1010 error.
    I don't know how to stop this timer event. I have to stop it from root, and I can't use EVENT_REMOVED in this case.

    If the object doesn't exist you cannot do anything relative to targeting it.  Maybe you should move the timer to the main timeline where you can access it any time.

  • How to prevent ID Server from complaining about missing plug-ins?

    Hi,
    When opening the document which has some plug-in related data in it, InDesign Server gives an error message (to Event Log) :
    "The document XXX.indd uses one or more plug-ins which are not currently available on your system."
    This can be skipped on desktop InDesign but is there a way to skip this on InDesign Server? It is 64-bit Win InDesign CS6 Server.
    BR, Sirpa

    Found out that you can do this in your desktop plugin (what writes the persistent data to the document) by setting missing plugin warning level to "IgnoreTags".

    In the notification list I can see all my notifications similar to a mail box.
    Eg. If the top most notification is that of Leave of Absence approval and the second one on the list is an appraisal notification.

    the system automatically opens the second one in the list.
    How do I avoid this and the second notification namely the appraisal one as per the example should be openned only if I click on it.

  • How to stop it asking for store login

    I do have an store account but 9/10 times I start iTunes I don't want to log in to the store, but it always asks me twice.  Is there a way to stop this annoyance, short of using another App?

    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
    If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
    Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
              Change Settings for Keychain "login"
    In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
              Keychain Access ▹ Preferences... ▹ First Aid
    There are four checkboxes in the window that opens. Check all of them. if they're not already checked. Close the window.
    Select
              Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
    from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
    If you use iCloud Keychain, open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.

  • IPhone 3G: How to stop from joining unknown networks

    When I first got my iPhone I got to work and a wi-fi network named "Guest" popped up. Being new to things, I clicked on it. Of course nothing worked. I went to a web page and a page popped up asking for a password. I have no idea what the password is, and it's not available to the general public.
    That night, I went home and hooked up to my personal wireless LAN, and the wi-fi works great.
    Problem: If I leave wi-fi on, when I leave the house, the iPhone switches to 3G. As soon as I get to work, the phone connects to the "Guest" network and nothing works. I have to then turn off wi-fi to get things working.
    Question: How do I deselect this "Guest" network so my phone doesn't automatically try to connect to it. I don't mind it asking me, but it no longer asks since I selected it on time. I still want my home network to auto connect without asking, but not this work network.
    Hope someone can help. Thanks.

    Tap the small blue arrow next to "Guest"
    There's a big button at the very top that says "Forget this network"

  • How to stop from having to scroll images to view the full image.

    I'm actually asking this for a friend who needs help and is a bit computer-challenged. She uses FF and when she clicks on images on certain sites to view them, they open up in a window but they are not full sized. They have scroll bars requiring her to scroll to see the entire image. Is there a way to change a setting to correct this?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    You can try to reset the browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing pref to true on the about:config page.
    To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
    You can type '''image''' in the Filter bar at the top of the about:config page.
    If prefs have been changed then they show as bold (user set) and you can reset them to the default value via the right-click context menu.

  • 5230 - How to stop from continuous connecting

    Hey forum!
    Im going to be going on a vacation to another country, and would like to shut
    down my Nokia 5230 from being connected to the internet.
    I have unlimited bandwidth to use in my country, but outside of my country
    I'll have regular roaming prices, which are too high for me.
    I tried disconnecting it, by keeping the red button held. After disconnecting
    it, it automatically started to reconnect.
    Even when Im not using any software on my mobile, I can see that its
    uploading and downloading small packets.
    I put the email service into "offline" so that shouldn't be the problem.
    I want to be able to call so the phones profile "Offline" is not the choice for me.
    Any help,
    thank you!

  • How to reveal from Project window where clip is used on timeline? CS4

    I've inherited a huge project. One of my tasks is to go through replacing all the audio (done as .mp3) and replace with .wav versions. In the project window's bins I have the .mp3 version sitting next to the .wav version.
    I'm sure I've seen a way that you can select a clip in the project window and get Premiere to show where on the timeline and in which sequence(s) this clip is used. I've searched the help and googled for the answer but can't find it! Have I been dreaming? Is there a way to show whereabouts in the project a clip is used? If there isn't, can anyone suggest a good workflow for me? I have about 150 .mp3s to replace with .wavs...
    Thanks
    Mark

    Mark,
    Great news! I thought that it had been added. I too inherited a major Project and could have used that 1000 times. Unfortunately, I am still on PrPro 2.0 (CS4 was not out then), so I had to do it pretty much manually. Fortunately, many of the Assets were in a semi-logical order, so it was not as tough as your case. Also, I was able to place the old edit into logical Sequences, so I was only working with 1 Timeline at a time, and not the original 8+ hour behemoth, that had been started. This limited my searches to maybe 100 Assets at a time.
    Glad that you found it, and now I can look forward to using it, when I upgrade.

    I assume you have tried to deal with the CAPS LOCK key.
    Perhaps a PRAM reset will correct this:
