How to stop notepad to install shorcuts "destop ini: in my desktop

Note pad keeps installing shortcuts in my desktop that says "destop.ini." When I open them they say "system configuration- notepad " and have this in the note or something like it : system root bla , bla bla : I always delete it and empty the trash bin. But I have dougths that what i'm doing is correct. Please help.

I understand that your desktop computer keeps replicating a "desktop.ini" file after deleting it many times, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since the .ini file is considered an important file on your computer, it is likely that it was made visible by changing a setting in the operating system. To make the "Desktop.ini" file invisible again, please follow the steps in this document on Windows 8 How To: Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives. This should help to guide you to your folder options, and instead of "showing hidden folders and files", please disable this option.

We certainly want you to have a phone that works at all times. You will not be able to stop the software update, but there are a whole slew of great changes on the new software. How to stop display of installed update in AppStore?

I installed the Mavericks 10.9.4 Update a couple of months ago, and it has reappeared in the App Store. I went ahead and reinstalled just in case there was a legitimate issue with my files, but the update continues to appear in the App Store updates section. Rebooting does nothing to change matters. How to shut off this message display?

Using the Terminal script it's no problem to get the Debug menu, but Ctrl-clicking the OSX update panel area doesn't seem to do anything. I don't see any kind of rollover effect there - no HIDE button appearing - the panel isn't activated in any way that I can see. And the UPDATE ALL dropdown menu hasn't altered in any way. Everything behaves in the same manner as before.
I tried clearing cookies and resetting the application in the Debug menu, then restarting the iMac, but see no difference.

Most likely, you have either the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. Both depend on the Java runtime distributed by Apple. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

There's a checkbox BEFORE you download Flash Player, that prevents the download and install of McAfee. Uncheck it and it won't download.

I have tried unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" in the Software Update control panel. Of course, then you have to remember to check manually periodically for security updates etc. So far, the annoying banners seem to have stopped, but maybe just because I have not waited long enough for them to come back.

The license agreement for the DVD version of Logic is different... and only allows for you to install it on two computers (Specifically one desktop and one laptop) In additiont you are supposed to only actually run Logic on one of them at a time and not both at the same time...
So in your instance, you should, according to your license agreement, remove Logic from your older Macbook in order to install it on your new MacBook Pro....
However, if I were you, I would contact Apple to confirm this as there is some discussion as to if this license agreement is still in force or if Logic, once it is updated via the App Store Update routines in Mountain Lion, then is covered by the App Store agreement which allows unlimited installs of Logic Pro on any computer you own...
It's a very grey area... and there is nothing stopping you from installing Logic on all three Macs except for that license agreement as the physical check that used to be present in Logic Pro, to prevent you using it on more than one Mac at a time, was removed a while back... so read into that, what you will.
Again, to be absolutely sure, legally speaking, contact Apple and ask them for guidance... (and if possible get it in writing from them, if they give you the go ahead to install and use Logic Pro on a third computer)

I upgraded from Premiere Elements 9 to 13 at Adobe. Install went without error, but each time I call up the program a window pops up entitled "AdobePremiereElements.exe - No Disk" with the following text within the window: "There is no disk in the device. Please insert a disk into drive \Drive\Harddisk1\DR1." I can eventually get this window to remove after repeated attempts, and the program seems to be running fine. Would appreciate knowing how to stop such nonsense and remove the annoyance. Thanks.

Thanks for the good news that the OldFilm.AEX file is gone and no more No Disc error message.
To update 13 to 13.1, you need to use an opened project's Help Menu/Updates.
Have you done that, and the message was that you were up to date already?
To check what version you have
Premiere Elements Editor. Help Menu/About Adobe Premiere Elements. The screen that then displays should show 13.1 if updated from 13 to 13.1.
That Help Menu/Updates location should let you take are of the Elements Organizer updating from 13 to 13.1.
Nonetheless, you can check on Elements Organizer Help Menu/Adobe Elements Organizer to assure that the screen that displays shows 13.1 instead of 13.

How to stop irritating auto-reloading of the tabs (pages) [i don't have any extensions or apps]

Seems like this problem appeared quite often, nevertheless i spent an hour in search of an answer surfing the net, alas, nothing..
Problem: since today Safari started to reload almost every single page whenever i switch between tabs or sometimes even while im stil on the page. Fot example - i'm watching a movie, stoped it - switched to facebook tab to reply to my friend, then back to the tab with the video & no sooner i get back as the page with video auto-refreshes itself & i have to load movie again & look for the place i stoped watching the video to continue!
Device & program version: Macbook Pro, bought in july, Safari Version 5.1 (6534.50), No extensions or apps installed, & pls dont' say that it happens on particular pages, i visited the same ones yesterday & everything was ok, since today it's working all weird, and happens within all pages. But in the same time no system - once it reloads the page, other time im switching between the same very tabs it doesn't.
This is unacceptable & completely useless. Why there are no comments from Apple or Safari team, as if the problem doesnt exist? Not speaking of the problem solving process or tips.
Please, if someone knows how to stop this nightmare - tell me!!
Apple-team, I would love to hear your comments & in fact receive some help and get this problem fixed.. :\

Before posting this message now (July/2014) I've searched for related posts here. I found one from 2009, whose author got a solution through an answer only in 2012 (pasted bellow). I have the same problem: I'd like to stop the invasive alert messages from HP Solution Center without uninstalling the software, which is very good, but for these annoying stupid messages. I say stupid messages, because everytime I seat in front of my desktop it insists telling me, for example, that I have a problem: the language in my HP printer doesn't match the language in my computer. But this is not a problem, it is my personal option! Anyway, HP Solution Center keeps poping up everytime I awake my screen and this is really annoying, even it its messages were accurate. HOW TO STOP THEM? As I said, the solution found here in the forum after 3 years (2009-2012) doesn't work for me, because there is no "status messages" in my "device settings" (Windows 7), so I could turn them off. I'd appreciate any help!

First Click START>CONTROL PANEL>PRINTERFAX>
Select Your Printer And Go to Properties
Click Device Setting > Select Status Message OFF Option
Press APPLY And Ok
Reset Your Computer

I see you are recieving false errors. I would like to assist.
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.
