You can use signals with DBMS_ALERT to "wake up" a procedure.
Procedure A is something like this:
DBMS_ALERT.REGISTER('B_FINISHED');
do logic...
when finished - send a signal
DBMS_ALERT.SIGNAL('A_FINISHED','B you can start');
now wait until B is finished
DBMS_ALERT.WAITANY(...)
continue logic hereAnd Procedure B is
DBMS_ALERT.REGISTER('A_FINISHED');
wait for a to finish
DBMS_ALERT.WAITANY(...);
do logic...
when finished, signal A it can continue
DBMS_ALERT.SIGNAL('B_FINISHED','A can continue');This is useful if u they need to wait for each other within the code. if they just need to wait - call B from A.

How to stop the program for a while?

I've created a small prog that the only thing it does is to ask for a given password before granting access to certain data. It works fine on the WTK emulator (from Sun of course), but it crashes on a Nokia 6600 due to a bug in the Nokia's MIDP2.0 implementation. Now I need to trace/find the exact point of the program where it crashes (in the mobile phone - where the app gets closed). MY PROBLEM is that I need to insert into the program some kinda code that stops for a while the program saying "I am at the Nth step and running fine", but I can't stop the program from executing, because I can't find out how, I've tried the
display.setCurrent( someAlert );but it doesn't seem to stop the program like it would in an HTML JavaScript page. And:
Thread.currentThread().sleep( 2000 );doesn't stop for some reason the program either..
Can anyone give me a tip or a workaround of how I can temporarily stop the prog? Please help

Try putting the current thread to sleep right after setting the alert:

How to 'Stop the Clock' for SLA when in customer action?

Does anyone know if the functionality exists so that when a support message goes into 'customer action' or 'solution proposed' status the SLA stops counting down until the message is put back into 'in process'?
The SLA is out of your control when it is waiting for an action from the user so it should be possible for the clock to stop on the SLA automatically when this is the case and the SLA should re-start and re-calculate the new 'completion by' date.
I know that this is standard in many other types of Helpdesk software but can't find the way to do this with Service Desk. Can anyone help?
We are on SM7 SP22.

How to stop the "renew cloud subscription"

I cancelled my Cloud membership a couple of months ago, when I purchased the Master suite. I haven't uninstalled the Cloud downloads yet, which I'm sure is the problem. Do I need to uninstall all of the softwares now and reinstall the purchased one's again, or can I just uninstall the Cloud software and be cool?
I've also gotten an error message when opening up Illustrator, saying that I need to rt click the .exe file so that it can be repaired, not sure what the heck that means but it's happened everytime I've opened that software since I bought it and it's a little disturbing, do you thing that doing the above will correct that issue?

Yeah but I wouldn't be surprised if some new features for cloud users are held back and happen soon after the release and are chalked up to Adobe had to make a cut off for distribution (how it normally goes), so the cloud members feel like they are getting more and the perpetual users are again left to ponder the cloud. Had your thread been something about a feature not working properly since illustrator CS2, or missing since AI8, it would more than likely went unnoticed by Adobe, even if submitted officially via the aptly named "wishform" (Appropriate name as thats what most of it ends up being, hopes and wishes that go unfulfilled or are fulfilled 14 years later like the Package Files feature). New features (regardless of however half backed they are) and marketing thats what make money, while missing features, and unfulfilled proper implementation of features, well they are just what they are for the most part, a dying request and or thread.
Cloud threads are of top echelon importance! I am however ready for some cloud dissipation actually and more sunshine being shed on long time perpetual license owners, not just the thought of a cloudy future, but rather some better attention to regular owners. Sadly as the weather people go, these requests and interests are much like weather forecasts, entirely inaccurate, or even worse being held in secrecy hoping we move on to cloudy days. Bring back the sunshine Adobe.

We create BP with role prospect in CRM, once the prospect is ready to buy the product we conver the prospet in to customer and thesame customer is replicated in R/3 fro sales.
What i am looking at is for the customer we created in CRM if we change any data that should be updated in r/3..it may be nay like name address ...language....etc.....
can u help me out...as u told me to unassig/delete the subcription:All Business partner(MESG) under that we have --

I took this problem to a genius. He removed the SIM card and added a new "blank" card from AT&T. Using this SIM we went to setting an turned cellular data off. This is the iPhone forum, you should check the Quicktime forum. But, to try and help a little, I would say go to Help, About Quicktime and it should tell you what version it is. Also, Quicktime Pro does have a cost involved.

Am i the only one who when trying to enter the code for creative cloud activation ?

I give up,i have been trying to activate a 3 month subscription for CS6 from Staples and every time i try the code it will not work. I have used the chat live and spent about 3 hours already going nowhere. I do not like talking on the phone to some help desk overseas and the only thing i think left to do is to return the junk.

I tried all that and even took a picture of the numbers and blew them up so a blind person could read them and had 3 others read them off. A simple way to fix the problem is get someone on Adobes staff to find a font that most people can read from whatever product the stick it to.

Hey John,
Not sure if it helps or not, but I know sometimes with codes like that its really hard to tell certain characters apart, O - like in Oscar versus 0 - number and number 1 versus lowercase L like in Lima.
Might test entering it both ways if you have any suspect characters?
