How to stop logitech mouse wheel from jumping to dashboard

When working with a logitech (Mxxx) mouse, and I press the wheel, it takes me to the dashboard. How can I stop it from doing this? I called Logitech and they told me the issue is not their mouse since it doesn't happen in my windows version I have in the Mac through VMWare. I need to stop it from doing this because I need the press of the wheel to allow me to pan on programs like AutoCAD and others. I went out and bought a different logitech wireless mouse (Mxxx) and it does the same. I have Mac OS 10.8.4. This happens on any program/application I run either in Windows or Mac programs. I went to the properties of the mouse and it only allows me to change the right/left motion of the mouse.

I'm sorry but I don't see any options for Show/Hide Dashboard from your instructions. I'm attaching a screen shot of my system preferences. There is no logitech assigned to anything. I really need to get rid of this, or I won't be able to use it for work.

Hello! HERE and HERE are articles on freeing up disk space. If you've burned cd/dvds and only leave the computer on for short periods then it's likely not having time to clear the temp files. You can use a utility to do the maintenance or leave it on 24/7 for a couple of days. Be sure and empty the trash when you delete items and remember pictures and music take up the most space. tom

I just checked out the activity monitor when FCP was being sluggish. FCP was using only 300mb of real memory, and 1GB of virtual memory, even though there was more or less 1gb of real RAM completely unused. I quit and relaunched FCP, and the sluggishness disappeared. Now it is using 200 odd and 650mb of real and virtual memory respectively, and there's still much the same amount of RAM completely free - this looks like the way FCP genreally behaves, and I have to wonder if the sluggishness has much to do with how much RAM I have - it's not using it all whether it's being sluggish or not. I don't want to spend money on more RAM if I don't need to - is this absolutely definately a RAM issue, seeing as there's still nearly a GB free when it's being sluggish? Or is FCP just using virtual memory when it doesn't have to?
In the manual it says that the memory & cache settings in system settings maintain the performance of FCP by preventing it from using virual memory unneccesarily. It says that limiting the amount of RAM used helps, which seems counterintuitive, the obvious thing would be to turn it up to full. Can anyone tell me the optimum setting for the memory panel in system settings?

In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and facilitate future improvements to Firefox, the option to hide the tab bar was removed.
Fortunately, this can easily be resolved if you desire the keep tabs hidden. You can install "[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/ Hide tab bar with one tab]", an extension hosted on Mozilla's add-ons site, which will restore the ability to hide the tab bar.

With any marquee tool, JUST holding down the option key should not switch tools. You need to explain the problem much more carefully, It's completely impossible to tell from your description whats going wrong.

I looked at your post this morning and did not know enough to respond, other than to find out that links to iListen now go to newer, renamed software. Considering it's been nine hours with no response, I'm suspecting few people here have experience with that software. You could contact the current copmany that used to sell that package and see if they have any archived support info.
BTW: please check you entry for "Mac OS" in your profile. It says iOS, which cannot run on an iMac. iOS is the system for phone and iPads but can't run on Mac computers. Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and see what it says about the OS version. Should look like this:

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.

Logitech mouse wheel stopped working

I had this mouse for a long time. It's a Logitech Cordless Optical mouse connected to a Linksys KVM (I share with 4 different computers). Last week the mouse scroll wheel stooped working. I tried another Logitech mouse (G9) to directly to the USB of my Mac and the mouse wheel scrolls fine.
Now the problem's the old mouse wheel works fine on my other computers. I tried turning the KVM off, resetting the IR unit, and of course rebooting my mac. Nothing worked. The odd thing is, if I connect the old mouse directly to the Mac, it works OK.
I really hate the G9. I'd rather stick with my current mouse, but I need the scroll wheel. Any ideas?

30EA1 /2.*: Mouse-wheel scroll jumps

Hi folks,
Under my XP install, my mouse-wheel jumps the default 3 lines in all programs, so it did in previous sqldev versions.
Yet in 2.1 EA1, it jumps 12 lines!
Can someone from the team acknowledge this behaviour, and if so, log a bug?

FINALLY!
With the arrival of EA2, I reckoned to try to tackle this again.
A fresh install works OK, but with minimal changes to the UI and settings, I'd get double jumps again.
So I narrowed it down to the docking position of the LOG pane; a docking size up to
<SOUTH floatSize="351" dockSize="247">jumps OK, but starting at
<SOUTH floatSize="351" dockSize="246">and lower, I get double jump size on scrolling the worksheet.
I hope my efforts aren't in vain and this gets bugged and fixed by production. I like to minimize the pane all together to have more space, but that makes my scroll jumps pretty unusable. And sacrifying 247 pixels more than I'd like is an even bigger drawback.
