How to stream photos

How do I set up my phone, laptop, and desktop to have my photos on all devices?  I'm running latest software on all devices and think I have things turned on but I don't see the pictures.  Any on line instructions?

iPhoto can't stream anything, it does that sort of thing via iTunes. I'd be asking that on a Roku site.

    You can't.
AppleTV 1 does not support Airplay only Airtunes for audio.
There will be no upgrade.  It's Apple's way - they want you to upgrade to newer hardware all the time.

  • Can't Stream Photos

I have consolodated my other two threads to this remaining issue - I can't seem to figure out how to stream photos from iTunes on my host (PC) computer. I have sync'ed the music files to the ATV OK, and figured out how to stream video files also. But, I don;t want to sync the photos, as I don;t want to use up all the hard drive space on the ATV. When I sleect the ATV in iTunes, the only options on the Photo tab is to select to sync. No option to share/stream.
How do I stream the photos from this same computer?

The issue here is that itunes doesn't handle the photos so you can't expect the same behaviour with photos as you have with all other content on your PC. In simple terms if your library is set up as a primary (syncing) library then you have to sync photos, if your library is set up as a secondary (streaming) library then you have to stream your photos.
Do you realise if you stream your photos (secondary library) you can't use them for screensavers etc.

  • Stream photos from iphone to digital photo frame?

Does anyone know how to stream photos from my IPhone to my digital photo frame (2009 Pandigital #Pan1502w02)? Thanks in advance!
(There are several bluetooth and wifi enabled USB and SD media (Eye-Fi, FlashAir, Transcend, etc) that will presumably work with the USB, USB Host, and SD/MMC ports on my photo frame. As an aside, the frame also has MS/MS DUO, Compact Flash, and XD ports if there is another medium that will work better. Pandigital used to make a wireless USB adapter (#PANWF01) that would stream photos from Picassa. Unfortunately, I can't find any in stock.)

  • How get all photos from photo streams without iPhoto

Hi to make A long story short, I lost a Hard Drive with iPhoto on it... Including all my baby's pics ... However I can still see them in the photo streams on my idevices.. First off without that Mac how can just grab all the photos off photo stream without iPhoto?
Secondly, if I can install iPhoto on another machine or drive will that help or hurt me? Will all the photos show up under my Apple ID and can I just copy them or am I running any risk of deleting the streams?
Is my only option to copy photos from photo stream a few at a time? And does that not repush them back up to the stream and erase older photos?
    Thank you for any help!!
Yes I know I am a complete idiot for not backing up or using online backup service...

If you create a new library on another Mac, set its Photo Stream preferences to
and log into your iCloud account on that Mac and enable Photo Stream,  the Photo Stream photos will automatically be imported into the new library. It can take a while depending on how many photos are in the stream.
When you're done log out of your iCloud account and copy the library to a flash drive or DVD (if small enought) till you get your new drive.

  • How can you restore photo stream photos back to Apple TV after accidentally deleting from your iPad

After accidentally deleting photo stream  photos on my iPad, this deleted photo stream photos on my Apple TV.  How can I restore these photos back to my Apple TV and also to  my iPad?  Suggestions welcomed

If you have a backup of your iPad prior to the date of deleting your photos, you can find them. Otherwise, you might be able to find them.
If you do have this backup, then you'll have to restore your iPad to that point.
If you had a Mac with iPhoto, then when you connected your iPad, iPhoto would store the photos separately from Photostream.
I despise Photostream. It's turned off everywhere on my system. It is one of the most useless pieces of junk that Apple has foisted on my Mac and iOS. But hey, that's just my opinion.

  • I used to see a monthly "Feb 2014" photo stream category in my library for each month.  Now all of my photo stream photos (from my iPhone) are under "iCloud" under "Sharing" and I don't know how to get my pix out of there and separate them into libraries

My computer has changed how it accepts photos from my phone.  They used to post into a library by the month and year, e.g., "Feb 2014 photo stream," but now all of the photos from my phone for the past year or so are lumped together into the "Shared" section under "photo stream." I did not put them there (that I know of) and now don't know how to get them out and into a library where I can categorize them.

The monthly events "Feb2014" will show you all photos that have been imported from "My Photo STream", if you have enabled "Automatic Import" in the "Preferences > iCloud" tab.
The albums you are seeing under "iCloud" are the "Shared Photo Streams" and "My Photo Stream". To import from your "Shared Streams" drag the photos frommthe Shared Streams album to the Projects in the library panel.

  • How to deleted photos in Photo stream?

Can anyone help me to delete photos in Photo Stream!!
    Parshwanath

    From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 :
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream on my devices?
After deleting the photos from your Photo Stream in iCloud, you can remove the Photo Stream photos from your devices as follows:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream and turn Photo Stream off. This will delete all the photos from your Photo Stream album. If there are any photos you want to keep on your device, make sure to add them to an album or save them to your Camera Roll first.
On your Mac, go to iPhoto or Aperture preferences and turn off Photo Stream. This will delete all the photos from the Photo Stream view. If you had Automatic Import enabled in Photo Stream settings, your photos were also imported to your iPhoto or Aperture Library and will remain after you disable Photo Stream. If you want to delete any of these photos from your Library, you can do so manually any time you like.
On your PC, you can remove Photo Stream photos by deleting them from your designated Photo Stream download folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Users\Apple\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream.
