I can't figure out how to stop a url from turning into a link automatically in Pages, can anyone help?

From Pages' menu, go to Edit > Substitutions and uncheck "Smart Links".

How to stop headphones from becoming 'Input' for sound

Hi,
I hope somebody here can help me with this problem.
When I connect my headphones to my Macbook Pro via the jack, the Sound Settings automatically change so that the headphones are not only the Output but the Input too - so if I record something whilst the headphones are connected, rather than the Internal Microphone being the default recording device, the headphones record instead!
The problem is that I'd much rather use the Internal Microphone as the Input when the headphones are connected as the Output. But for some reason there's no option in System Preferences to stop the headphones automatically becoming the Input and to use the Internal Mic for this instead. This seems bizarre to me, as my previous headphones were purely Output by default.
Is there any way I can change this? Set the headphones as Output only, whilst using the Internal Microphone as Input?
There must be some kind of Advanced Settings somewhere!
I'd be very grateful for any suggestions!

p.s. Below is a screenshot of my System Settings > Sound after I've plugged the headphones in. As you can see, Input has changed to 'headphones with in-built external mic" and there appears to be no way to change it!

Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

How to Stop Safari display of links in hover bars when rolling over pages?

Sure, this may be a feature, but it is a nuisance. I often go to web sites, e.g. staples.com or officedepot.com that have catalogs of products in which each image can link to a particular product's page. They usually have a little more info about the product that pops up during hovering over the image(s). Only problem is that you can't see what THEY display because something like "Great GPS device for $..." gets covered over by a yellow test hover bar display from Safari insisting on you knowing that the link will take you to to "http://officedepot.shoplocal.com/officedepot/Default.aspx?action=browsepagedet ail&storeid=2478180&rapid=515623&pagenumber=1&listingid=-2091997555"
I can't find an option to disable this ugly hover pop-up "feature" in Safari.

I have a friend thats having trouble trying to stop the printer from printing out a confirmation page everytime the printer prints. If I print anything it still prints out a confirmation page. In Windows I know how to fix it, in Mac I can't find any option to turn it off. Does anyone here know?

URL iView becomes blank / white page

Hi,
I have a problem with some url iviews. We have several url iviews linked to a page. These url iviews are displaying a jsp page from another webserver. One of those jsp pages is automatically reloaded after 3 minutes.
The problem is:
After some time each url iview is getting blank. It is only showing a white page without any content. I've checked the source code, which is also blank. If I reload the iview or the page, nothing happens, the iviews stay blank. When I log of, start a new browser an log on again, the iviews work again.
Does anybody know this problem? Can you please post a solution for this problem?

I had a problem like yours today. It´s not copletely the same, because our sap crm web was allways white after selecting a menu, but maybe it can be usefull for you.
We added these two parameters to DEFAULT profile using RZ10:
a. login/accept_sso2_ticket value should be 1
b. login/create_sso2_ticket value should be 2
After saving and activating the profile, you need to restart SAP.

How can I add document-internal links in Pages 5?

I have a number of very large dicttionary documents (300+ pages) all of which have internal links. The internal links allow you to jump from one letter to another, so that, for example, if you're looking at words that begin with S, you can go to the A-Z letterboard at the beginning and end of the S section and immediately jump to any other section. I've also got links in the middle of the document leading to parts in the front matter (so, for example, a mention of the word "relative clause" will be linked to a section in the grammar discussing relative clauses). The nice thing is that these links would remain active when exported to .pdf, so when I shared them with others, the internal links continued to function. Each document has hundreds of these internal links. All of them appear to have been broken by the new version of Pages.
Is there a way to create document internal links like the ones I used to use for Pages '09, or has this functionality been forever removed from Pages? If the latter, who do I scream at?

Bookmarks have been removed along with 100 other features.
You could post at Menu > Pages > Provide Pages Feedback but that is pointless in my experience
Instead rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store where everyone can see it. In our local App Store, Pages 5.1 is back down to 2 stars with again 61% of users saying they hate it.
Pages '09 should be in your Applications/iWork folder, use that instead.

Images cannot contain links. All that stuff is done in the web page source code, e.g. using image maps, interactive SVGs or JavaScripts that track coordinates and respond accordingly. You will have to use a web authoring tool like Muse or Dreamweaver to produce such stuff, but since you seem to be a complete beginner, I strongly urge you to read up at least on some basic stuff about HTML, CSS and how the web ticks in general or you'll be forever lost.

The pages in sections stick together because the text flows between the pages.
Insert a section break to isolate pages between sections.
Now this all works in Pages '09, unfortunately Pages 5 doesn't let you.

I looked into the previous threads , could not find the answer to "Changing the privacy statement url to clients privacy statement url".
I am talking about the privacy statement URL in the page that user see it as soon as user logs into the e-business suite.
I have read the previous theads and developers guide regading how to show or hide this autofooter thing. but could not find any thing about how to change the one in the login page.I even looked ino personalization but could not find a place to change this url. please HELP.
Another question is " is it ok to show privacy statement in just the first page and hide it in rest of the application pages?"
