Ok my iphone 4 16g is totally full & there is almost 6g of photos. The problem seems to be with a folder titled "Photo Library" which has a double of every single photo already on the phone.
How can I un-sync this folder so I can free up a ton of space?The photos in Photo Library are not duplicates of the photos in the albums (folders) synced from your phone to your computer. The actual photos are in Photo Library; the albums only contain links to the photos in Photo Library. The same is true for Camera Roll. It doesn't contain duplicates of any albums you create on your phone either. The actual photos are in Camera Roll and the albums only contain links to these photos.
If you want to import the photos from Camera Roll to your computer and then delete them from your phone, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Syncing your phone doesn't touch the Camera Roll, except to include any photos there in the iPhone backup that is created/updated when you sync. -
How do I get my entire photo stream to my new iPad. I use my ICloud and some of them showed up but most if them did not. I am trying to sync the photos from my phone to an iPad 1 and iPad mini.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device. -

The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats. -

Yes, you do need iPhoto, or at least for the following: Plug it into the computer with the USB plug you get with it, and iTunes will automatically open. It doesn't matter if you keep it open or not, because you'll import them to iPhoto. When you open iPhoto, it will automatically go to your iPhone's inventory of photos. Choose a photo that you wish to import (or click import all), type in the titile, and click import. A pop-up message will come up that asks if yu want to keep originals. Click yes, and viola. Your photos are on your computer! Hope this helps.

How to stop using Adobe Photo Album Starter upon Sync
Two questions:
1. How do I stop the stupid Adobe Photo Album Start program from running every time I connect my phone? It takes forever to get up to speed, and now that I have over 1100 photos on the phone it always crashes.
2. Doesn't iTunes allow me to sync the photos to my hard drive? I'd rather they just get backed up in a folder and be done with it.

MikPhotos are in a special area on the phone that acts like any other digital camera (thus you don't sync them with iTunes).
You take them off via what ever default software you have for digital camera (appears to be that Adobe software).
Next time you connect....once done doing it's thing, go to My Computer. You should see the iPhone listed as a Camera/Scanner. RIGHT click on it and choose properties. On the next window there is a tab about Events or something like that. Choose it. There it lists what to do when it detects it connecting. Change it to Ask or whatever. From there on out, you will find it easier to use the built in Camera Wizard to just get photos off (or choose do nothing and then you can browse to it like a folder from the same location off My Computer and just copy them off) -

This is our resident iPhoto guru, Terence Devlin's, advice:
You can move your iPhoto Library to an external disk:
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space. -
How do I get the photos sync'd to the iPhone appear in a Specific order?
I have photos in a folder on my 15" (Retina) mac Book Pro and sync the photos to my iPhone 5s. All devices are running latest OS. But the photos do not appear on the phone in a sort pattern I can determine. They are not sorted by Date created, date modified, or date added to the folder or the phone.
Anyone?I was only able to accomplish a specific order on the phone by naming them alphabetically in iPhoto before I synced them to the phone. I prefixed the names with Aa, Ab, Ba, Bb, etc and I only did this for one Event in iPhoto that had 16 photos that I needed in a specific order on the phone.

Do you normally sync to a computer? I ended up in the same boat when I'd synced some photos on, then got a new computer and forgot to remove the photos. What I had to do was set up to sync an empty folder on my new computer, which basically erased the old photos, replaced them with the nothing that was in the new folder.

I am trying to sync photos from my laptop to iPAD using iTunes.
The iPAD has iOS 5.1.1.
When i sync photos it's ok, but again when i try to sync photos from another folder in my laptop, the previous photos in my iPAD gets overwritten.

How can I sync specific photos from folders instead of syncing the whole folder to my iPad?(1 gen)
So I recently synced a few folders from my PC to my iPad 1 and there was a few photos I did not want on my iPad, so when I tapped the photo, the trash button wasn't there. I looked up why that was happening and discovered it was because synced photos can't be deleted from the photo library. So I ask my question, how can I sync specific photos from folders instead of the whole folder? from iTunes to my iPad. If there is not a way for me to sync specific photos from folders, how can I delete the photos I don't want from my iPad?
As King_Penguin has already explained, this isn't possible with the stock Photos app.
As far as photo syncing is concerned, I also recommend PhotoSync, which is an excellent photo (and video!) synchronization tool, should you want to stick with the stock Photos app on the iPad. Should you want something better (Photos is a pretty limited app without sorting, EXIF displaying etc. capabilities and with HUGE storage usage), you'll need to take a look at third-party apps. I too recommend Photo Manager Pro, it's IMHO the best tool. Same way they got on your phone, through the iTunes sync process. With your phone connected, iTunes running, under the "Photos" tab, deselect the albums/folders/photos you do not want on your phone. Hit the "Apply/Sync" button & they will be removed from your phone.
