What would be the best way to store my music video's and digital booklets?

DVDs hold 4.7GBs of data. CDs hold 700MB of data. If you have files that are larger than the capacity of a CD , then you'll need to 'span' multiple CDs to copy the file.
Some burning programs can manage this for you, others cannot. You'll have to read the help files of whichever programs to which you have access.
You can Use iTunes for Backing up your Music and burn music/data CDs.

How to store HD videos on Mac?

I have acquired a Canon HF200 HD vamcorder, and I can't figure out how to manage the files on the Mac: a 1 minute video takes about 200 MB in the camcorder's flash memory, but it becomes 950 MB after importing using iMovie. That means 60 minutes = 60 GB (more or less).
I understand that it has to be uncompressed for editing purposes, but after the editing session is finished, is there a way to stuff the genie back in the bottle? The "archive" method offered on the Mac only reduces the file size by about 30%. So how can I store these raw files in a more manageable form?
If I copy the camcorder's memory card to the iMac HD, iMovie will not accept the AVCHD format from the HD as an input source. Does that mean I can shuffle the compressed AVCHD files to the Mac HD, but have to move them back to the camcorder's flash chip in order to import them as clips into iMovie? Tell me it isn't true!
What am I missing?
BTW -- Canon supplies some really poor video editing software for Windoze, but it does manage to retain the smaller file size while editing the video clips.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, but you lost me somewhere in the Disk Utility operations.
I created a folder on my HD and dragged the AVCHD folder copied from the camcorder memory to it.
I create a new image in DiskUtility: File>New>Blank Disk Image
I can't find any menu items resembling "Choose size from Backup folder/create"
I did manage to create an image whose size I could choose (can't remember what path I took to get there) but when I try in iMovie to File>import Movies, and I select the image where I dragged the AVCHD folder it wants me to select a subfolder but is not happy with any of them.
What am I doing wrong?
BTW it is my intention to buy a 1TB drive once I learn how to do this...

Yes, you can add your own videos to iTunes, then sync them to your nano, subject to supported max resolution limit and file type. The specs for the 7th gen nano says (I don't know which nano model you have), Video Format Support

(earlier nanos have lower max resolution limits)
So, "HD" video is too high resolution, so iTunes will not sync such videos to the iPod (although they play in iTunes). If you are asking how to set up iTunes to sync videos in general (regardless of source), please post back.

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

IPhone - How to store and retrieve lots of video?

Hi all,
What is the best way (from a software design point of view) of storing and retrieving an arbitrary number of videos within an app?
As an example, say there exists 100 videos. How would I store those videos and how to reference each one? Hard coding them into the app seems the wrong way.
I'm not sure if I'm thinking along the right lines, but maybe some kind of file which can be read in containing the file names?
The videos would be bundled along with the app.

Bundle the video files as a folder within the application resources bundle. You can then list the contents of the folder which will contain only your video files. If you want additional metadata associated with each video, then you will need some kind of accompanying data - plist, text file etc.

How to store movies & TV shows in a different location

Hi there!
I've seen many of you asking (unfortunatelly with no clear answer) how to store movies & TV shows into another location away from the iTunes Music folder. This idea is to store videos on an AirDisk drive and keep music on the MacBook for example!
I've been trying to do so in the past few days but some pb have occured...
- it is possible to replace the Movies folder by an alias pointing to a Movies folder in the AirDisk drive: existing movies will be playable in iTunes.... the problem is that when I try to add new movies iTunes do not store them into the Movies folder on the AirDisk but in the local music folder (very strange as it is a video file!).
Has anyone succeeded in using such mechanisms?!

You cannot delete them from iCloud.
They are purchased and will always be available in iTunes in iCloud for you to download again if you wish.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
