How to stop message pop up's since downloading and installing Lion
I have recently installed Lion on my MACBook and since then a pop up message as below occurs, specifically when opening new documents or searching on line. I have taken a screen picture of the message - can anyone help
You can't, the popups are built into the App as a way of the developer trying too advertise other apps they have.

Just installed Lion 10.7 ... having problems opening Safari and connectivity. Have to reset modem, restart computer, etc. It will be stable for awhile, then next time I log on, have to go through same things. Is there a setting that I need to adjust?
Also, I have already done the 10.7.1 update...come to think of it, the problem seems to have started after the update. Any thoughts?

Since downloading and installing Mavericks and Safari I cannot use the video call in Facebook. Anybody else having this problem and if so is there a solution?
I have this same issue! The button for to launch video chat isn't even there and when I go into skype to video in there I am able to get about 30 second of video then it freezes and won't come back.

Since downloading and installing Yosemite 10.10 on my MacBook Air, using the Internet via Safari on my Hevanet server has become a rather useless effort due to unreasonable slowness and frequent Gmail crashes when I actually do manage to get through to the Internet.
What exactly is crashing?

How can I get my iPod touch to download and install updates to apps?
I am having difficulties with getting updates for my apps to download and install. When requested, I supply my password for my apple ID, and select "update". It immediately jumps to the screen with my icon, and then gives me a status bar and says "waiting" for an unending amount of time.
I have tried power cycling our wireless router and modem, power cycling the iPod, deleting the apps from all locations then syncing the iPod, and reinstalling the apps.
Nothing I try seems to get me out of this never ending cycle of inability to download and install updates.
Any ideas?How are you accessing the mail on the laptop? If you are using a mail client, Outlook, etc, then the mail is being downloaded to the laptop.
If you want to read them on the iPod, then in the account on the iPod, make sure that you turn off delete from server, then after looking at them on the iPod, delete the messages. You will then be able to pick them up on the laptop. Or, as Illaass said, read them with a web client. -
How can I tell if a software has been downloaded AND installed on my ipod? Tried 3 times now.
iTunes will tell you when you sync.

I downloaded and installed the iOS 8 update and now both my iPhone 5 and my iPad Air have become very sluggish. Even when I am on my home wifi or when I'm on cellular data at LTE speed, it takes so much longer than usual to access apps such as Facebook, email, etc. It's very frustrating and I am not happy. Is there a fix coming for this? If not, can you tell me how to restore to the previous version so i can use my devices again?

i have downloaded the large 7z file but cannot get anything to open the file or install it not sure how to do it
there are 2 files, the exe and the 7z. download both to the same directory and click the exe.

I installed v. 3.6.15 on 3/21/2011. Since then Firefox crashes when clicking on random e-mails in my inbox. I am running v. 10.6.7 on my iMac which I installed on 3/29/2011. I am running Java v. 10.6, Update 4, which was installed on 3/10/2011. My Adobe reader was just updated to v. 9.4.3. My iMac desktop is not quite 2 years old. When this problem occurs, everything clears off the screen. I get a message "Firefox quit unexpectedly. When I click on 'Reopen', I get the message: "Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having troubl recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. (Don't know what that means) There are no 'Crash ID(s), because everything disappears from the screen. Could someone send instructions via e-mail on what to do? I am 73 years old and do not know a lot about computers.

How do I get Firefox for Android to download and install?
I had Firefox installed on my Android tablet, an Asus TF300T. I was notified there was an update so I clicked to let in install. I avoid auto updates as I need to use a website that is always a couple of versions behind in compatibility. Well, the update would not download and I tried several times. It just seems to time out (error 495 is reported). I tried uninstalling Firefox to attempt a fresh install. This has worked with other apps that were being difficult when installing updates. Now I still can't get Firefox for Android to complete a download in order to get it installed. What's the deal with this latest version? I'd like to get Firefox back on my tablet but the options are extremely limited and frankly the amount of help on the website is also extremely limited. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you enabled restrictions? Settings> General> Restrictions> Allow Changes. I'm not sure that restricting accounts would have an impact on this because I'm not sure that you can in fact restrict updating the software. In any event, it's worth a look.
Something else that you can try is to reset the iPad and then see if you can enable the download.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

The Lion installer is deleted automatically when you run it.
