How APEX stores CSS files in a database?

We are trying to locate the tables in a database, where APEX stores the CSS Aplications files?
We have lost some important CSS and Java Script files and we have a backup of these files. However we can not locate the table in a database, where we have to upload these backup? There is too many files to install them manually. Please help!

Hi,
uploaded files are stored in the wwv_flow_files table as BLOB.
Try select * from wwv_flow_files.
As they are stored in the database, you can't find them in the hard disk drive.
As far as I know they can only be viewed in Shared Components > Cascading Style Sheets (for CSS files).

How to store a file in a database

Is there an easy way to "put" a file (not just the path to it, but the binary data of it...) in a database ?
In other words, do exist any classes to handle a file just like a multipart attachment ?
And then, in which kind of database data type is better to put the file ?

Store links to uploaded files in mysql database

Hello. What I'm trying to do is, let a user upload a file to my server, and lets other users download those files. I don't want to store the files in a database, because that will slooow things down. What I was wondering is how I would be able to store links to the files in the database, and let other users view them, and download them. I'm using apache tomcat, and MySQL.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How to store any file in database using Forms? EVEN non OLE Compliant

I have to store and retrieve any file (not only image and OLE compatilble file) in the database and retrieve it later without using Forms and email it using java stored procedure. How do I do that?
I used OLE, but the problem with this is later when I retrieve it, some OLE specific control information is also retrieved, which means the data stored is not only pure data.
In the forms, I just want to give the file name and it should store that file into the database as we do with READ_IMAGE_FILE. Is there any way of achieving this?

By using Oracle Forms, how to load text file data to Oracle Database table?

Metalink note 33247.1 explains how to use text_io as suggested by Robin to read the file into a Multi-Row block. However, that article was written for forms 4.5 and uses CREATE_RECORD in a loop. There was another article, 91513.1 describing the more elegant method of 'querying' the file into the block by transactional triggers. Unfortunately this more recent article has disappeared without trace and Oracle deny its existence. I know it existed as I have a printed copy in front of me, and very useful it is too.

Hi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!

1) load the attatchments ADFrc af:inputFile (http://technology.amis.nl/blog/2297/adf-faces-file-uploading-it-is-really-that-simple)
2) store the loaded data in the DB -> mysql doc or google should have the needed information

Those Xtras can wreak to much havoc when used with the wrong
intent.
What you can do is write with setpref and store a list of
saves and the
saves itself seperatly. Then you'd have to build your own
save/open
dialog to let the user:
* pick a previously saved file to load or overwrite
* have the user type the name of a new file to save.
Only thing that remains is that the user cannot decide where
the files
are saved.

So I'm guessing you are loading a text file into a database table using SQL*Loader and using the skip funcionality to skip records you don't want loaded. Now you want to do something similar in PL/SQL?
You could take a look at External Tables which will allow you to specify the text file as an external table and skip rows just the same as SQL*Loader, but you can query directly from it, or you could go the long winded way about it and use the UTL_FILE package to open the file, read lines of data and process those lines yourself choosing whether to skip lines and which ones you want to insert into a table etc.

If the data is on a remote server (for example, PHP running on a web server, talking to a MySQL server) then you do this in an AIR application the same way you would do it with any Flex application (or ajax application, if you're building your AIR app in HTML/JS).
That's a broad answer, but in fact there are lots of ways to communicate between Flex and PHP. The most common and best in most cases is to use AMFPHP (http://amfphp.org/) or the new ZEND AMF support in the Zend Framework.
