How to stop the creation of Downloads directory in My Documents

There was a thread on this topic, which, AFAICT, was erroneously marked "solved." We all know how to change the default download setting, via tools --> options --> general -->. The problem is, regardless of where one designates one's downloads, a Downloads folder is still created in My Documents every time we start up Firefox. I don't want this folder to be created. How can I stop it?

Windows ''may'' be recreating this. I always download to the deasktop but on both my XP and Vista computers I have that directory, though I've never used it, and have deleted it on both systems. (It was on the XP system even before I installed Firefox.)

I will delete /home and upon reboot it will return.
I do not use /home and do not like standard user hierarchy and am tired of looking at the empty folder every startup.

Yeah, the /home folder is empty because I do not use it and no users $HOME are pointing there. I also have my XDG settings pointing elsewhere, so that can't be it.
When I get home I'll try modifying the useradd file but not sure if that will do it. Although, I wonder if it's reading from another system login type file that defaults to /home..
or perhaps it's just creating a standard filesystem hierarchy. Hmm!!
I would resort to deleting it with a script at boot-up but since I don't use /home and it doesn't have a separate partition it writes to my / partition which is a Solid State Drive.
I know having it created and deleted at each boot may seem trivial but I like to avoid unnecessary writes/deletes on the SSD no matter how insignificant it may seem.
Also, I just really want to find out where this is coming from. I do my best to know what my setup is doing and hate not knowing why something keeps happening.
So, I'm still probing to where the creation stems from. I wish there was some system monitor or journalctl would tell me more specifically what systemd is doing. Maybe I'll delete it and check timestamps and match against systemd service files being ran? May take some time but at least it's something to try.

How do I stop the ipad from "vocalising" a word when I'm typing it in documents? Before I've finished typing the word, a "guess" appears beneath in blue with an "x" next to it, and the ipad then speaks the word? (that's the only way I can describe it).
If I then select the word- which I assumed was the correct response-it just goes away?
Can anyone tell me what this is, and what's it trying to do???

All the code is executing in the GUI event Thread. Some methods add code to the end of the event Thread, so the code may not execute in the order you expect. I made the following changes to you example which appear to get rid of the flicker:

Does anyone know how to stop the iphoto upload/download as my broadband gets killed everytime I add photos to my mac.
Let me explain that I have a 6-8 MB down link but my uplink is only 0.2Mb really slow. So when I quit iphoto I can't play any online games for ages as Photostream is taking up my complete band width. Mainly due to the fact that it is also downloading the photos to my iPad and my wifes iPhone I just imported the photos off those two devices but photostream wants to put a second copy on the device. argh
please give me better control I want to upload the photos (shared library) to photostream but only when the iPhoto app is open so I have the choice of when my bandwidth is used. either that or make the upload only happen with the device is switch off / not used so if I open a network game the bandwidth is freed until the game is closed.

I think your problems were solvable and not that the Sonnet card and 5,1 is not bootable, in fact the 5,1 is easier, there are more supported cards.
I have the 1,1 where the Sonnet Pro is recommended but for data only and are not bootable because of the 32-bit EFI firmware. NOT the 4,1 and 5,1. The 2008's are problem child and have a mix of PCIe 1.1 slots, first implementation of EFI64 that also has problems. Also the 4,1 has two PCIe 2.x slots 3 and 4 that share a controller but that simply limits bandwidth.
I would have left the TRIM support and NVRAM changes in Yosemite to a separate thread if you wanted to focus on the Sonnet Tempo Pro support in Mac Pro 2010-12 5,1s.
Also the make of SSD can vary and they also have their own firmware as do bootable controllers along with the EFI of the Mac, all of which have to work together. Meaning it might be that Samsung 840 va 840 EVO vs 840 Pro will all be slightly different but my experience is Samsungs work well (as do others like Crucial with the proper firmware - and there was/is an issue with the firmware of the Samsung 840 but not with booting).
The PCIe card gets seen and treated as external and therefore 'eject' but of course you can't when it is the system boot drive.
One thing I found last week and meant to mention: After installing or changing PCIe cards, RESET SMC made all the difference in the world with the long boot delay. Some PCIe cards will add a few seconds, system has to search the device tree which now shows another controller with multiple devices - and sometimes NVRAM and SMC are what I will call "dirty" and need to be rebuilt and reset.

How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor?

Hello Experts,
We have following scenario for breakdown maintenance activities.
When a machine breaks down, a breakdown order is created in SAP. The external manintenance services are planned in the order. When the order is released, a single PR (with multiple item numbers corresponding to number of services) is created by SAP. The PR has a release strategy. When PR is released, PO is created followed by the SES.
The practice followed AS -IS for breakdown outside business hours:- If the breakdown happens outside business working hours, the person releasing the PRs is not available & hence PR can not be released resulting in no PO & no subsequent SES.
In this case, the maintenance is completed by the external agency & the work order is TECO. The next day, TECO is reveresed, new PR is created, released, converted into PO, & then SES.
TO-BE process:- Client expects that, for certain vendors identified, PR should not get created at all from the breakdown order. (The list of vendors will be maintained seperately). For these vendors, a framework order will be created at the start of fiscal year & SES will be created as & when required agaainst the framework order.
My concern is :- How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor? OR delete the created PR?

As we know Vendor selection comes at a later stage only after your PR creation, approval & RFQ etc. & PR generation from maintaine. order is controllled through control key PM03. While triggering PR from order you have to specify Material group, Purchase group and vendor. Try to control it through authorisation as all these are authorisation objects. The persons executing breakdown order shall no t be given this authoriations

Well Thank you for everyone's help. I contacted the service provider, who uses google to support their email. If anyone else has this problem....with google supported email here is the solution.
Go to your email account
click settings
click "settings" (again) under the settings button
click "forwarding and POP/IMAP"
under POP download click "enable POP for mail that arrives from now on"
save changes
Then go to your iphone
erase your email account
re-install your email account
now only new emails should show up on your phone, all your past emails will be saved at the server.

I cancelled my Cloud membership a couple of months ago, when I purchased the Master suite. I haven't uninstalled the Cloud downloads yet, which I'm sure is the problem. Do I need to uninstall all of the softwares now and reinstall the purchased one's again, or can I just uninstall the Cloud software and be cool?
I've also gotten an error message when opening up Illustrator, saying that I need to rt click the .exe file so that it can be repaired, not sure what the heck that means but it's happened everytime I've opened that software since I bought it and it's a little disturbing, do you thing that doing the above will correct that issue?

Yeah but I wouldn't be surprised if some new features for cloud users are held back and happen soon after the release and are chalked up to Adobe had to make a cut off for distribution (how it normally goes), so the cloud members feel like they are getting more and the perpetual users are again left to ponder the cloud. I am however ready for some cloud dissipation actually and more sunshine being shed on long time perpetual license owners, not just the thought of a cloudy future, but rather some better attention to regular owners. Sadly as the weather people go, these requests and interests are much like weather forecasts, entirely inaccurate, or even worse being held in secrecy hoping we move on to cloudy days. Bring back the sunshine Adobe.

Hi. I'm trying to block the creation of a Sales Order that doesn't have a linked Purchase Order. The first thing I did is using the SBO Transaction Notification as follows:

This works good. I create the Sales Order, I tick the purchase order field on the logistics tab, I click Add, and then the purchase order window appears...
Then, the problem begins... If I click the Cancel button, the purchase order is obviously not created, but the Sales Order is created.
Can someone tell me how to block the creation of the sales order If the user press the cancel button on the purchase order window (and the purchase order is not created)
As far as I can see, after clicking the add button in the sales order document, the Sales Order is created on the DB. If there's no way of blocking the creation of the Sales Order, can I avoid closing the purchase order window by the SBO_TransactionNotification? (if the purchase order has not been created)

I think you can't close the purchase order with the stored procedure.
Try to catch the Event when the user click on Cancel button.

You can block the cancel button and force the user to create the purchase order.

We create BP with role prospect in CRM, once the prospect is ready to buy the product we conver the prospet in to customer and thesame customer is replicated in R/3 fro sales.
What i am looking at is for the customer we created in CRM if we change any data that should be updated in r/3..it may be nay like name address ...language....etc.....
can u help me out...as u told me to unassig/delete the subcription:All Business partner(MESG) under that we have --
