How to stop Nitro file converter from altering all Adobe files

I recently wanted to convert a word document to PDF and downloaded a free version of the program Nitro but as the only free part of the downloaded program was to look at it as it then wanted me to purchase the full program before I could use it so I deleted from my computer. But before it finished uninstalling itself it altered all the Adobe files and documents I had on my computer also it now alters the file type of any Adobe file or document sent to me as an email attachment. How can I stop it? would taking the manufacturer to court sort them out? If anyone has any ideas of how to prevent or alter what has happened send to email address [email protected]

To a point what you said to resolve the problem worked but what the Nitro programme did was convert all my Adobe documents and files into a pdf that can only be opened by a Word programme. If I click on the icon which used to be an Adobe file which has now become a form of greyed out Word icon it automatically opens M/S Word but cannot read it as it’s a pdf file.
Do you know of any way I can convert them back to an adobe readable file?

If I wanted to say make a rectangle shape wider, first I would have the layer shape selected in the layers menu, next I would select the white arrow tool, then I would clicking/drag to select certain points on a shape. Once those points were selected I would just use shift and the arrows keys to extend my shape. Now if I attempt to do so with creative cloud photoshop, if there are any other shapes in the same area, the white arrow tool will select all shapes points, which doesnt make sense to me b/c I still just have the "rectangle shape layer selected in the layers menu". Can anyone help me out? Hopefully I explained myself well enough.

If you look at the tool options bar with the Direct Selection Tool (white arrow), do you have Select set to Active Layers?
Have you updated photoshop cc to version 14.2.1?

It sounds as if you downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you did, uninstall it. Then repair Adobe Reader.
The free Acrobat account has no connection to any of this.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and facilitate future improvements to Firefox, the option to hide the tab bar was removed.
Fortunately, this can easily be resolved if you desire the keep tabs hidden. You can install "[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/ Hide tab bar with one tab]", an extension hosted on Mozilla's add-ons site, which will restore the ability to hide the tab bar.

With any marquee tool, JUST holding down the option key should not switch tools. You need to explain the problem much more carefully, It's completely impossible to tell from your description whats going wrong.

I looked at your post this morning and did not know enough to respond, other than to find out that links to iListen now go to newer, renamed software. Considering it's been nine hours with no response, I'm suspecting few people here have experience with that software. You could contact the current copmany that used to sell that package and see if they have any archived support info.
BTW: please check you entry for "Mac OS" in your profile. It says iOS, which cannot run on an iMac. iOS is the system for phone and iPads but can't run on Mac computers. Do "About this Mac" from the Apple menu and see what it says about the OS version. Should look like this:

All images is not a file. It's not a place. It's a list. Specifically, it's the result of an instruction: List all the images on my machine.
When you delete something from All Images, then you have no idea what you're removing from where - files that are part of word processing docs, interface elements, corrupting your iPhoto Library. There are many perfectly legitimate reasons why you might have what appears to be duplicates but are not.
Rule number One: Never delete anything on your machine whose job you don't understand.

How tedious is it to convert from windows to mac?

My windows (sony vaio running XP) is dying. Got the dreaded 3 beeps on start up today...so will be shopping for a new desktop soon.
I have an ipad and iphone that I've owned for about a year now...and I must say I REALLY like them. Have been contemplating going all mac....but EVERYTHING i do on my desktop is obviously windows based. My biggies are quicken....i have files that go back 10 years and all my excel docs. Has anyone recently made the jump from windows to mac...how hard is it really to convert everything over?

Millions have done what you are contemplating, most don't have any issues at all. I f you haven't already go to your local Apple Store and ask your questions and you will get honest replies, I did when I made the switch 7 years ago. I converted from Quicken to iBank which imported my Quicken data extremely easily. As for MS Office, simply get MS Office for Mac and you're set. It's compatible with the Windows version and opening files is the same across platforms.

Also when you get a Mac and turn it on for the first time, one the steps it has is asking if you are migrating from a PC to the Mac. Simply choose yes and follow the on-screen prompts and you're set. You can also Google Migration Assistant for Windows for more detailed info if you want.

I think the iPad forces a different way of thinking. In general, you don't have to save files on the iPad, and that's important. The iPad has complete liberty to quit an app when you want to run a different app, or just because it feels like it. When you restart a good app, things are as they were when it was quit.
Resetting is a possibility, but remember that because of this automatic quit/automatic restart it might happen when you don't want it. A reset BUTTON seems entirely possible.

I've installed Oracle Database 10g XE on my windows xp desktop.When ever my machine is getting starting oracle xe is taking a lot of time for startup.
I would like to disable the oracle xe from my startup , i can start up or stop the db anytime later using the links in start menu.
Can any one let me know how to disable oracle xe from startup.If it was any other normal programs i would have done that from the msconfig program->Startup.
Any suggesstions/solutions would be very helpful.

I have a hunt pilot setup in CCME of 3000 as per below
ephone-hunt 1 sequential
pilot 3000
list 2000789, 2001787
final 2000123
When I go to GK I seee that it has registered as an E.164 how do I negate 3000 from registering with GK?
ON GK we have E164-ID: 3000
There is no "no-reg" option when configuring the ephone-hunt
I have no issues with other CCME E.164 registrations going to GK and If we want to stop them registering we can do no-reg on the ephone-dn's
In summary how do we stop a hunt pilot from registering is it possible?

The option is actually under the ephone-hunt, not directly at pilot, I forgot exactly what it is, but belive it's somthing like this:
pilot 3000
list 2000789, 2001787
final 2000123
no-reg
You might need to reboot the CME after you make this change, somtimes it does not automatically take affect even after doing "no gateway", "gateway" on CME
