How to stop / Prevent Flash Decompliers?

What are the options to stop or prevent flash decompliers?
Thanks in advance J

Also, if you're really that worried about it, you shouldn't
put everything into one SWF file. Create a loader SWF which loads
images and components from multiple SWF files on your server. They
can still download those and decompile, but it just makes it more
of a hassle.
I tend to agree with rritchey. If you've done something
wonderful and groundbreaking, share it. Imagine if Galileo and
Einstein didn't share their formulas, where would human knowledge
be?
Finally, you also have to trust in professional integrity.
Any real professional is not going to outright steal your code or
images. They might decompile it to learn something new, but that's
all. A thief will steal no matter how many locks you put on the
door.

The Skyfire browser is the best solution I have found, so far. It's a browser that converts the videos on the fly. It doesn't work for other types of flash (games, ads, etc) but it does a good job with videos.

I see your location is UK, I'm not sure if the app is available in the UK.

  • How To Stop Adobe Flash Player 11.5 Repeatedly Installing?

Suddenly, everytime I visit a web page with a Flash video on it Adobe Flash Player 11.5 automatically downloads and re-installs.
I have IE9 (default web browser for main use) and Google Chrome installed.
    Can anyone help?

I've heard at least one report that this might be caused by a Flash ad that was requesting a version of Flash Player that didn't exist.  Could you try clearing your browser and Flash Player cache to see if this still occurs?
How do I clear my Flash Player cache and settings?
We've been trying to discover what version of the installer is being run when this occurs.  Would you be willing to take a short video of this occurring so we can see what's happening?
Finally, could you post the contents of your flashinstall.log file for us to review?
Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows?
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • How to stop Adobe flash Player from automatically opening when I start google browser

Whenever I open any google browsers i.e. Chrome or google, the Adobe flash player automatically starts.  I want to know is there any settings I can unclick that will stop it from opening automatically.  I want to have the control of when to start flash player.

Having just solved this irritating issue, two steps are required to stop Chrome running audio or video automatically, but still allow it to run on request:
1 Go to chrome://plugins/ and uncheck the 'Always allowed' box for the offending plug-ins - Adobe Flashplayer, Quicktime etc
2 Go to chrome://settings/content, scroll to the Plug-ins section and change the default 'Run automatically (recommended)' to 'Click to play'
Now when you open a page with audio or video content, it'll be greyed-out with a jigsaw icon, which you can click to run.

  • Help with privacy on my mac, how to stop prevent people im certain are...

certain individuals are tampering with my comp. and releasing my personal info and its been going on awhile, i just dont know deep into depth with mac how to prevent this, iv noticed when i change a password and think its ok then they will just reset it to no password (mac mail) i believe it has to do with my ip dns proxy settings etc. as im not sure exactly how these should be set up so its only me using my connection, i know also they are in my building that are sharing it, it would be easier if i lived alone lol i know there is a way around this please help! also i have the latest software snow leopard

You're a bit vague on the symptoms of the problem, but there are a few things you should know.
First, if you're using a wireless network, make sure it has WPA encryption (not WEP, and don't even think about no password in your situation!), and make sure that it's protected with a good password. Make it something with a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers and even some punctuation. If your wireless network is not protected, there's a lot of data that can be mined from your everyday network traffic by someone nearby who can get access to your network.
Second, does anyone you don't trust have physical access to the machine? If so, you need to run a super-paranoid anti-virus scan. I do not ordinarily recommend [MacScan|http://macscan.securemac.com>, because its paranoid beyond all belief and throws up red flags at some perfectly legit software... but if someone has installed some kind of keylogger or remote access software (something that isn't necessarily classifiable as malware, but is being used for malicious ends), MacScan will probably find it. For the truly paranoid, erasing the hard drive and reinstalling the system from scratch may be a good idea. (Whether this is a good idea or qualifies you for the tin-foil-hat club depends on the maliciousness and technical sophistication of the individual(s) with access to your machine.)
You should also, if someone untrusted has physical access, make sure you use a good password on your admin account and never leave yourself logged in while the machine is unattended. If you come back and your password doesn't work, that person has probably reset your password, and you should immediately consider the machine compromised again. And you should probably encrypt any sensitive data, since an account password can be easily reset and provides no real protection.
Third, make sure that you go to System Preferences -> Sharing and turn everything off. That will ensure there are no doors open for remote attackers.
Finally, with such vague information as you've provided, it's possible the behavior you're seeing may not even involve your Mac at all. If only your online accounts are being compromised, perhaps they have been hacked, and you just need to change the passwords on all of them to something more secure.

  • How do I prevent flash videos from automatically playing?

Whenever I open a new link to youtube, collegehumor, various tv websites, etc. firefox always automatically starts playing the video even before i even look at that tab. Sometimes when firefox freezes I have a few video tabs open and when it starts back up, a few videos start playing at once.
Is there a way to turn this off? I'd like to manually control when these videos play.

  • How to stop Flash Screen?

    Hello!!
I have a JSP page which has iFrame.
<iframe src="test.jsp" name="printframe" width="0%" height="0%" onLoad="abc();" > </iframe>I am generating PDF content in the iFrame and I am able to do that successfully.
But the problem is, whenever I generate PDF content in page, Flash Screen of Adobe Acrobat Reader appears.
How to stop that Flash Screen?
    Reg,
    Chetan Parekh

You write a nice letter to Adobe and you say:
"Please, would you remove your splash screen so that when I load my PDF file, the user doesn't know it's really using your software. I realize that you provide this PDF reader software free of charge to anyone who wants it, and that I have no right to ask you to hide your identity from the users of said software, but please please please please please?!?"
I'm sure they'll listen and release a new version just for you.
    <%
    response.setSarcasm(false);
    %>
In other words, you can't, and you shouldn't be able to so just forget about it. It only shows the first time a PDF file is loaded in the browser session anyway.

I stopped using iCloud after another family member received all my contacts. Now I want to restart using iCloud. How do I prevent this happening again? We share the same Apple id password and credit card but different usernames.

If two of you shared the same contacts you were logged in with the same Apple ID. In order to avoid this you need to use different Apple IDs, and be using separate Macs or separate user accounts on the same Mac.
One or other of you should create a new Apple ID at http://appleid.apple.com for which you will need a non-Apple email address which hasn't been associated with another Apple ID.

How do i prevent this from happening? I have looked in system prefereces....maybe i am over looking something, Thanks

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> General -> Connecting Camera opens.... And select your preferred app.
You can also make the same choice in the Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) and Aperture preferences.

  • Adobe Flash Player saves large numbers of empty "fap" files to my Firefox and Temp folders. How can I prevent this?

Whenever I go to pages where the Adobe Flash Player "plugin-container.exe" runs "FlashPlayerPlugin_xx_x_xxx_xx.exe" (x's being version number), it causes hundreds of empty "fap" files to save to my Firefox and C:\Windows\Temp folders. How can I prevent this?
    Thanks!

Hey, that's great! Thanks for posting back that disabling protected mode in Flash solved the problem.

  • How to stop flash player showing errors?

Hi, does anyone know how to stop flash player showing runtime
errors? Is there some configuration option, or is it possible to
write a global error handler which would catch all the uncaught
exceptions so they don't get displayed to the users?
In my specific situation I've got 3rd party panorama
component in my flash site which creates some timers and listeners
but doesn't remove them when panorama is unloaded and then errors
keep showing periodically. Nothing else gets harmed and the site
keeps running normally, so it would be useful to just hide those
errors before a new version of the buggy component is released.
Thanks for any hint how to handle this !
