How to stop/start SAP XI Message flow in controlled way?

Hi All,
I am facing a scenario where for maintenance activity I need to stop all message flow in XI, system should be up and running but no message should processed by XI. I also don't want to shut down system.
Is there any way by which I can stop message coming to XI?
I don't want to deactivate communication channel..

Hi,
maybe (just an idea) you can try to deregister all queues?
raport : RSXMB_REGISTER_QUEUES
then all the queues should stop but I haven't checked it
so you'd have to do some tests and find out if this
does not have any other negative impact of some other
XI processes

Wiping my phone, restoring from backup, AND wiping all iTunes related files (from a search in Library and in Music) seems to have stopped this behavior.
(I couldn't wipe the iTunes files on the machine with my media and apps, but I did so on the other machine--where I only sync contacts, calendars and bookmarks. My iTunes library is empty there anyway.)
I don't know if this relates to an "app synching" issue that iTunes 9.0.1 fixed. Could be.

Before posting this message now (July/2014) I've searched for related posts here. I found one from 2009, whose author got a solution through an answer only in 2012 (pasted bellow). I have the same problem: I'd like to stop the invasive alert messages from HP Solution Center without uninstalling the software, which is very good, but for these annoying stupid messages. I say stupid messages, because everytime I seat in front of my desktop it insists telling me, for example, that I have a problem: the language in my HP printer doesn't match the language in my computer. But this is not a problem, it is my personal option! Anyway, HP Solution Center keeps poping up everytime I awake my screen and this is really annoying, even it its messages were accurate. HOW TO STOP THEM? As I said, the solution found here in the forum after 3 years (2009-2012) doesn't work for me, because there is no "status messages" in my "device settings" (Windows 7), so I could turn them off. I'd appreciate any help!

Hi, Friend I have solution how to stop HP Annoying Status Alert .
WIndows 7
First Click START>CONTROL PANEL>PRINTERFAX>
Select Your Printer And Go to Properties
Click Device Setting > Select Status Message OFF Option
Press APPLY And Ok
Reset Your Computer

I see you are recieving false errors. I would like to assist.
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Hi, I am using weblogic 6.1 to communicate with IBM MQseries foreign
queue. I use the asychronous way "onMessage()"(properly the only
known way) to listen the messages from the queue. I like to stop
receiving messages if my south bound stream has problems and not able
to process the message, I would like to stop fetching the message with
my MDB(message driven bean) untill the down stream problem is cleared.
As weblogic uses container to create the multiple session and
connections internally, how can I efficiently stop the message

Stopping/Starting SAP Systems on System i

Hello,
Currently we are stopping/starting our SAP systems that run on our i5/OS weekly. I'm just curious if anyone else has any recommendations of if this is a good practice or even necessary. This was started about 5 years ago with our R/3 system just to clear out buffers and logs. Since then we have implemented a wide variety of other SAP systems, CRM, Solution Manager, XI/PI, NW04 system, etc...
I'm just wondering if stopping/starting our production systems on a weekly basis is a good practice or is it not necessary.

most customers are doing like you, but:
We do have several customers, that leave it up for months and wit new products like portal or PI it should stay up - and then you should change R3 as well ....

How to stop/start listener

Hi Everyone,
I am new in Oracle!
I have oracle 11g installed on my windows system. I am trying to start/stop listener from em web console but it is not working.
The system is asking for username and password, I am typing my own (which is DBA) or even SYS .... and it still unsuccessful...it is saying :
Error: Invalid username and/or password
Please, help!
How can I do that from em console
P.S. Before I was using 10g version and it was OK, I was able to start/stop listener from em web console using SYS or my username.

If you want to perform OS related tasks from the enterprise manager, such as starting/stopping services or performing backup/recover, export/import, sqlldr, etc. you are required to provide an OS username and password, this password should be stored at the preferred credentials, and this user must have the 'log on as a batch job' , otherwise Enterprise Manager will keep on asking for a username/password.
This is also a symptom of a missconfigured Enterprise manager, but before diagnosing this situation, verify at the preferred credentials section that your user's credentials are properly tested, validated and stored, if this is the case, then look for the logs found at the ORACLE_HOME\hostname_sid\log directory and find out if another error message is displayed there.

Whenever I send a message in Mail under Lion, I get a dialog box that says it cannot send the email because I haven't chosen a preferred server for my account. That's not true. For each account, I've checked the box that says "Use Only This Server." The message composition window doesn't have a place to choose an outgoing server, as previous Mail versions did, so it should just take the one that goes with the email address that's the account sending the thing, but it doesn't. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can stop this from happening? Thanks.

Mail>Preferences>Accounts. Make sure the Outgoing server is as your ISP wants it to be.

I have an animated gif that I want to use for when I'm waiting on a long operation (like the upper right icon on Netscape). The gif starts its animation without me telling it. I was doing some code like this:
ImageIcon icon = ...
JLabel label = new JLabel( icon );
icon.setImageObserver( label );
I assumed if I removed the setImageObserver() call then it wouldn't stop it. But, it didn't so I tried:
icon.setImageObserver( null );
But, that didn't have any effect. I want to start and stop this animation as I begin and end long operations how do I do this without using a Timer() and painting it myself.

How to stop Link syncing voice messages?

Is there a way to stop BB Link syncing voice messages to my PC?
In Link, the only media I am syncing is Music and I am doing that by specifically selecting by genre. I do have Music as a genre is set to sync in that list. My voice AAC files don't appear to have any genre set so why are they being sync'd too?

How to stop images embedding in message when I forward to other recipients

I have looked long and hard in this forum but can't see others having the same problem or a solution to this problem so I think it must be unique to me.
When I receive an email that contains any type of image format and then I try to forward the message to others the recipients on the other end claim it is embedding the image into the content of the email and can't be downloaded. Before I send the email I am careful it is showing as an attachment. I've even tried to delete the attachments and reattach them to avoid this and still it is ending up embedded on the other end. This only happens when I forward an email- this doesn't happen when I create a new email.
I have read others having this problem and claiming it has something to do with Apple and how Mail creates HTML- but it impairs me completely in my work process when I need to forward an image. Any suggestions out there?

I failed to mention the best way to forward messages without embedding the images in the new forwarded copy is to +create a new message+ and attach the email message to the new email message. It comes across great but my problem of doing this or what was just suggested takes away the simplicity of just clicking forward and have everything sent properly. Too many steps....

We are in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1.
In webui, if we search for any customer, product, contact, transactions and the volume of results list is more, system takes more time to diplay it in results list and till that time wheel spins. If user decides to stop the search, the only option they have is logoff or F5 which will take to new session.
But I came to know in EHP1, options are there to stop the search manually and proceed with other transactions/search in the same session.If any one knows this, pl share the details.
