How to stop the option key from changing my tools when I am trying to subtract from a selection?
I'm running CS3 on Mac OS Leopard, and the automatic tool switching slows me down, but even preferences doesn't show a way to turn this off.

With any marquee tool, JUST holding down the option key should not switch tools. You need to explain the problem much more carefully, It's completely impossible to tell from your description whats going wrong.

The only preference related to this, is to do with the SHIFT KEY - "use Shift key for tool switch".

Since installing the Firefox update today, when I hit the keyboard Tab Key in the course of composing an email on gmail, it sends the (!unfinished!) message. I need to disable this "feature". How?

In the compose window if you hit tab you are tabbing through the buttons on the compose window. You have to hit space in order to sent the message. Please check to see if there is a feature in your gmail that is added to the default. Or see if there is an add on that has saved this feature. You can try safe mode to eliminate the add on theory [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]] and reset Firefox if it is a saved application preference.

"Repair Disk" is greyed out because you cannot repair the startup disk. You should be able to verify it, but to repair it, you must start up from some other disk, like your iMac's system DVD.

How to display the Option Key / Apple Key / Shift Key sign in a Text Layer

Hello everyone,
I will be doing some ScreenCasts on some application very soon, and already did my captures / sounds. Now I would like to use motion to display a kind of 'Lower Third' to display KeyBoard shortcuts which correspond to some actions.
This will probably sound dumb, but I'm wondering how I could display the sign for the Shift / Option / Apple and other special keys on the apple keyboard in a Text Layer. It's probably something easy, but being rather new to the Apple scene, I have no idea how to achieve that.
Any help would be welcome.

How to stop the prompting message of master password when I open firefox when not opening on a site that doesn't use a password?

Every time I open Firefox it asks for my Master Password. I am not on a site that has a saved password, yet it still asks for it. Sure I can hit Cancel, but continually doing so is a nuisance. It never used to do this in past versions, it only asked for the master password when entering a site with a saved password. Is this a bug? How can I stop this annoying behavior. Sync will try to connect to the Sync server to look for changes, from other devices that are setup for that account, shortly after Firefox is opened if anything is set to be synchronized, not just tabs. You need to disable Sync from "auto connecting" to Sync, disabling the sync of tabs alone isn't enough.

We have the following business process
We create BP with role prospect in CRM, once the prospect is ready to buy the product we conver the prospet in to customer and thesame customer is replicated in R/3 fro sales.
What i am looking at is for the customer we created in CRM if we change any data that should be updated in r/3..it may be nay like name address ...language....etc.....
can u help me out...as u told me to unassig/delete the subcription:All Business partner(MESG) under that we have --
>publication>All BP(MESG)->Replication object-->Bupa_Main
>Sites-->SQ1_300
If we do this process does the issue will fix or else we need to do soem thing more...

My keyboard freezes after using the option key... what gives?

I have a 17" MacBookPro with OSX 10.6.8
The problem: My keyboard key freeze after using the " option key" in Photoshop or when downloading a file using the option key.
I can usually use it 2 or 3 times before it makes a chirping cricket like sound… then my keys freeze up.? The only way to correct it is to restart.
Anyone else have or had this issue? it's frustrating. What's the deal?

It is not possible to restrict SU3 to display, because it has only S_TCODE has the authorization object.
If you really want to restrict users from changing their profile you have to remove the SU3 access and give SU1 or SU2 which gives access only to Personnel details and Parameters.

launch iPhoto wile holding down the option key and select the original library - when you create a new library of course it is empty
And you seriously need to backup your iPhoto library and purchase and install iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store and download and run the iPhoto library upgraded \then run the new iPhoto - 7.1.5 is not fully compatible with Mavericks

ive only found how to stop the address bar from disappearing and everyone with the tab problem seems to have posted this over a week ago and still hasnt been fixed yet if noone has a fix im out and done with firefox they can suck a fat one
why add this feature! i can understand the address bar but not the tabs all you have to do to hide it was push the tab button again and its gone was that so fucking hard that you had ruin a perfectly fine browser

In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and facilitate future improvements to Firefox, the option to hide the tab bar was removed.
Fortunately, this can easily be resolved if you desire the keep tabs hidden. You can install "[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/ Hide tab bar with one tab]", an extension hosted on Mozilla's add-ons site, which will restore the ability to hide the tab bar.

I am constantly finding that Calendar Version 8.0 thinks it knows what I want to type but it incorrectly takes numbers and days and times out of my input and changes my appointments. I hate this new supposedly "smart" feature. Even when I edit my event correctly a second or third time it rewrites my input incorrectly again. I have to use my iPhone to override the annoying editing on my mac. I am ready to find a new calendar program unless Apple allows users to input what they want without their information being incorrectly edited.
