How to style type with varying character baseline heights

I need to find a fast way of styling type with varying character baseline heights? I want to give the impression of jiggly type with each character having a different baseline shift. Any suggestions on a script that might help me?
each character of the sentence will have a different baseline shift value.
the baseline shifts are a repeating sequence of the following values:
2, -1, 1, 2,3,-1, 0,-2,-1,0
Is there a script I could use or modify to help me with this?
At present I have to modify each individual character which is very time consuming

Dave, thanks for your response, i think the tpye needing styling would be selected first.
The type needed to be styled is a single paragraph at the most.
So you think a bunch of individual character styles grouped into a nested style as part of a paragraph style could work?

How to style text with XML import using character style that is in a group (aid:cstyle = "group1"."style1") ?

Hello, I am using an XML file to import text into InDesign page items. Everything works well using the attribute "aid:cstyle = style1" but since the introduction of InDesign groups, our users want to use them but we do not know how to reference them in the xml attribute.
I saw somewhere on the internet that you should use "aid:cstyle = group1:style1" or "aid:cstyle = group1|style1" but both won't work. They simply create a new ungrouped style name "group1:style1" or "group1|style1"
So what is the right formula ?

Tagged Text is nice but all the copy in your page item is one big block, no way to separate and track individual values, say in your page item you have a description and a sale price, you can't update the price without reimporting the description as well. We use many fields inside an individual page item and just as one example we need to be able to update all prices on the page without modifying anything else that shares the page items with the prices. Also XML updates you can trigger an update for the whole document in one operation, while with Tagged Text you have to "place" your text file for each individual page item you are modifying (even with scripting you call the place function as many times as you have page items). So say you have a page or document with 200 boxes across multiple layers that is a lot of individual actions.
Anyway back to my problem.
I've never used Mapping tas to styles before, but running some tests here I clearly don't understand it. If my text is already tagged and I map a style to a tag, it untags all my individual text elements and leaves only the page item tag, and doesn't style my text... I'm going to try and read more on this.

Find same type with same colour and height in the document

Hi,
is it possible to select text with the same colour and height and anything else as the text which is already selected in CS4. I know that this tool exists in freehand but I can't find this tool in CS4. F.E. I have selected white text, bold, height 12, Arial and I want that ILCS4 finds any similar text and selects it so that I can edit this text.

thanks for the reply. I tried already the things you proposed, but how do you select only the text with the format as I described before and not all text or any other element with white fill colour. I only want to select white text, height 12, arial, bold. Is it possible to select only these text format anf nothing else in the documant. So I need a tool to make more fine selections possible, especialy to find same text format.

How to Type a Return Character

Please feel free to hit me over the head with the obvious stick if the answer I seek is obvious!
How can I type a Return character into the Info/Comments field? I've been using the Clipboard, but is there some kind of keyboard combo I can use instead?

Unfortunately, no. The Comments field doesn't support line breaks with the Return key (or a key combination thereof).
The only workaround is to migrate over to the Lyrics tab and type your text here (feel free to use Return to create line breaks).
Copy your text, migrate back to the Info tab, and paste your contents into the Comments field.
Line breaks should then appear.

How to use recursion with images

Ok, for this program I'm trying to recursively repeat an image 3 times with varying widths and heights, and I don't know how to do that with images. With rectangles and other shape objects it's easy because all I had to do was override the draw method, but with images I'm not sure what to override to allow me to repeat the drawing of it with a different height and width. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would I be able to work that in with recursion? Currently I have a JPanel with the paintComponent method being overridden, and I've tried setting up the paintComponent method to call itself to repaint the image, but I've realized everytime I resize the application's window paintComponent gets called again making the images go out of site. Is there a way to override the drawImage method to allow me to change the width and height of the image without causing the panel to repaint itself?

If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter. If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in? iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time. If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.

Please do the inventory check for the whole bin.Count the each quant of the material. Difference can be cleared.Use following transactions.
1.LI01N-Create Inventory document.
2.LI11N-Enter inventory count.
3.LI20-Clear WM differences
4.LI21-Clera IM differences.

How to create a table with varied number of columns?

I am trying to create a balance table. The colunms should include years between the start year and end year the user will input at run time. The rows will be the customers with outstanding balance in those years.
If the user input years 2000 and 2002, the table should have columns 2000, 2001, 2002. But if the user input 2000 and 2001, the table will only have columns 2000 and 2001.
Can I do it? How? Thanka a lot.

How to give the Submit along with Variant

Dear Freinds,
           Iam using the Submit program with variant in my custom program . When iam exucting my custom program it is directly opening the program with the variant . ie. just like we execute a program and select varaint.
it is not happening what i want ,it has to schedule the program with the varaint (i.e. what ever fields have been slected in that varaint) and when i go and see in SM37 . The job should get schedule, this was
happening when iam sending one are two parameters in retrun of the submit without me using VAriant.
please help me where iam going wrong.

now my question is what i have to do in the case of VAriant so that it acts exactly as the below parameters.
My problem why iam going to varaint is in the standard program rptqta00 i have a button Like TESTRUn ,Batchinput,Direct etc.............. this iam not able to pass the OK code along WITH in the     Submit syntax.... i dont know how to pass in the case of Button's along with Submit ,,,,,,,,,however iam able to do for radio buttons .
could any one tell me why the variant when iam using is taking me directly to the program instead it is not returning
secondly if iam passing each parameters in the submit program how can i pass the BUTTON value ( which is having tick option for either TESTRUN ,Batchinput,Direct )

First of all, you should be sure that there is such a data type within the variant; otherwise, you will run into errors.
I recommend you to create the cluster and create a type definition from it. Then drop an array shell from the array palette and drop the cluster type into that array.
Connect that constant to the data type input of the Variant To Data function.

How to set focus on field having data type other than character(eg. NUMC)

I have developed one screen having table control inside. In table control suppose if numeric type field is blank(eg. Employee number of data type NUMC), system should throw error message and should put cursor focus on that perticular filed. In the same table control for fields of data type 'CHAR', I have done this using 'SET CURSOR FIELD' .
Please, suggest me how to set cursor focus on the fileds of data type other that character(eg. NUMC)

Have you tried it? SET CURSOR FIELD ... works fine for type 'N' fields in a table control. The restriction is 'character-type' and 'flat'. Type 'N' (or NUMC-like) fields are both.
